About our Waiting List

Our special line of family raised beagle puppies is admired by viewers from all over the nation, both those ready for the right puppy whenever he or she comes along for them, and by those who are thinking about their future.

During times with so many folks out there emailing us about the potential of their home and one our babies, we find it most efficient to allow those homes whom we feel comfortable with to then become pre-approved for one of our babies,  and hold their spot on the waiting list to find the perfect companion beagle for them!

Joining the waiting List is done by first reviewing our website to learn about our family and beagles, and then emailing your household details for approval so we can learn about you! Once we have reviewed your email and give you a thumbs up, then you can place a $100 deposit/ downpayment to join the waiting list and hold your spot in the claiming process. I then also send you access to the additional pages such as the guidance pages with our parenting advice from years of experience for raising a new learning puppy.   

Deposits hold your spot in the claiming process and represent a committment, and are non-refundable.

As of the deposit date, you will hold your position in the line of potential families, and may be in line for as many puppy-preferences as your desire (Colors/Sizes/Genders/ perhaps facial markings/ good timeframes/ etc. )

We developed a Pre-Approved Waiting List to help the overall claiming process, so that we can learn about homes ahead of time, pre-approve appropriate households, and see successful puppy to family additions. The Waiting List narrows the field so that you are not in competition with other emailers who are may be seeking our immediate attention & approval, while trying to appeal to us as the best match for a current puppy. In years past we saw many times when there were several viewers interested in a particular cutie pie. By joining our waiting list, we contact you about your matches, and you can also let us know your favorites ahead of time. You decide about claiming a puppy or passing before your matching puppies even become available to the public.  By becoming pre-approved & joining the waiting list ahead of time, we know you are a serious & committed family, and can better focus on what you are looking for.

    As a member of the Waiting List, you watch our updates online to follow along, and prepare for your new addition by reviewing our exclusive Guidance pages. Continue to watch each baby online as we post pictures of him or her growing up, announce turns one-by-one, allow folks to claim their babies, and finally Join their forever family to learn and prosper!

Prepare by reviewing the Guidance pages which we will send you access to, going over New Puppy Guidance, Care, Health, and Training, all our experience compiled here for you and your lifelong pet to benefit from for years to come!

  You can always update your preferences as they develop. These include Color(s), Size(s), Gender(s), okay Timeframes, or whatever is important to you! If you don't have very specific preferences  or know you'd love any type of sunshine acres beagle, that's perfectly fine too, you'd simply be offered more puppies that match, and have more turns to claim from a wider variety of puppy types that you'd consider.

  Turns are determined by the order in which folks join, the timeframe they are waiting for, and what options they are open to. When it becomes someone's turn to decide about matching current puppies, we announce it online and send an email, and they can then officially claim what they've been hoping to find in their 10-15 year friend, or pass for any reason & continue waiting until everything works out perfectly for everyone!

 In most all cases it has always worked itself out just amazingly perfect and we find the right home gets the right puppy! From there, Sunshine Acres Families continue benefitting from our experience by assuming the role of leader, and directly guiding their attentive beagle.

   Ready to raise a baby?

  Different preferences on the Waiting list can often become satisfied, as folks update their timeframes or preferences, and others take their turns.  Sometimes there may be only one person in a preference line who's ready at the moment, and multiple matching puppies. They would choose theirs, and then the other puppies in that category would be announced as Available to the public, so that new folks who are ready for a puppy can ask about bringing them home! However, if there is one person left in line, there is a chance that while we were waiting on that one person to decide, someone new may have asked to join the waiting list for those preference, and when we are able to review new emails and allow them to join, they would be next in line to decide! Instead of becoming available for anyone to claim, the matching puppies would then first be offered to the new Sunshine expectant parent, since they went ahead and joined! 

   Planning Ahead

    Once you've learned more about us through our webpages,  Introduce yourself to us, and your desires for a beagle. You don't have to wait until the last minute and rush when you see a cutie ; if you know you want a Sunshine Acres Beagle whenever everything works out & you're smitten, you could choose to already be approved by our family to claim one of our babies when the time comes!

 Seek approval ahead of time, so you can avoid simply being one of the many fans across the nation who just noticed a cute puppy has become available, pushing for our attention in order to place a deposit on that puppy before others are approved, taking the chance that the puppy goes home with another approved family who also fell in love and beat you to the punch.  Instead, go ahead email about yourself & place a deposit beforehand, so that your household is pre-approved by our family for adoption!

