We are selectively breeding for good indoor companion qualities, and among all the companion qualities we breed for, we have also worked to develop softer, more indoor appropriate coats in our housepet beagle bloodlines, and these coats come in many beautiful hound colors.
The softer coats are not as 'hard' and stiff of a fur as some hounds can have- which was originally bred for with the sporting intention of hunting and running through the brambles.
Tricolors, Chocolates, Oranges, Silvers, & Khakis!
So many Colors to choose from!
what are your favorites ?
A liter of mini-size beagle puppies!
Tricolor on the top Left, above a Chocolate,
beside two Silvers on the right.
The traditional Tricolor Beagle is the Black/Tan/White or Black/Red/White Tri coloring usually seen.
As newborns, they are only two colors- black & white, and as they grow they develop the third reddish coloring on their heads and shoulders where black was present, the white stays white.
Patches joins the Vanblon family here in Monroe NC!
"Miss Christina & kids,
I just wanted to you send yall an update on Patches. He is doing soooo great in training class. Our trainer gave him the pre-test today and he passed 16 out of 20 objectives. She said he is one of the smartest Beagles she has ever trained. Housebreaking is going great, he goes to the back door and sits to let us know it is time to go out. He has finished up all his shots and is going later this week to be neutered. The Vet said he is one of the prettiest puppies ever.
We are looking forward to seeing you all again next week when we drop him off for boarding.
Thanks again for raising such a smart little fellow for us!
Audna VanBlon & Family"
Tricolor "Patches" back to board at Sunshine Acres while his family travels!
(We offer boarding for our beagles only- we love seeing our babies again when their families go on trips!)
Chocolate & White Beagles
Our classy Chocolate Beagles have warm Brown & White coloring, and they can often have less shedding coats! Usually their backs will have a deeper chocolate, and their heads will be a brighter brown color.
Chocolate beagle puppy Cole sits calmly on his bed with his litttermates here in our home. In this puppy setup, he has the choice of bed and toys, and paper, and learns to choose paper for "good hurry up"and keep his bed clean. We work with our puppies ahead of time to help with the transition to their indoor forever pet-home!
"First of all, the new pictures of Cole and his littermates are ADORABLE!! He has such a sweet little face we can't wait to pick him up. We are glad they all liked the stuffed dog, I was afraid it would be too big!"
- The Hroncichs
"Hello All, I thought it would be nice to update you on our little Cole who turns one today! I can't believe its been a year already since we first contacted you about him!
Cole has been an amazing addition to this beagle-loving household. He has grown to be so handsome, he gets fawned over everywhere we go! He is also quite the mush, we get lots of kisses and cuddles from this little guy.Cole is super smart and is a quick learner. He enjoys our daily walks and trips to the dog park.He is quite entertaining and gets along so well with Roscoe, our first beagle who is now 2, and Gino our 6 year old basset-beagle mix that we rescued back in March of this year. I have attached some pictures of Cole for you to see!
Thank you so much!

Beautiful Chocolate adult Beagle "Cole"
Our vibrant Orange and white beagles are attention getting sidekicks! They will sometimes have the beautiful eyeliner, complimenting their colors very nicely.

