we are proud to say we have not increased our prices in a decade and will hold the line on pricing till Miss Christina retires :) we have no desire to add to inflation regardless of the increase in pricing on Dog supplies treats and food..

Our Companion beagles come in many unique looks,
matching special desires of different forever homes! We have the standard tricolor beagles, alongside many stunning colors and various sizes- from jogging companions to easy to tote lapdog sizes. The price of each puppy is determined based on special characteristics of Color, Size and Gender. |
Sunshine Colors include the traditional black tan & white Tricolor, as well as the more rare colors Chocolate & white, Orange & white, and the very unique Khaki & white. These are highly prized, especially since certain rare and unique colors most often tend to have shorter fur, shedding less overall, and have less beagle tendencies like tracking ability. In some cases, khaki beagles have been known to not bark... a vast difference than the normal bloodline of tri color beagle that barks "Tracking " along a scent
and wakes the neighborhood ;) !
Sizes include: Standard size, Runt size (slightly more petite/slimmer build than standard size, but not as small as the mini), and Mini (overall shorter/smaller).
and very rare Nano size which are born drastically smaller
and often require much more constant initial care to assure they nurse
and receive vital colostrum from mom so they are healthy
like the larger littermates who can tend to push a smaller
pup off nursing and take over its spot.

Ultimately, the price of each puppy reflects the price of adopting that particular darling, whom we have invested countless hours into raising, from careful spoiling of their pregnant mommy, to round the clock supervision while a newborn
(especially for the smaller babies who are more fragile around a sleepy mommy who could lay on a tiny one and not notice), to weaning and preparing for your indoor home environment! While no breeder can guarantee adult size, we make our best estimate based on years of experience handling newborns and knowledge of our lines. |

We price females slightly more than males because they are
more valuable to us as we consider each as a possible
improvement to our homebody bloodline.
We only need so many males. wink wink!

Rare-Colors:
People love them for the tendency to be less like the stereotypical hound /beagle traits.
Most lines shed less than tri colored beagles, and/or have shorter fur that is not as thick. Often their hair tends to be softer as an added plus!
washing a tri color beagle sometimes means taking care to unclog the drain a few times to keep the water draining out !
Years ago we observed that Tri color beagles coats were thick and came out alot when bathing vs the rare colored beagles with shorter fur who mostly shed when they loose winter thicker fur , at the change of seasons and not nearly as much as tri and some silver lines tend to . |
yes that's just from rubbing my hand down the back as I washed this tri beagle..
which lead me to work over the past 25 plus years to improve on that for indoor housepet beagles ... selectively keeping the best of the best to add in to our unique line . we do not allow breeding of our line so as to keep our years of work for our adoptees benefit only :) akc dna tested studs prevent other breeders from stealing our formula lol.. |

the Nano size happen so infrequently ... so we don't want anyone asking to get in line for one now that we have only a handful of litters a year in NC . you can ask for one but please also specify mini size as an option
if we don't have a nano when you are hoping to adopt when you tell us your preferences.

you can see the siblings below are very different sizes . here they are as newborns and as 7 week old pups.
and at 8 weeks when she was adopted and still a tiny baby who could sit on a friends shoulder who coined the name Nano size :)

just like with humans not all are alike , so if you are hoping to find a less shed coat please let us know that is a priority, also diet is important for animals just as it effects humans so we recommend Eukanuba small breed puppy with Omega 3 Fish Oils for skin and Coat above other pet foods for better fur. We have used it and iams for our beagles for over 25 + years as Select Breeders chosen by the Company as a respected Beagle Breeder .
Our khaki Stud muffin "Boca" has a really slick short coat and often his offspring tend to as well if they take after his side of the family lol.. He sired the litter that Scarlett the khaki pup above came from .
Bald Head Island "Slate" was a super sweet fellow a family with kids raised there.
"Open marked" beagles even our khaki and silvers don't tend to have the least shedding coats . White fur
tends to be longer and come out easier year round so the least white tends to shed the least..

we have had some extremely small pups born and often they are the rare colors..

year and a half old "Happy" above was a tiny stud we retired after a few litters .
the rare colors especially the khaki tend to just want to be indoor house pets. this former stud we called Graham Cracker colored, a mix of khaki and orange, would find his way into our birthing room and be sleeping on the couch when we would come into the birthing room he would be there.. we retired him to be a South Park condo pet in Charlotte for a lady whos first sunshine beagle had passed of old age . She lets him sire litters for us when needed . meanwhile he snoozes in her luxury high rise happily.
He could care less about huntin wabbits... |
Max the khaki pup above lives in a high rise above Tampa Bay , they tell us he can look down and see people and loves his spot to nap in too :)
|
(These 2 rare color sunshine beagles, a silver and a khaki, were both adopted from us by their owners who work at Pixar Studios. These pups get to go to work with their human parents there each day ! )

