All the Babies in these litters have found their forever families! Scroll down to Browse through all the adorable faces, and their stories.

Someone once told me its like reading a soap opera every day...
I just cant wait to tune in !!
She said I love seeing who is available and when they get adopted just how perfectly they match the new family who convinced you all they would treat them the best... she said I know you have so many people wanting them, you have to try to determine who will spoil them, but give them discipline at the same time  so they turn out to be the perfect indoor housepet ! - so true !!

If you are the happy family of one of these cuties, remember that we love to receive updates and/or pictures whenever you can pass those along! We enjoy seeing how our puppies are fitting in & growing up in their forever homes!

Preparing for the New Puppy! Hint: If you are saving up newspapers for when you bring your new puppy home, toss out all the slick ones they are not absorbent and pups slip and slide in the tub  vs. the white pages which work real well during the still goin on paper phase, right after bringing the puppy home..

Over the next few weeks they can begin going outdoors too, then it  wont be long till they are used to your home & being crated at night ( we advise you how to go about this when you pick up your puppy & you can also learn about this process by following our Tips pages!) , but at first it is great to have a few stacks of papers on hand !  ( we also love it when folks think to bring some to us.. we are always appreciative of those ! You can only imagine how much paper we go through each day as our little ones learn to go over on the paper.)

One gal brought a box with some wee wee pads when she came to board her Sunshine beagle with us .. boy did we appreciate those to hand to each person who was driving home far away with a little pup in the car..(makes it easier to have those on the floorboard than having to pit stop the minute the puppy wines to get out to go..) LOL !  we ran out, but sure would love more if anyone has some left their pet no longer uses !

When picking up your puppy by car its suggested to bring a cardboard box with papers in it or wee wee pads for the floorboards work well when and if needed .  Also we often hand out a Clorox wipes bottle those are handy if needed too !! Some folks start out with their new puppy on their lap , or in a crate with plenty of toys and chew toys or treats to play with .

We also advise folks to go directly to the spot in their yard where they want the puppy to "Go Hurry UP" , and put it from the car on the grass or ground there.. let it sniff around and just stay out of its reach as you walk around...    soon enough it will decide to go since it was cooped up in the car and likely hasn't yet..  and you make a big deal out of saying good hurry up in a praise voice !! and give it kisses ! before long it will be thinking "they must like it when i go here... I want to go back to the same spot and remark it again ... and get all that praise again" .. we give plenty of tips on this and all the phases involved in taking home a new puppy from us so it is a wonderful and easy transition for all members of the family bringing in one of our babies to your home. Be sure to follow our advice/guidelines, and follow-up on any of the pointers for having one of our intelligent little sunshine acres beagles join your family as a companion for the next 15 years!

"Bailey" Tricolor Runt Girl with a Blaze and cool markings on her back

She has been claimed by the Rozeboom Family from TX!!

Dear Sunshine Family,

YES,YES, YES!!! We would love to claim Maisy's Tricolor Runt Female with the blaze and cool back markings!!!! We saw our name on the It's Your Turn Board five minutes before heading out the door to our daughter's band concert and our son's baseball game. We jumped around and celebrated and then both kids got to tell all their friends tonight. My parents were there too, so we told them about their new "grand dog". She's perfect and we would like to call her Bailey. The timing couldn't be more right for us. We will have all summer to have extra time with her! Thank you sooooo much!!!

Love,

A Very Excited Rozeboom Family!

"Ollie" Chocolate Male with a Blaze

He is claimed by the Michael and Michele Vana!

Dear Miss Christina - Happy Mother's Day! I hope you are enjoying the day with your family
Thanks so much for the additional information on taking care of a puppy that you sent. We appreciate it!
We were so happy to see that Maisy had her litter, including a chocolate standard male, which is what we have been hoping to adopt! We imagine that the waiting list is probably very long, but wanted to check to see if anyone is waiting for a chocolate standard male as we'd like to adopt Maisy's chocolate male. Is there a long list?
I'm not sure if you're one who believes in signs, but we were just at the dog park in our area looking at the dogs and met a beagle named Ollie there, which is just what we were going to name a male chocolate beagle once we adopt him! One of my sister's had a dog named Maisy, so we're hoping that these are signs that our chocolate beagle puppy is coming soon!
Hope you are all well and looking forward to hearing from you!
Best wishes,
Michele Vana

Hi Miss Christina,

YAAAAAY!!! We are so thrilled to bring Ollie into our home and can't wait to meet him and you! We promise we will take good care of him and love him very much. We already do!