momma Punkin lounging around with her weaning puppies in a moveable gold pen as they enjoy a warm spring day in the sunshine in our front yard.
Punkin is now retired into a good pet home after having a few litters here with us for others to enjoy her line!
After a few litters to keep their line going, we like to allow our mommies to find a great family to enjoy a pampered pethome life!
Athena's son "Bailey" went home with Josh from Orlando Florida who works for Disney as an event planner!
Our luxurious Khaki and white beagles are Miss C's favorites! We have worked to develop softer coats all around, and the khakis in particular most often have the very least stereotypical hound traits and are usually the ones to have the nicest less shedding fur, a hypo-allergenic coat which is why many of our customers who have had allergies to dog dander and fur in the past chose to adopt one of our rare color khaki beagles with the shorter less shedding coats. The Chocolates, Silvers, sometimes oranges, and occasionally tricolors depending on heritage can also have the less shedding coats good for allergy prone families! We breed each of our lines keeping all traits in mind, while also focusing on coat quality since our babies are bred to be indoor companion pets.
Christi and khaki beagle puppy "Disney", he went home with resturn customers, ESPN producer and their chocolate sunshine beagle "Walt" !
Khaki Cuties... Interior Designer inspired colors !! (We say this tongue and cheek)- sometimes folks do tend to appreciate their colors for their beauty, but these are all true hound colors, some of which are much more rare than others. What is exclusive to our bloodline is the many years selective breeding we've done to increase the quality of coats, softness, shorter length of fur coat, and due to their quality, in many cases the richness & vibrance of the color, and decrease the amount of fur that comes out, since these are intended to be indoor housepets.
This is only one of the many traits we've considered and focused on more than other breeders who are developing their lines for other purposes. We don't agree with designer dogs, where breeders cross breed resulting in obtaining some of the traits they desired from various breeds to create a new type of dog or look, ours are all pure bred beagles, we just used our discretion to choose puppies with the best possible qualities, one of which included a softer less course coat, that Miss Christina's mom, who was an interior designer, noted many years ago would make a better indoor pet and she favored the less shedding khaki color, which she joked coincidently went so well with many yuppie decor, thus we jokingly made the comment they were interior designer inspired colors many years ago, before the advent of what other breeders have bred for and coined as their 'designer dogs'. We have not designed the beagle, we have only enhanced our line for - Pet homes & families who want an indoor raised sweetheart to love for a lifetime companionship ! Folks tell us their khaki beagle has less of the typical beagle traits such as tracking, howling , and running off. we love that other folks see the difference in them too ! A family who had a tri colored beagle when the kids grew up told us their dog would escape and go hunt down rabbits to bring to their back door as a present. Their khaki beagle is so unlike that dog they told us they dont even have alergic reactions to it vs their tri color that made them alergic when it was at home not out hunting prey !
Miss C's Yuppie Puppies !
Just wanted to let you know we made it home. We played all afternoon, must have worn her out!!!. She slept like a baby all night long. She couldnt believe the snow the next morning. Also would like to tell you how well you handled everything. I can't see why anyone would want to go anywhere else for a beagle pup. You had all the answers and very helpful in getting stated on the right foot. I still look over your web site, so many helpful tips are there. You should be hearing from my sister soon about one of your pups.
Our beagles enjoy both cuddling,
as well as adventures with the fam!
"These are some pictures of our beagle, Kiwi. We got her from you last March and her name was Juliet before we got her. We love having Kiwi as a part of our family! She is the sweetest puppy, very loving and cuddly. She loves to play fetch with ropes, toys or balls. She loves children and other dogs and gets so excited when she sees the kids coming home from school. I thought you would like to know that she is doing great and we love having her here!"
After meeting the Case family's Khaki Mini "Justin", Granddad fell in love with their Sunshine Acres Beagle and wanted one of his own!
As we head home, we check our emails on the laptop and see a new one from Karen with an email from David to her husband attached to the bottom!

I just picked this little guy up in Charlotte. While I was speaking to Christina, the breeder, she saw my Pixi and said "the iPod and Pixi creator is getting one of our pups, too...". After a few questions, we figured it was you - these guys are adorable... Bosco, here, is for my in-laws - we got a khaki pup back in March... Enjoy! Dave"