The Beagle Lingo
Refer to this Quick Glossary so you can know the beagle-lingo,
& understand what we mean when we describe a puppy on the website!
Often the blaze can narrow in somewhat, especially as the coloring on the head lightens, for instance in tricolors when the black is replaced with the red/brown coloring. For tricolors, this red/brown/tan color comes up thru the black on the head, ears, and shoulders during the next few months after birth.
Solid Head:
Having a solid head means the dog does not have a white blaze on the face. They may still have white around the muzzle (around the nose).

a pup that starts out like the one above looses the black on their face and ears and shoulders to look like the more typical
Tri colored Beagle with a red solid head and black saddle on the back.
Tri colored Beagle with a red solid head and black saddle on the back.
The coloring around the eyes will soon be the coloring on the whole head except where there is any white areas on the nose/muzzle. The back remains its original color, except with a little lightening on the shoulders sometimes.
Open Marking:
A dog is open marked when they have lots of white markings & designs on the back, rather than just the traditional black saddle back.
these markings are adorable , yet they do not tend to have our less shed fur... more white seems to mean more loose fur vs our rare colored beagles who have very little white and shorter more slick fur... if shedding matters ask for one with very little white :)
Bandana:
A bandana is the white around the back of their neck. It looks like they are wearing a white bandana around their neck!
More:
Litter: A litter is the group of puppies a mother has had.
Newborn: A newborn puppy will begin its first 2 weeks of life with its eyes closed, and those 2 weeks will consist of constant nursing, snuggling, and sleeping.
Most all Tricolor newborns will start off with only Black & White colors, and will later develop their red/tan coloring on their head and shoulder.
Many Orange newborns start off with black hues mixed in, and will lose this black as they grow, and develop into a rich Orange color.

Tricolor
The traditional Beagle Look
When people say "Tri-color", they are referring to the typical beagle's look: Black, White, and Red.
Black on the back, which is often called a "saddle", and Heads and shoulders loose the black and become red/brownish/tan when they grow up.
Tricolor puppies generally all start off just Black & White
As they grow, the red/tan color found on adult tricolors starts to come through, gradually replacing the black found on their heads & usually shoulders & haunches too. The white pretty much stays how it is, although blazes can narrow in some as the puppy grows up.
Once they are an adult, their color has transformed from the 2 colors only (black & white), to the common 3 colors (black/red/white).

his owner boarded him with us frequently as he grew up nearby when they traveled to Myrtle beach , and allow us to use him as a sire to add in this unique look with the coloring down his leg. and white paws , or "sugar foots". Mike joined our waiting line saying he wanted a pup with white feet so he could name it sugar foot. and he was content to wait till one arrived that looked like that ..
finally this cutie did and he was claimed by mike from Gastonia. We keep his daughter Shug who also has this look and one of her son's Gaige lives nearby now days and his owners do the same allowing us to use him as a sire when they go to the Beach . We also kept all 3 daughters by Shug one litter for ourselves and they have litters for us now that she has retired.

Chocolate
Our Chocolates are all beautiful brown and white color.
Their classy shade may vary from a lighter chocolate to a dark chocolate, most usually at a rich medium.
Their Heads can turn lighter brown when grown, but not always.
They, as well as khakis, can tend to have the least shedding coats,
mainly shedding winter coats as the weather warms etc.
Some rare colored beagles have fuller more soft coats than others and that may be your preference...
Of course not all ancestors share the less shedding shorter fur so if that is important,
please note that in your preferences when joining the waiting list,
and be prepared to possibly wait longer for your color/ size/ gender/ match.
If the color is one of your preferences, but least shedding isn't priority, you will find a puppy sooner.

Families who have had both traditional Tri colored beagles and one of our Rare colored beagles tell us
they much prefer the fur of their sunshine beagle
both softness wise vs the coarse longer fur of other lines
as well as the lack of hound dog odor their previous unrelated tri color beagle had from another breeder.
we have worked for over 25+ years to improve the fur in our line of indoor companion
house-pet beagles. of course like people there can be variations some are more soft but can shed depending on ancestors and diets .

