Cliffie and Teddy had 4 pups
they had 3 orange boys and 1 chocolate girl !
(All 4 puppies have been adopted now ! )
We were so happy with her first attempt at motherhood , not only did she raise her cuties and as you can see they were chunky monkeys... she had a desire to help others and would go stand in front of Paisley's area wanting her littlest girl so she could help out... being so tiny we had to hover over and make sure the biggest littermates didn't push her off while she nurses... so Cliffie would let us bring her in on the couch and nurse just that little khaki nano and fill her up !!
recently we had the owners of the sire of the litter come back out to see the pups grown before they all went home to their new families... they love Cliffie and of course wanted to thank her for making such cuties just what they hoped for when they agreed to let him come back one day to make some puppies for us !
Cliffie is such a gentle girl she is great around children and loves attention
Cliffie is such a sweetheart and loves everyone...
the girls loved playing with her puppies and we thought it would be a good chance for the little chocolate girl to get some experience before she went home to kids in Seattle.
Moose and Fraggle went home
New mom Annie arrived Sunday with more goodies to share,
with us for the doggies and puppies we have right now !
with us for the doggies and puppies we have right now !
she just got back from a biking trip to an Island off Washington state and brought Cody a T-shirt
since he was born near Seattle :)
since he was born near Seattle :)
she brought a friend along to drive home so she would be able to bond with her new kids on the trip to Raleigh ...
we got to see her neat top of the car Pop up Tent set up ..
you climb a ladder to get in ,
she said as a single it makes you feel safe when you camp out in the wilderness pretty cool !!
she said as a single it makes you feel safe when you camp out in the wilderness pretty cool !!
she got to sit with her new boys in the backseat on the ride home :)
and we are infinitely grateful to her for the many boxes from Chewy she sent to help us along the way to her Adoption Day !! she said don't be surprised if more things keep arriving to help you all out I so appreciate the time and care my son's had while here at their first home sunshine acres !!
I found myself not calling you breeders ... these are hand raised by Family :)
these guys are just way to darn cute now... the pair going home together to Annie got to play out in our perfect Fall weather...
Moose and Fraggle have gone home now
getting a pair of siblings is so much fun they have one another to play tug o war and run around with
they really enjoyed playing with the toys Annie sent for the pair..when she adopted the pair she told us to keep some for the other pups to enjoy here too !
Fraggle loved the chicken flavored nyla bone ... but he was worn out from all the outdoor play and took a little nap ...
we got an update on how her boys are doing now...
Hello!!
It is going so good - they are such an incredible gift, truly. To get acclimated we’re staying downstairs - when I brought them home the playpen was set up downstairs, and taking them upstairs to the crate for the night felt like too much change, so I decided I’d stay on the couch for the week so we can ease into routine. |
They’re doing great sleeping through the night (hell, I get up to pee more than they do!) and they’re doing a really, really good job using the wee wee pads. We’re working on the hurry-up routine - the collars I have for them are a little too big, so I need to get two smaller ones. they’re both good about letting me know when they need to pee or poop and i’m tracking their timing.
This weekend if the weather cooperates I’m going to load up the play pen and go to a grassy park and hang out to play. As it stands now I get into the playpen with them and play - no free roaming. Oh! And they’re eating really well - because i had purchased some wet food I’ve been putting a spoonful in.
I really can’t thank you all enough, I can one thousand percent tell the difference between these two and my last sweet pup. While he was a wonderful, wonderful dog he was nothing like these two in terms of cuddliness, calm (I don’t mean no puppy wrestling, but just separation anxiety) - the hands-on raising approach you all take is so evident.

I’ll send through pics periodically and hope to be making various travel arrangements soon so I can let you know and see if you all are available to look after them.
I’m glad I was able to help you all out, it brought me a lot of joy to do it.
How’re all the other sweet pups and mama’s doing? How’re the humans holding up?? Lol

we got to watch the boys over the Thanksgiving Holiday while Annie flew out to her mom in New Mexico.
as always she came with lots of goodies in hand to share with the other boarding doggies we had here at the time , such a huge help to us !!!
we just love the opportunity to work with our beagles again here as they grow up...
good sit boys... we can tell Annie has been teaching them...
we just loved having them around again here!
Cliffie and Teddy's chocolate girlie was the only girl in the litter of 4 pups.
she has been claimed by returning customers the Seidenstein's getting their 2nd sunshine beagle from us.
she is being hand delivered to Seattle to her new family by Cody and his wife . Cody was born in Kirkland Washington so we lived near the City in Woodinville when he was little...
and they took a pup there to repeat customers in Seattle once before, and look forward to exploring some more :)