"Mango" Orange Runt Girl with a blaze and open markings

She is claimed by Bill and Zandra, and their family in the Florida Keys!!

They had joined for an Orange, Runt, Female and got just the baby they were hoping for!

Hello,

Thanks for the exciting response!!!  We'll take Maisy's orange runt girl for sure. If the Khaki runt is available we'll give her a second look. Please let us know what the next steps are and when would be a good time to send toys, bedding etc. Now we're off for our daughters choir performance. We're so excited!!!

Bill & Zandra

Please make it official, Zandra & I will take Maisy's Orange Runt Girl. Zandra will be putting together some things for the pup. I also would like to know what size shirts you all wear. We can't come up there without getting y'all an official Florida Keys Shirt from our local town shop. You know Southern Hospitality can't be beat and were really Southern!

We'll be keeping in touch........Bill

"Kiah" Orange Standard Female   ( claimed now)

She has been claimed by Stephanie!

" Sunshine gang-

Oh yay!!!
I can't even tell you how excited I am!
I'm not completely sure about whether I will be driving down to get her or if I will have her fly home. It's quite a bit of a drive, but a couple of my friends offered to make it with me. That timeframe works well for me also I'm pretty flexible now that I'm done with school.
I would LOVE to make it official that I am claiming Masiy's Orange girl :)
I think will be naming her Kiah, which means "little wise one".
Thank you again for doing all that you do!

Just let me know what my next step is going to be :D

Thanks!

Steph "

Puppy Pictures from Maisy's previous litters

Well it's been many weeks. Our life has been busy and I am jsut now getting some pics to you. We have LOVED Chloe. She is a GREAT dog. The kids have done very good with her and have learned their various responsibilities to feed her, take her out and how to play with her properly.

Chloe is learning to "come", "sit" and lots of playing. She is terrific.

Here are some pictures for you to enjoy and share.

God bless and Merry Christmas!

awe they love their orange Indy so much, they even want dibs on his sweet momma Maisy!! how cute is that?

"Indy is doing just great.  He is the best dog ever and such a lover and snuggler.  He loves the kids and loves to give kisses.  We could not have asked for a better dog.
Anyhow, the reason for my message, I noticed that you sometimes adopt out your mommies after you retire them.  Do you take a wait list for these?  We'd love to have Masiy (Indiana's) mom if/when she ever comes open.  We'd love a female and love the idea that she is his mommy."

We told them Certainly that Maisy can join their home when she retires in the future! We said we though this was a great idea. and we'd certainly be happy to start a waiting list for folks interested in adopting moms when they are ready to retire.

Here are a couple more pics.  One of Indy and my youngest.  They are buddies.  And another of him lounging on his fav spot on the couch.

Hi Christina! We wanted to send you some updated photos of Daisy.

  August 16th 2009 Update:

"Hello All,
I thought it would be nice to update you on our little Cole who turns one today! I can't believe its been a year already since we first contacted you about him!

Cole has been an amazing addition to this beagle-loving household. He has grown to be so handsome, he gets fawned over everywhere we go! He is also quite the mush, we get lots of kisses and cuddles from this little guy.Cole is super smart and is a quick learner. He enjoys our daily walks and trips to the dog park.He is quite entertaining and gets along so well with Roscoe, our first beagle who is now 2, and Gino our 6 year old basset-beagle mix that we rescued back in March of this year.
I have attached some pictures of Cole for you to see!
Thank you so much!