    The general public isn't pre-qualified to adopt one of our cuties yet, but if you've already convinced us that we would like to allow your family to raise one of our babies, (thanks to your fun emails!),   then you can hold your spot on the waiting list, watch & preapre for your baby and receive priority turns in our puppy claiming process!

Having multiple preferences is great!

There are many people on the waiting list who have a list of colors that they would be happy with in the order of preference . There are others who would be glad to have a male or female, whichever becomes available to them sooner. If we know that you would be happy with more than one option (like taking a mini or a standard), then at your turn for that particular puppy-category, we can offer a puppy who matches those additional options to you to consider. 

• Example: If you are in line and have only told us that you want a tri color mini female, then you would be waiting for only a tricolor mini female. (the wait for a mini is longer than for a standard; our standard size sunshine beagles do not typically get to be big beagles anyway, so getting in line for a standard is a good idea for most people!) We would likely not contact you if you became first in line for a male,  because we do not know that you would also consider a male. If you would like for us to consider you when puppies with other characteristics come along though, then tell us you would also be interested in males, or would also be interested in Standard sizes.
• If timeframe is what is more important to you, then having more options will certainly help in getting a puppy sooner/at the right timing.    If we do not know that you would be interested in those characteristics, then we may move on to the next person in line who has told us they are. Let us know what is most important to you, whether it be color, gender, size, coat, or timeframe! If you know exactly what you want though & are willing to be patient, that's okay too! 
• Being on the Waiting list holds your spot, so that you can have your own personal turn where we offer you puppies that match that desire of yours, and you have the option to choose to claim your new puppy or may pass and wait, before the pup is offered to any others who come to us wanting the same type of puppy as you. 
  There may already be a couple in line for your preferences, and what they decide to do can vary, depending on the timing that works best for them, and their personal preference decisions. Once it is your turn we will contact you to let you know, and at that point you may claim a puppy available to you, or may pass and wait for any reason.

As you can see, female tri mini preferences start accumulating at the top of the waiting list, as this is a common preference that is not born quite as often, and may take patience. If you want a mini, the line can be shorter for rare chocolate/non-tri minis, or for male minis though. Male rarecolor standard sizes, currently have the shortest line & would be quickest/easiest to bring home, but this can change once people read this (as it did when I previously stated tri males would be quickest!), so always include all the preferences that you would be happy with! 
(Note: at the time of making this example waiting list, it reflected the demand for certain preferences at that time. The demand changes from time to time, so the examples above are just that- example, the waiting list may look entirely different at the time that you join.)

Getting a standard size is usually best if you would like one soon, as we have standard size litters more often.

So, if you place a deposit now, even though you may be "15th" in line by the order in which we received your deposit, there may not be anyone in line for exactly what you want. Occasionally people add options onto their waiting list details, like "I would also consider a male" this does help move things along when we have a puppy that matches their added options. Getting in line ensures that you would be ahead of anyone who wants your preferences who decides to join the waiting list after you. Because we specialize in so many different color & size etc options, our waiting list is complex. Your preferences may be unique, for example, say you wanted a standard male orange&white puppy, there may be no one ahead of you who has specified this particular combination, therefore it is possible that the very next litter born could have two orange boys for you to choose from right away! Like a puzzle, everything just falls into place, and brings an experience like no other. We have had many customers tell us that this whole process was so intriguing & memorable; Watching the website, waiting and anticipating their perfect little sunshine acres beagle, getting the email that it is their turn, and watching their newborn baby beagle grow into the puppy they take home to join their family!

We feel like a surrogate mom, raising the little one and then allowing you to claim the role of their new forever mom/dad. We put much thought into matching up just the right puppy with the right new family, so that its a wonderful experience and one you'll never forget!

Joining the Waiting List:

$100 down payment. (This counts towards the price of your puppy)

We gladly accept deposits to hold your place in the waiting line by order in which deposits are received, for a future puppy/ preferences/ timeframe.

