over Thanksgiving we enjoyed having Cliffie's two boys adopted by Annie stay with us so she could travel to New Mexico.
its way more fun to be back where they just came from with us than in a boarding kennel

And at night they can sleep in their own bed and feel at home here in their first home.

runs $48. a day . we haven't gone up on our rates in many years and are trying to stay reasonable for our customers.
she is also welcome to perch ontop of the couch lol....

each doggie brings their own things... bed, bowl, food, and please bring treats for their stay
we like to keep them on the food they are used to. Bringing treats to entertain your beagle when we may be busy taking a shower, or something, helps us keep them happy here.

update: we watched as Maya was fed her blue buffallo and our dogs got eukanuba in their bowls and observed she walked away and came over to their food... so we fed her some of ours and she would eat it.
we asked if she could have some of our food with hers and they let us.
since then they tell us she is on eukanuba again like when they adopted her and happy with her food no cheese or canned food to tempt her to eat that other stuff.

... we let Maya try some of our Eukanuba she was raised on here and she starts eating it happily... no need to top it with canned food or cheese so we get her owners permission and gradually add in some of our food to hers till shes eating much better and finishing her bowl. once they returned from vacation they used our link to chewy on the tips pages to order her eukanuba and no more issues getting her to eat ! plus we get a small commission for all the purchases made from our link to help us keep the website going

we ask folks to bring their bed or crate to sleep in.
Maya goes right in hers to nap ... especially with a nice jerky treat to lure her in :) please bring treats to use for your pet

Maya is loose when she wants to be but has her own things , they bring her food bowl, and treats in a container and her bed and blankets in her wire crate.
on her most recent visit over thanksgiving we saw she is much more food motivated now and likes to be nearby in the kitchen ...

Miss Christina shared some Disney books with the family we have shared many times over the years given to us by a fellow who worked as an event planner for Disney in Orlando who adopted an orange male years ago and brought all kinds of goodies and mickey mouse toys to give our family when he adopted .

it was a little family reunion for her, she got to see her Mom Paisley and sister Harmony who just became a support dog to a woman with a heart condition who asked to adopt her for Pet Therapy. Lillie Rose on right above Harmony in middle and their daddy Gracen on left.
She enjoyed playing with them while visiting us again . They tell us they love knowing she is safe here and having fun rather than being in a cage at a vet office or boarding facility with no interaction for her to enjoy

the pair have fun , and Charlie has a chance to socialize with other dogs, and play rather than being in a pen in a kennel somewhere he isn't at home at :) He was raised in Ga. and came up to NC.
where they adopted him. Coming back here to Sunshine acres is familiar to him and we are happy to have him stay , plus its on their way to Disney World :)

Our Pampered Pet Boarding in their first home sunshine beagles again . Eve visits us after having a couple litters she retired to join a lady who's daughter bought a sunshine beagle puppy while in college to jog with competitively . Once she married and moved to Va. her mom decided she needed company and asked us for a retired dog to join her so she didn't miss her daughter and her dog so much. And to keep her from being alone.
on a recent stay with us here at sunshine acres she got to see her daughter Sophie's chocolate son Charlie aka formerly "Sprout"
he happened to be boarding at the same time as his Grandmom.

when Charlite's family comes back after two weeks in Florida going to multiple Resorts there, they say hi to Eve who is here with us too :)

we let the dogs sleep in their own bed or crate , having them crate trained is helpful when we need a moment to meet with someone here ... it gives us a moment to take a shower etc . without any worries that they are safe and comfy in their own space.

a customer recently told us how glad to hear that we watch our beagles here they were after checking on a place that charged more and if you wanted 35 minutes of human contact that ran another twenty bucks ...
our doggies know us and we love seeing them again here we don't tack on fees for that attention we look forward to it :)

reesey's owners daughter grew up coming out to sunshine acres beagles from the time she was little.. this time she and a friend come pick up Reesey and she gets a big kiss from her doggie who is happy to see her !!
Reesey and Cooper both come often to stay with us and have their own beds/crates with open doors they can go in when they wish...
this Christmas time she visited us again and let herself in her own crate to snooze before we had a visitor picking up her puppy :)

adult rehomed beagle Mini went home with a widow who so appreciates having a good friend to share her home with …and keep her from being lonely, when she travels we get to see mini again :)

Recently adopted "Delta" comes right back to us to watch when her family takes their vacation to Myrtle beach... she is already pretty much housebroken now and sleeping on her own bed. The family brings her bed and she sits in it and watches tv with Cody and Nefertiti … what a darlin !
Miss Christina's son Cody and his wife Nefertiti live in their new Camper on our acreage property and often enjoy inviting one of their favorite pups who comes to board with us to spend the night with them !!