 " Christina and Kids,
Just a note to say Hello and let you know that TJ is doing just great! We took him camping with us over the weekend and he loved it, he curled up in his crate and slept like a baby! We hope he does as well on the 10 day trip to New Hampshire in 2 weeks!
TJ has the most beautiful coat; he hardly sheds and is so soft and shiny. He is nearly house trained, we had to improvise the first night home b/c he was able to climb out of the tub by placing his rear legs on an inner ledge! David brought a wood box in from the garage and that has been his bed-it is very similar to his bed at your place-only with higher walls-and there is room for his bed on one end and paper on the other. It works great, but I anticipate he will be crate trained after New Hampshire.
We were thrilled to see that Zorro found a home, and Kirby is so sweet!
This computer will not attach my pictures, but a new laptop is on the way and then I will send updated T.J. pics.
Enjoy your summer!
Thanks for our puppy-Ben's "best buddy!"

the mommies hangin out on the deck, &  off leash staying in our yard before our acreage was fenced, wait for their cut of the dinner we cookout.

"Now I know that toy was in here yesterday..."

"What? Oh..I know, I know- I'm just a big puppy!"

"Daisy " Naps on the backyard Deck , and plays with toys in the house.. she is a sweetheart who is a standard size beagle with Tri colored fur.

More playful than most females she is always up for a game or playing with something !

Hey Mom I found a choo hoo hoove in the toys basket can I have it?? pweeeseee !!

" Daisy " doggie is one of  our Sunshine Acres Beagle gang that amazes folks who have had a beagle from other lines in the past. she loves to lay on the front porch or on the driveway to our home... they just cant believe a beagle that doesnt hunt and leave to head to the woods to find rabbits to chase !  We allow several of our beagles to be loose at a time even though we are surrounded by woods and pastures they dont wander away... we are breeding for homebodies who want to be home with you. this is what our customers are hoping to find in a pet beagle !

she is a well rounded family pet and whether hangin out on the deck waiting for a bite from a cookout with the family ;

or watchin a good movie with the kids,  her pups are fun,  just like her !

Ok , I did my part , time for a little break and some chew toys !

""Daisy" hangs out on the deck with "Shug", and " expectant mom "Silvia"

"Eli"
Tricolor Male with a big Blaze and white open markings

He has been claim by the Hill family!

"I can hardly believe it.  As crazy as it sounds I have actually been praying for this little guy to be able to come home with us.  Just Amazing!  We decided we want to name him Eli, It's Hebrew meaning high or ascended.  Again, we are ecstatic.  Thank you, thank you, thank you,
The Hill Family"

"Phineas"

Tricolor Boy with a dash of white on forehead- will likely be Solid head

He is claimed by Nicci Brown and her family who lives right here in Monroe NC!
She and her hubby both work at Wingate University

They had done their research and decided a beagle would be the perfect family companion pet for them to add to their lives

When we decided to get a dog (about a year ago), we did a lot of research both online and through dog books.  One dog that has come up as ideal for us time and again is the Beagle.  This brings me to your site. We would just love to adopt one of your Beagle puppies.

Like many folks, they hoped to rescue a deserving beagle, and adopted a beagle mix into their household. . We admire folks who try to adopt rescued animals, and we know it does often work out with patience and experience.

She told us about some incidents that they were faced with however, and due to his ultimate size being much larger than they had hoped for & his already acquired temperament, they were unable to keep him (at 65 lbs a dog would need to be very obediant and submissive so that young children were safe. Starting from young puppy hood, one can influence their puppy's future behaviors & habits, but it is more challenging to re-program an older, bigger, mixed breed dog for a family with young children to be able to handle. )

We've noticed traits of aggression in him (at 65 pounds, he can be a real handful), and obedience training has been helpful but has not completely fixed his dominance and bullying.

After their bad experience with a rescue beagle mix, they found us and like many others who come to us after trying to integrate a dog who was not bred & raised for their pet-lifestyle, including size and compatability, they decided to add one of our hand raised family oriented beagle puppies to their family to love and raise as their own!

"Hello Miss C,

Thank you for all the wonderful information you have on your website.  I feel very comfortable inquiring about a Beagle puppy from you - I've read to be careful about breeders but the information you provide lets me know that you are not running a "puppy mill." Partly for fear of buying from a puppy mill, my family and I decided to get a rescue dog from an online source this summer..."