Julie and Josh's first sunshine beagle "Lucy" used to board with us when the couple traveled.
( here she is staying with us years ago )
( here she is staying with us years ago )
just knowing what they liked , when this little doll baby was born we immediately thought of them for her knowing they had asked for a puppy in the future , and sure enough she was the ONE they fell for..
the couple relocated to Seattle and had kids over the years... and stayed in touch with us letting us know how one of our favorites was doing being a big sis...
she got to play with some of the cute toys that Annie had just given us for the others to enjoy!
woo hoo this toy is fun !!
we met the couple years ago when they lived in Charlotte and adopted "Lucy" from us.
since then they've moved to Seattle and have kids and wanted another of our sweeties to join the family.
since then they've moved to Seattle and have kids and wanted another of our sweeties to join the family.
she is the smallest of the litter and has a cute personality that is so snuggly
the sire "Teddy's" owners came out to see his pups and they just loved how much she looks like her Daddy !
returning customers originally from Charlotte the Seidenstein's now from Seattle have claimed her
they plan to fly Cody and his wife out to hand deliver their new baby girl in Seattle where they relocated from clt. ( Miss C's kids love to do courier trips to see places across the USA. for our returning customers:)
we always knew from the day she was born she would be the one they'd want .
not kidding ...
not kidding ...
we got together with Teddy the daddy of the litter's family again and they got to see the cuties he made
everyone loved the chocolate littlest pup who looks just like her father.
everyone loved the chocolate littlest pup who looks just like her father.
knowing Teddy's kids were careful and experienced with puppies we thought this was a good opportunity to let Cliffie's girl be around children since she will be going to returning customers who didnt have kids yet when they adopted their First sunshine beagle many years ago...
such a sweetie she gives a little kiss ...
above she chews on one of her last littermate here's toys as the pair play the day he was about to be adopted.. now her scent is on his things and when his new owner brings one out it will be familiar to him and comforting in his new home ...
Gus plays with an elephant toy we had here so his scent is on some things she might take home.
we had another little blanket so we also got his scent on it so Cody can put it in her carrier on the trip to the Northwest when they take her onboard the plane to her new family there so she has some familiar things in her new home/family :)
she was the smallest in the litter the mini of the pack , next to her runtsized brother .
we keep some supplies on hand and her new family purchased a harness and retractable leash from us so we got her used to wearing it here before her flight home to Seattle with Cody and his wife hand delivering her to repeat adoptees the Seidensteins getting their 2nd sunshine beagle from us.
before she delivered her litter for us, Cliffie was calm and laying on sheets with a flat heating pad under...
then it started... her eyes show she knew something was up...
then it started... her eyes show she knew something was up...
that morning and Miss C watched on her phone with our pet cam on her,
once she started making her nest and ripping up her sheets, we knew too !!

we share some of the Full Moon chicken treats Annie sent in her care package for Cliffie when she takes a break from the litter....
we think these are the very favorite of all ... how nice to have them to feed between meals to keep the moms making milk 24/7. they are so helpful to lure mom's away from their babies to take a much needed break for themselves to stretch their legs and build up more milk while away..
Cody brought the babies in while he was cloroxing their whelping area and at first "Cliffie"
wasnt sure what to think... big ole eyes...much concern...
wasnt sure what to think... big ole eyes...much concern...
and we got to return them to new sheets in their area once it was all dry,
and warmed up again by their heating pad beneath the sheets..
if anyone has flat sheets their kids have outgrown or even one with a random Clorox stain ...lol
they would be a big help to us as we prepare areas for Sunny and Paisley to go into their whelping areas too... moms tend to tear their bedding as they ready to deliver so we don't need perfect ones lol....
her babies are doing good nursing and now they are heading over to the wee wee pads in their area to go
so we keep up with changing those out as they begin house training... soon they will learn to go outside via a doggie door :)
so we keep up with changing those out as they begin house training... soon they will learn to go outside via a doggie door :)
we like to use a low box for initial paper training so they learn the difference between blanket, bed, toys
and the other side where the scented wee wee pads and or some newspapers goes...

see her pups individual photos below on this page
two of the little orange boys have blazes between their eyes .
this is her First Litter for us and she is doing well as a new mom cleaning the babies and snuggling with them:)
one of the orange boys has a more narrow blaze than the other. He has a wider bandana.
such cuties we are thrilled with how nice and healthy this litter is !!
the orange boy with a more narrow blaze between the eyes has a nice big white bandana around his neck :)
as does the chocolate girlie she has alot of white markings :)

she loves to be held while the kids watch tv and is so good and calm
in the next few weeks they will lighten and look more like moms coloring except the chocolate girlie who will take after her daddy :) seen below : Teddy as a puppy had a wide blaze white muzzle, and big bandana :)
and so does she !
and so does she !
Cliffie's chocolate girlie has a big blaze and lots of white open markings :)
her new family sent her a nyla bone toy for the trip she could have in her carrier to entertain her.
when Paxton's owner arrived to take him home after his boarding visit we showed her one of the babies !!
Christi came home for a night with us after the 2 active shooter incidents while she was on Campus at
Chapel Hill, we were glad to get to spend time with her. " Happy" looks in as she is taking pics of the chocolate girlie in a new environment so we can have wee wee pads on one side and a blanket and bed and toys on the other for them to explore. at this age its just right and keeps them safely contained and learning to go on paper not bedding etc.