Kristin & Stan at our house meeting us & our babies. They claimed two siblings and then came back to pick up their new kids!!
"Hi Ms. Christina,
This is Kristin and Stan from Georgia. We got 2 of Carla's first litter. It is hard to believe that they are 15 months old now! Pickles and Elvis are doing well. They are so spoiled and we love spoiling them! They travel so well (in fact, they have flew to Chicago and Cleveland with us!).
We always receive compliments on what beautiful dogs and coats our babies have! We make sure we always tell them about our wonderful handraised bealges from North Carolina! In fact, we were in the vets getting our yearly rabies shot
and the whole office was in a buzz because "Pickles and Elvis" were in!
20+ years of development has gone into producing our exclusive beagle bloodline. This means we are selectively breeding to develop an all-around exceptional companion pet, meant for homes where having a healthy indoor companion to be strictly a member of their family is their desire. We are not claiming to breed for hunting and improve the beagle breed for Hunting and Field Trial enthusiasts who want a beagle whose traits were bred for those purposes, we breed for companions, and we leave hunting breeding to the other reputable breeders who specialize in designing their beagles for those customers. Our dogs are bred to be family pets for approved homes and do not go to breeders, hunters, or pet stores. We don't claim to have the only rare color beagles, simply that we are the exclusive source of this all-around exquisite line that we have worked to develop over our years of dedication to the breed, which includes our years of development on these enhanced luxurious fur coats, with beautiful colors, and improved less shedding coats, as well as the family-oriented mindset, temperament and all the positive beagle traits we have bred for in our bloodline, and since our pets do not go into breeding programs, only we have this unique pedigree & bloodline.

As a family, our family-homelife is where our passion resides.
We are not a pet-store and we consider our efforts raising our puppies and taking care of our dogs here at home more important than making sales or pursuing leads that may or may not be serious about adopting a beagle puppy from our family. Adoption of one of our family's babies is personal, so please read about our family, and then tell us about yours before asking to adopt, so we know you're serious and have taken the time to read first. :)
Raising beagle puppies is a full time engagement for our family. Our in depth website reflects our 20+ years of selective breeding and raising beagle puppies for approved pet homes and happy families. We have many detailed pages on adoption and so forth to help prepare new interests for the important step of puppy ownership!
Miss Christina's daughter Christi and orange sunshine beagle pup Chili Pepper. Chili had been adopted and then came to board with us here at home while his parents went out of town. We LOVE seeing our babies again and hanging out with them while we take care of our daily duties here at home, including web updates and emails with sincere adoptive homes.
We, Miss Christina and Christi, have built our website to help share our years of experience (20+ for Christi who has been raised with puppies since birth, and 40+ for Miss C who had beagles growing up, and started breeding select beagles as a stay at home mom when Christi was born!) and answer everyone's questions ahead of time through our detailed web topics with our pictures, to narrow down our volume of inquiries so that we can take our time to focus on our babies first and foremost, and those who took the time to get to know our family's passion and are truly serious about adopting from our family. (It also takes time to raise a puppy! Raising a puppy is fun! But it can also be diligent work taking patience, consistence and passion to help your pup fit in and learn from your composed and connected positive energy. Dogs pick up on energy very well, and begin adjusting to your energy, so we care about seeing a good energy from potential adoptees!)
We just want to see everyone happy for the years to come, and know that potential families are willing to work with us patiently and positively through the process of adding a puppy, and follow our family's doggy-advice in the future. We truly care about our babies' futures, and are here to help sincere adoptees whenever we can!
Miss C Christi and Cody with Joyce and her son Spencer! Joyce flew out from California to meet us and stayed in town for a few days, visiting the NC coast and brought back souvenirs for our family! They knew we love to collect beagle related item for our home office, and found some really cute unique ones that we proudly display for others to enjoy
Miss C and Christi with good sunshine friends Yolanda and Nicole, visiting us here at sunshine acres! Yolanda adopted one of our retiring mommies, and then later added a pup. Her daughter later also adopted her own! We have gone to visit their organic farm and beagles as well as them coming here to visit us. We forming lasting friendships!
Our puppies are our family, and our family time is important, this is why we choose to maintain our website for everyone's knowledge and benefit, and take our time to communicate via email with only the pet-homes who have already appreciated our provided info about our beagles and our family, and that our family feels comfortable moving forward with in approving for adoption. Learn about us, while we care for our puppies here at home, then share your family's details so that we can likewise learn about you, and choose you to make a happy forever match with!