Our 20 years of experience breeding and raising strictly for companion beagles is made available through our massive website, so that folks are able to comfortably peruse our many wonderful expereinces helping families lovingly adopt one of our babies into their their happy family. We are a Family, a mom and her kids, and our hand raised puppies are our number one priority, and choosing the appropriate loving homes they go into is very important to us, just as adopting from the right family is important to you. This is why our website is so huge- so that potential adoptees can learn all about our family and our mission through our many pages & feel comfotable in moving forward with our help matching up one of our little ones, and likewise we like to know everything we can about potential adoptive homes!

"Wrigley"
T
ricolor Male with a narrow blaze ( has been claimed)

These Newly weds had emailed in January while in the process of purchasing their first home together, asking about joining the waiting list for their firstborn baby beagle!  They had asked for a tricolor standard baby to arrive for them and they would be ready starting May! This is one readon why we have a waiting list- so that we can get to know folks ahead of time and they can become prepared to responsibly bring home their new family member!

Leah had done as we ask and gently  reminded us of their desire to adopt a Sunshine Beagle puppy from us!

"I have included our previous email below (in case you didn’t get it) and also attached a picture of Jonny and I! I am always taking pictures and sharing them online, so we would definitely keep you up to date with our growing puppy if we are lucky enough to be chosen as suitable parents for one of your little babies! We would also like information about placing a deposit using Paypal if we are pre-approved for your waiting list. We may be trying to get on the waiting list a bit early, but we just don’t want to miss an opportunity to raise one of your puppies since our timeframe is important to us (see our previous email below for timeframe explanation).

Thank you once again for your time. We really appreciate all that you are doing to love and care for these adorable puppies!

Sincerely,

Leah Morehouse

Initial email:

Dear Miss Christina,

We are Jonny and Leah Morehouse, and we are interested in purchasing a beagle puppy! We recently got married (June 2009) and are currently in the process of buying a house in our hometown of Muskegon, Michigan. Waiting until we got a house before purchasing our puppy was very important to us because we didn’t think it would be fair to the puppy to be stuck in a small apartment with no fenced in yard. The house that we are buying is in a nice neighborhood with sidewalks (perfect for walks with the puppy) and has a good size, fenced in backyard.

We are very impressed by your extensive website. It offers many helpful tips for raising a puppy. We have always loved beagles, but wanted one to be an addition to our family rather than for hunting purposes. It seems like most other breeders breed beagles for their hunting abilities, and that is very discouraging to us. The idea of having a beagle that is a loving companion and a house pet is exactly what we have been looking for. We would love a beagle that can be a part of our family and would be a loving friend to our future children. We would treat our beagle puppy as our first child! We can already picture our puppy joining us on trips to the park, baseball field (Jonny is a baseball coach), and the beach (we live along the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan, and there is a dog beach nearby!)

Our puppy would sleep in a crate or bed, most likely in our bedroom. Having a puppy will probably be great practice for having children!

Honestly, the thing that we are most concerned about is the distance our puppy would have to travel to get to us! We considered coming to pick up our puppy in person, however, we decided that it would probably be best if our puppy were shipped via air.

We are looking for a tri-colored puppy, preferably with a blaze, either male or female. If possible, we would like a standard size beagle of a petite/slim build. We would like a puppy that is playful, but also likes to cuddle…basically just a sweet little puppy! As far as timeframe, we really need to wait until May 2010 at the earliest. This will give us time to get settled into our new house and make the house puppy-friendly. We also want to be able to devote our attention to raising our puppy rather than moving. Our ideal timeframe is May-July 2010. Jonny is a physical education teacher, so he has his summers off! Getting a puppy in this timeframe would allow Jonny to be home with our puppy and give it the attention that it deserves. Leah is a dental hygienist and works in a dental office close to our house, so she can also go home and visit our little puppy on her lunch break!

Thank you for your time. We look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,
Jonny and Leah Morehouse

We really appreciated hearing all about how one of our babies would fit in for many years of happy enjoyment!

( claimed now)

 "Hello again Sunshine Gang!
We see that we are next in line to claim a tricolor boy after Melissa chooses one of Ruth's puppies. We would like to claim Daisy's tricolor male with a narrow blaze! (the one with a lot of white on his right shoulder) He looks like everything that we have imagined! We will be naming him "Wrigley" after our favorite baseball stadium: Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs. While browsing your site last night, we noticed that he looks a lot like Daisy's previous puppy "Gracie" as a newborn! We are really excited to welcome Wrigley into our home! Please let us know what the next steps are to make arrangements for Wrigley's homecoming/flight home. Also, we are getting a package ready to send down to you soon, so we need an address to send it to.
Thanks so much for keeping us up through your site! We look forward to watching our puppy grow up the next few weeks while he is in your care!

