she has found her forever family , returning customer’s the Ray’s came to adopt our very last puppy !
they loved how super soft and less shedding her coat is.
they recently lost their Sunshine Tri colored boy they adopted many years ago from us . We were in the brickhouse on this same driveway next door when the family came out to adopt their Joey , they said Miss Christina you dressed up like an Elf for our little girls that Christmas in that house up there…and pointed next door.
Miss C sold it and moved into the little log cabin next to it above a pond when the kids went off to College.
They said we can relate, our girls are now off in College !
they were so thrilled to see Joy finally come available and reached out right away.
they told us they were so appreciative of us letting them have her, and especially lucky to get to adopt our very last sunshine pup !
Cody has just started a Job in his field , so the timing is good for us as well .
All loaded up with her things, and ready to move in with the Ray’s from Lexington SC,
Miss C mentioned having lots of puppy items we will no longer need and Ashley offered to get them for her new baby girl. Many were on hand for adoptees who hadn’t picked up an item, or sent it in their puppy care package prior to their adoption day. We told them folks would show up to take home a pup with a much too large collar for the trip home. Or forget to get a blanket for their lap, or a toy with mom’s scent to calm them etc.
Miss C. also had Joy’s beds, and favorite Toys to send so she could feel more at home, in their Home .
Joy’s very favorite was the white bunny , in fact as Miss C. went around the house putting together all Joy’s things, and the things we wanted to pass along to help with her assimilation into her new environment Joy looked on …and Miss C. explained it was finally her turn to find her forever family to make her the center of their empty nest …
the Iams Lamb and Rice she’s been eating, some chew treats for teething, her favorite Jerky , little bowls for a pup , puppy sized anything they were welcome to since she’s our last one !…
Joy could see her favorite toys like Mr. Bill … OH NO>>> she sat watching and figuring it out. hum they put a collar on me to get used to..
I saw my littermates getting adopted, all the puppy care items were collected and they got to put on one of these collar things, and then their family took them home with them and all their goodies. Plus they are calling me Joy Presley now… & sometimes just Presley I think I am getting adopted !!
we sent along all different sizes of Wee Wee pads, we wont be needing here any more….small and medium winter coats for her this Fall and Winter to grow into…
Then Miss C loaded it all up in a big tote with wheels for her to take
she inspected everything, then grabbed her bunny to play with till they came to pick her up… Lol
she got him !!
you can keep me company she tells him… Till we go to our new family and Miss C. and Cody can do other things, and get to Really retire this time
after Joy left Cody took Teddy in the camper with him to hang out.. Neffie still calls him Baby Baloga cause he had a wide forehead of white and was the cutest chocolate beagle boy. With Sirius gone home, and Joy Miss C took advantage of her freetime and started baking…Banana, and Peach

We got home around 1pm and she has been playing and sniffing EVERY inch of our home and her new backyard. She finally decided she wanted a nap. Sending you a video of her snoring. So cute!!

we had 2 boarding boy beagles with us her last week here she got to meet and play with
she would just walk into a boarding dogs open crate so we let her , to get used to it if she likes it lol..

being the tiniest in her litter of 7 puppies Miss Christina made sure she nursed and when she was full we would let the others have their turn.
the litter was born Feb. 12, 2025
she cuddles up to lay her face on mine and snooze … too sweet.
being the runt of the litter sometimes means a pup doesnt get to nurse as much as other bigger littermates who can tend to push them aside.
we made sure she always got to nurse until full , before letting the rest so she was sure to get her mom’s healthy colostrum .
we stayed up round the clock taking turns making sure they all got a chance to nurse, and then each one had to be cleaned every two hours.
we hope she will be short legged like Gracen she sure seems to be the smallest even next to her mini siblings, who were much smaller than their 3 standard sized littermates we kept separated in a play pen in Cody’s old bedroom.

she sleeps in the kids camper sometimes now, and is content to nap while they work remotely on computers or use their phones
and sometimes gets to meet Boarding Sunshine Beagles like Tri colored Sirius
she was so little she used to ride around in Miss C.’s huge scrubs pocket !
we let her meet Boarding doggie “Sirius’s” family who drop him off before they head to NJ. for a family reunion.
at the moment we have 2 adult males boarding with us she is playing with…
she is a playful friendly little gal
this will be our very last beagle puppy from sunshine acres , going forward we will only be boarding our beagles when our customer’s travel.

Now that her mom Sunny has been claimed and will be joining the Elwood’s when their summer travels are over ,,,
we have found a home for her last pup too .
Joy has found her forever family , our thanks to all those who had asked for her, we wish we had more to go around but we have finished our mission to give our hand raised babies to families to enjoy for many years to come.
