INVISIBLE FENCING

We are often asked over the years if beagles would be ok in an Invisible Fenced yard..
so I decided to try it so that I can personally recommend the system.

As you drive up our long driveway to the house when you come visit, you will see we have two big areas on either side of the drive where we have dogs retained by the Invisible Fence .
On your left we have tri colored standard looking Beagles, and on the right side of the drive we have
Rare colored beagles.  We have left the flags up so our customers can see where the areas begin.

PLEASE WALK WELL WITHIN THE AREA SO THEY CAN COME OVER IF YOU WISH TO PET THEM.

(THE FIELD IS ABOUT 5 FOOT INSIDE THE FLAGS.)

and funny as it sounds we often are asked " can I get shocked if I go in there?"

I just say, "no as long as you don't put her collar on, and go too close to the flags !"

We chose to have the system installed professionally and the dogs trained by their Trainer.

I highly recommend Tony above who is a consultant for them, and also runs  Carolina Canine College

doing basic Obedience , and in home training for dogs and Puppies.

his number is (704) 449-DOGS  (3647) and please tell him Sunshine Acres Beagles sent you when  you call !

here Tony is showing  Baby One the boundaries of her new area.

(Smooches and Pumpkin) in their invisible fenced area.

Jane Gurley from Hendersonville NC, mom of 'Maggie': "She knows exactly where the perimeter is (we left up the training flags for about 1 month) and has never gotten out.  I think that she would stay in the yard, now, even if the fence weren’t there, but I don’t want to ever risk that. We have a large yard and she has lots of running room. I would recommend Invisible Fence to anyone."

Tic Removal
Please forward to anyone with children .  pets ,  grass, or trees in the yard or where you exercise, hunters, picnicers...hikers etc!! thanks!

A School Nurse has written the info below -- good enough to share --And
it really works!!

I had a pediatrician tell me what she believes is the best way to remove a tick. This is great, because it works in those places where it's sometimes difficult to get to with tweezers: between toes, in the middle of
a head full of dark hair, etc.

Apply a glob of liquid soap to a cotton ball. Cover the tick with the soap-soaked cotton ball and let it stay on the repulsive insect for a few seconds (15-20), after which the tick will come out on it's own and be stuck
to the cotton ball when you lift it away This technique has worked every time I've used it (and that was frequently), and it's much less traumatic for the patient and easier for me.

Unless someone is allergic to soap, I can't see that this would be damaging in any way. I even had my doctor's wife call me for advice because she had one stuck to her back and she couldn't reach it with tweezers. She used this method and immediately called me back to say, "It worked!"

Please pass on; everyone needs this helpful hint.