Once a deposit is placed you will be given preference over any other customers expressing a desire for the same type of puppy that contacts us after your deposit was received. We ask that you understand the mini-size puppies are very hard to come by and warn that there can be a wait until one is available. Also we consider accepting a deposit as an agreement to provide you with a puppy at a future date, locked into the prices at the time of receiving the deposits. Expected litters cannot be guaranteed due to the fact that breeding can  be a very difficult undertaking. There are c-sections and sometimes litters of all one gender, wrong colors, newborns can die :( and so on.  We do our absolute best to insure a safe and healthy litter is born, we feed moms cooked meats and cheeses, goats milk and fresh brown eggs to help them carry good strong litters, but even with all our efforts there cant be any guarantee on timing.  What we do guarantee is that we will give you the next available puppy in the color and gender you choose whenever that occurs. (You can choose to claim that puppy, or pass and wait for another one.) That is our part of the deposit agreement, we agree to sell you a puppy, by the same token it must be understood that if you have a change of heart and do not follow through for some reason the deposit is not refundable as it represents an agreement to purchase a puppy from us. When asking to get on the list many people want to know just how many are ahead of them in the line... by placing down a deposit you are taking a certain position in the line, therefore the deposit would be forfeited should you back out. ( This also applies if you have held a certain puppy & then back out. ) I need to protect myself from people who decide their work schedule doesn't permit a pup or whatever... after months of emails and calls etc taking up my time if  they back out and want the deposit back...it keeps me from selling the pup to someone else. so it should also protect me from them changing their mind ...

If you are on the waiting list, simply check the website for updates. If you are next in line for a puppy with certain characteristics, and a pup matching those preferences was born, we will contact you to let you know & to ask if you would like to claim or pass on that puppy that is available to you. If we haven't been able to contact anyone yet, but have announced the litter, you can certainly email us to let us know that you saw the newbies and let us know if a puppy catches your eye but happens to have different charactersitics than you had originally told us you want, you can let us know so that we know you are open to that type of puppy too.
 

Once a litter is born, and if there is more than one puppy matching your preferences, we ask that you please be considerate of the families behind you in line, and make a decision on which pup you'd like to claim. The purpose of a deposit is not to hold a whole litter ( or however many pups match your desires) but to hold a certain puppy once it is born. Until your decision is made, it is hard to tell everyone else that they can not make a decision yet because we are not sure who is available. Because of this, we ask you to please choose your puppy as soon as you can, or let us know if you decide to wait for another time-frame. (You can of course let us know if you'd like to allow others behind you in line to choose theirs if you for some reason can not, with the promise that at least one of the babies matching your preference will be held for you. ha- we don't necessarily expect you to do this however!) Just please, decide as soon as possible, so that everyone else can make their choice on who will be their new family member.

When contacting us to get on the waiting list, it really helps if you let us know your preferences, in order of what is most important to you. For some people, it may be that timeframe is the most important, and then color. Or, perhaps size is your ultimate preferences, then color, gender, and even certain markings. It is okay if you are unsure about your preferences, of course the less criteria you are looking for, the easier & sooner we can help match you up with your baby beagle! But please let us know what you were hoping for.

deposits count towards the purchase price of the puppy, and  are non-refundable.

Placing the deposit:

If you make an appointment to come out and meet us you can certainly place a deposit in person! We gladly accept cash, local personal checks, cashier's check, Money orders, ( Please if you are picking up a puppy and are coming from out of state we appreciate cash, or money orders)

 One family asked if they could use one of the credit card company checks that were mailed to them in their statement... she said it would count toward Disney points she was building up .. that was fine with us !!

 If you want to send a deposit quickly to make sure no one else jumps in front of you, Deposits can also be placed by mailing a check, or using paypal (Unlike some puppy websites, we do not provide a payment link on our website. You must email us, and please tell us about your family before placing a deposit. We would not simply agree to sell one of our puppies to anyone who randomly sends a deposit; we will give you the details on placing a deposit by email.)

You can also choose to use your Pay Pal online acount to quickly send in a deposit

• It's free to use the paypal service if your paypal funds come from a Bank Account that does not have an associated visa atm.
  and we have a separate email address that must be used for these.
   

• If your paypal account is linked to a Credit Line ( Visa, ATM, or master cards ect. ) then paypal deducts a small fee for their service of approximately $5 per $100.  The $5 must be added in for us to get the full $100 deposit.
   

  Please wait to send your deposit until we've gotten a chance to know what your looking for and in what timeframe. We have ultimate say over who we allow to adopt our hand raised housepet puppies so please tell us about yourself prior to asking to join the line. We do not have to sell a puppy to anyone that we are not comfortable with getting one of our babies. Our puppies are for good pet homes only. They are like our kids so we want to know who is interested in adopting , sometimes there are many people asking for a certain puppy... it helps to know as much about each family as is pertinant to their happiness,  so we can match our baby with the best home for life !