Tina told us she is sold on chocolate beagles after having a tri colored boy first, when he passed of old age they came back and picked Darcey's choc. sister
& later adopting Darcey too! |
sister's Darcey and Sadie and one of Darcey's silver girlies who went to a Army co worker . (Darcey's returning customer's agreed to let her return to us to have a litter:)
and boy did she do a great job having 9 babies in all colors !! (her chocolate boy above
and his khaki brother ) |
not all our breeding doggies live here with us , occasionally we allow one we would like to keep,
to go to a known customer we have worked with , with the agreement they return to help us keep a bloodline going here in NC. at our original location.

Orange
Our Orange beagles are such vibrant beauties!
Their heads typically stay the same color as the rest of their body. Sometimes an orange may start off with some black in the orange on their face, ears, or down their back as a newborn, but then tend to develop to their bright/rich orange as they wean and grow, losing any black on their body, like a tricolor would lose on his head.
They are typically only 2 colors when grown- Orange & White
these tend to do best and thrive with adult homes where leadership is consistent in their pack.

current breeding mom Cyan has adorable pups like her sons below !
Orange beagles can tend to be more dominant Alpha personalities and are very intelligent so they respect a pack leader they are very loyal side kicks , we prefer they go to homes without young children . these are more active and need the most exercise of our line of pet beagles . Great for young couples who enjoy the outdoors and staying fit.
for orange males we like to find homes with young adults who have experience with animals and leadership , and it works well when they have an adult dog who can also help instill the pecking order in the household .
certain lines of orange and chocolates can have super short coats that shed alot less than a tri color beagle.
Its not a perfect science yet , some shed more than others...and often this can depend on diet as a key player in shedding fur ,we have worked for many years keeping the dogs with our best fur to breed into our line of house pet beagles, as we continue to work to improve the beagle for companionship qualities as well.

Leo is a dream. Another night down of sleeping through the night in bed with us. He’s already started only peeing outside. I’m even more excited now about the next puppy because he is the best puppy I’ve ever met.
Rare Silver beagles
Silver |
when this family came out to adopt the pup they had claimed, they fell in love with the silver sister too and decided to take a pair of sibblings for their daughters to both enjoy... later they brought a family friend who was smitten with their pups to get a silver sweetie of her own too .
the majority of our adoptions are to family members and friends who fall in love with our beagles and want one of their own :) we have no need to advertise with our constant repeat business ! |
the Diaz family adopted one of Darcey's silver girlies and agreed to allow us to have a litter by her in the future to keep silvers going in our NC location :) he works in the Army with Darcey's owners who let us have a litter.
above silver runtsized stud "Ace" comes back to board with us while his family heads to Myrtle Beach, His mother Bella had a litter for us and was then spayed ,they got to keep Ace, and when the family travels he visits for free if he sires a litter for us while here... Here he inspects some of his handy work the last stay :) a silver sweetie pup
Khaki beagles are Miss Christina's favorite of all ...
Miss Christina and her constant companion Gracen our resident sire... and his son we kept :)
Thanksgiving 2022.
Thanksgiving 2022.
They show less interest in being a dog and more in being a furry child who adores going where you go! Over the years the coats have gotten shorter and in some cases they seem like a duck, water pours off them. They loose seasonal coats but not the amount of fur a tri colored beagle does, by far. Only one khaki beagle in our 28 years of breeding beagles has shown any interest in using her nose to track and we retired her rather than breed her, so as to not breed that line into our kennel or keep any offspring that would be interested in Tracking down animals in our khaki line of housepet beagles.
Some of our tri colored beagles have some of our rare color ancestors in their bloodline to water down the instinct to track animals some still occasionally like to sniff the yard after a squirrel or bunny here or there
but most lay around, waiting for attention from their owners, and could care less when one runs by.
Many people say the rare colored beagles especially the khaki are easier to train and smarter, we think they just listen because they are more focused on the humans than their hound dog relatives; other beaglers breed for hunting and tracking abilities first and foremost.

Their coats tend to be the most desirable whether for softness to the touch making you want them near and enjoy petting them, or in some cases less shedding shorter fur that rarely comes out, except during the changes of seasons such as after having a thicker winter coat - they loose that extra warmth by loosing some coat when bathed etc. The shorter coated beagles don't tend to need brushing like some of the thicker longer coats on hunting lines; the hunting lines have coats that are meant to come out in the stickers so they can keep going while their excess fur stayed behind stuck in the brambles.. no big loss since they had plenty more and it came out and was replaced constantly and they could keep moving on after their prey.

as we say however the least white khaki coat sheds the least so open marked ones with more white typically dont have the extra short fur that comes out less . If shedding matters to you choose one of our solid khaki pups with no open markings:) even though they are adorable too.