we invited the owners of the sire of the litter to come meet his puppies and they loved how sweet she is.
but we already knew that..
she is a favorite of Cody's wife for snuggles

Julie purchased a harness we had so we could get her used to it before the courier trip the kids did to take her home to their home in Seattle to help settle her in there. And she got to play with her snuggle puppy they sent her for once she was here alone after her brothers went home.
they put the kids up in a very nice hotel so they could get to everything downtown easily.
returning adoptees the Seidensteins adopted her and sent these photos from the North West
here she is in her new home in Seattle with her new family. Cody and his wife did a courier trip out to hand deliver her to the busy working family and got to site see in the area he was born in out in the NW.
Julie works from home as a Real Estate Attorney and loves having her lap warmer to keep her company
runt sized orange boy with a blaze has been adopted by Glenda from Shallotte NC.
"Gus"
she sent his chewy goodie box with treats she can use to train him, and poop bags for walks in the park...
and a cute bunny and hedge hog....he got to play with his sibling with so he has fond memories from it
here when he is in a new place with a new face , something familiar is just the calming thing needed...

he liked his new hedge hog toy!
Gus and his sister played with his toys and had a good time together
he is a smaller build than the other orange male with a more narrow blaze
Wider blazed runtsized orange boy
he seems to be a slightly darker orange like his mom. the black between the orangey more Red fur begins to dropout in the next few weeks and they will brighten.
below he is on the left side by the bed , you can see his shade has more red
these two are the smallest in the litter
thanks from Miss Christina and kids to the Calise family from
Rhode Island

he and the chocolate sister are smaller , runtsized babies:)
returning customers from Orlando fla sent Cody Universal studios tee's , which was special since it was a good memory from growing up out in the countryside the one time Mom and Cody got to go to Florida on a real vacation together we went to Orlando's Universal Theme Park !! (of course daughter Christi had to stay home so someone was watching over things on the farm lol... well kinda..... a beagle farm anyway :)
he is smaller than the other boys and we think he will be a runtsize orange boy.
His blaze is going to be bigger than the standard brothers below.

how precious is he
we just love his long white tipped tail ... like the top of a candy corn lol....
(we thank the owner's of one of Sunny's pups "Monroe") from last yr. who gave us that cute toy in the background for this time of year !!

Glenda sent her update to let us know how Gus is getting along in his new home...
He’s played went both bathrooms slept during ride home just fine and I adore him so very much.
He’s acclimated and light snoring. 😂💗🐶💗
standard sized Narrow blazed orange male has been adopted with the solid head brother by Annie. Both boys have already found their forever home now with Annie
she brought a friend along to help with the pair , we enjoyed meeting her too , she has a tropical plant store in the Raleigh area and loved seeing our plants Miss C. has here ... especially our massive Elephant ear plants !!
Annie just sent a 2nd box of goodies for the moms !! we so appreciate her help as we continue to fatten up her boys via Cliffie lol...weve always loved Full moon and love the spot farms now too !

Annie has been so generous with us , sending now a 3rd care package for the mom's so we have in between snacks to keep the milk flowing !
"Moose"
has a solid red head and is claimed by Annie along with his narrow blazed brother.
these two siblings get along well together and will be going home together to keep one another company while their owner is busy , we love seeing a pair stay together for companionship.
one day Nef was taking a nap and Miss C. found the solid head boy on the nice silver blankie that Francis
gave Miss c. for just such a time letting a pup learn to relax and nap without mom coming in the area to wake you and the others up for a drink

Annie's boys next to the 2nd box that arrived from their owner !
we really like these new treats to us... and especially since they are made right here in North Carolina !
"Moose" is the first to open his eyes and gets to come in for some attention :)
Cody's wife spends alot of time on the couch, she is deaf and looks at things on her phone easier than on tv alot of the time. this means there is usually a nice lap to be on for pups learning to trust and hang out with a human as they open their eyes and on till they leave us and go on someone else's lap lol.
this sweeties head will be like his pretty moms a bright red/orange once all the black drops out over the next few weeks.
we are all so happy to have puppies around sunshine acres again one last time
the solid head orange boy "Moose" and the narrow blazed brother are both claimed now by Annie and will go home together with her and keep one another company as she works from home.
since we know these two brothers will be living together they get to spend time alone from mom and littermates as they grow up here in our home...
Nef looks at pictures of kitties on her phone lol... no really she can do that
real puppies vs what she cant have lol a cat !

Moose is a darker shade of reddish orange like his pretty mom Cliffie's color
Cliffie had an adorable litter for us and we are loving spending time with them teaching things like Trust
and for the Joy it brings us and others who adore our hard work
her fur is super soft and we love her BIG ears !! and expressive eyes......LOL
all Cliffie's pups found wonderful homes and she did as well with a returning adoptee who had asked for another adult female to adopt in nearby Charlotte.
we certainly seems to have made herself right at home and has taken over Katherina's grandson's spot !
we loved getting her update and seeing Cliffie with another orange and white beagle her new owner's family brought to the Celebration !
it makes us happy to see her in her loving new home and knowing she will be so well cared for .