~Jonny and Leah Morehouse "

"Brady"

Tricolor Male with a very narrow blaze- will likely be a solid head  (claimed now)

spoken for by John Lynn

Yes that sounds perfect - and just like his littermate, he already has a name, "Brady."  I want to thank you so much as I have really enjoyed this process of getting a puppy from you.  I look forward to seeing him very soon and am very excited to finally get him in the weeks ahead!  Thank you so much again!

Sincerely,
John

this cute thing will be going to a single fellow who came out to visit us knowing he would be relocating to Charlotte and wanted to get on the waiting list for a tri boy during this timeframe to be his new best friend .. his friends joked he wasnt allowed to have a dog growing up with his "evil parents " LOL  !! we thought that was too cute ...

I know thought miss c. my mom the interior designer wouldnt let my Hunting bred stinky beagle hound an uncle had given me in the house either , hey maybe thats why I developed a line of beagles for indoor mainly homes ... ya think? lol.

with less shedding fur and smell ....

could be.  these guys do have really specially pretty coats we have noticed a sheen to them !

Thanks again for everything and for giving us such a gift.

Hi Christina,

Just wanted to give you a quick little update on little Bowie, he's doing fantastic!  He seems to be adjusting very well with us, and frankly, we cannot believe how good of a puppy he is.  Other than being a little nippy (which is expected), he hardly ever barks or cries, he's super affectionate, and he's taking to housebreaking already!!  We got this thing called the Porch Potty, which is a self-draining grass tray, and I highly recommend it to any future owner who doesn't have easy access to a yard.  Bowie already knows that's his place to "hurry up", and amazingly, he's able to hold it at night for about 6 hours already (which I did not think was possible for his age).  He's done extremely well around other people, even with the few dogs he's met in our building (a 40lb chocolate labrador named Frank was more afraid of Bowie than vice versa).

He's been coming to work with me, where he's usually sitting on my lap as I edit this pilot tv show.  And yesterday he had his first visit to the vet, which went perfectly.  Everyone there (and elsewhere really) just immediately fell in love with him.  Thank you so much for taking such good care in raising our little boy, and we hope to stay in touch in the future.

Thanks,

Ed & Sara

newborn orange Luci "Luci Lu" ready to go home!

X-mas updates from jazzi, and from Luci Lu!

( ps. we love it when folks do this... save up Iams and Eukanuba UPC'c off all their pups food and treats and send them at Christmas Time with a photo/ update and card we can show others who come out to visit us as a referral )

Hi Miss Christina and family,
We just wanted to send you an update on little Winchester . He is doing beautifully and adjusting to life with the Kiernan family just great! We love him so much and having him join our family at this time was such a blessing. The kids are out of school and able to be with him more than during the school year. We all just adore him.
We went on our annual camping trip over Memorial Day and discovered Winchester is quite the camper. Every morning Winchester and I (Noelle) would go on a long walk around the state park to let the others sleep a little longer and when we would get a little distance from our camper Winchester would get so excited and start running and pulling me along to get to the camper. I don’t know how he could tell our
camper out of all those campers but he really could spot it a ways out!
When we are playing with him he gets excited sometimes and tries to bite at us like you have warned us about. We are all working with him on this and firmly telling him NO and spanking when needed. He is getting it- he just gets excited and has to be reminded. We will stay on him about this, we must; his teeth are sharp, its terrible manners, and we never want him to think he’s top dog.
I can’t thank you enough for all the helpful tips. All the information made this adjustment so much smoother.
Winchester is such a little sweetie. He loves to snuggle and cuddle and we really adore him!
We will send a photo soon but I wanted to get you an update anyway. (I have a new camera and Mike has to show me how to download the pics.)
Take care, Noelle Kiernan and Family and Winchester !

(They even drove up from Georgia to NC. to leave him with us while they vacationed in Charleston SC. last summer so they could be sure he too would have a good little vacation with some other Sunshine Beagles ..Chilli by Electra who was the same age happened to be visiting up too while he was here and the boys really had a blast playing in our huge fenced acreage back yard and  inside our home .)

Boarding boys Chilli, Winchester, and Mocha hang out in our back yard & on the deck!

Denver, now being just 2 days shy of 9 months, has been the most amazing pup EVER! we love him to pieces, he keeps us entertained every single second, people can not stop complimenting us on how beautiful he is! His coat is growing in gorgeous and those adorible eyes of his gets everyone. Belle's Claimed Litter

Now ready to come home!

  • Silver Mini Male (claimed)

  • Silver Mini Female (reserved)

  • Tricolor Mini Female (reserved)

as most of our followers already know we do this because we love beagles so much , and we saw that most breeders were specializing in either hunting lines or showdogs, not many were working to improve their bloodlines to be better :"Pet Beagles" ,

so we often like to add to our constantly improving lines of beagles known as " sunshine beagles", by keeping our favorite dogs pups so as to increase the genetic tendancies of our pups to follow those positive traits we see as making a better housepet happy dog , one who is friendly and eager to please , such as our sweet Belle produces in her puppies !  These are Christi's pets she adores the previous litters Belle has had and is reserving her 2 girls at this time to consider keeping . thanks for understanding ... its why we do it , we love beagles and work to make the Sunshine Beagle Puppy line the  best all around Indoor Companion Pets we possibly can for all to enjoy who decide they want to add one of our baby beagles to their family and patiently and politely possitively prod us to let one go ! LOL >>>  obviously as evidenced by all the repeat customers we have come to us , they are well worth it !

Punkin's Litter have all been claimed!

They are already going home! We can plan to meet with some folks Friday, the 14th!

Introducing Punkin

Punkin is an Orange Longer legged Standard mom Punkin has a slim build & a more athletic personality,
perfect for active homes & jogging/hiking companions

Punkin is Invisible Fenced trained, she learned the system in only 3 days! The trainer told us that most beagles from other bloodlines take longer, since they are more easily distracted by the thought of chasing rabbits and squirrels which can be right outside their pen. He said not only the dogs he trained for us here, but other sunshine acres beagles in the Charlotte Metro area he had trained for their owners  had proven to also be excellent learners ,and adapt to their system more readily and contently.
(So if you've been told beagles are hard headed and difficult to train, just ask Invisible fence, ours are different than  most!)

 a pregnant punkin!

Punkin hops in with her kids who were enjoying a nice afternoon outside

One family who was getting one of punkin's babies sent along goodies for the puppies and  momma punkin to enjoy!!

"Diamond" dark Orange Girl with a blaze

She has been claimed by Bill & his kids from Wilmington NC! They had originally joined in March for a Chocolate or Tricolor during the April/May timeframe, but fell in love with this girly to call their own!

" Miss C and kids :
Not sure where we are on the waiting list - we know it should be soon.... - just wanted you to know that we viewed Punkin's litter and fell in love with her Dark Orange Female !  Beautiful dark orange/chocolate color ! .... and the blaze will thrill the kids as well. "

" YES !!!  We would love to claim her !! Please do make it official !! We are so looking forward to seeing picture updates and watching her grow !!  Now we need to start getting everything perfectly ready for our new family member !... We'll also work on a name and let you know !!   THANK YOU  SO MUCH !!!!   .............  Bill and kids  !!!"

The Joynes sent their care package for their lil girly and her family!

"Audrey" Lemon Girl with a blaze and open markings

She is claimed by Emily! She had joined the waiting list in October, originally for a tricolor female during the May timeframe, but said this little girl melted her heart!

We are always happy for the preapproved people to switch and claim a different color, gender, size, whatever they decide is fine with us! We know how darn adorable they all are! lol and sometimes one just tugs at your heart strings and that's the way we want it all to play out.

Subject: I WOULD LIKE PUNKINS LEMON GIRL!!!!

Hey Christi and the rest of the sunshine gang!

Its Emily Wentley!  I was originally in line for a longer-legged standard tri girl in May, but after seeing Ruth was the only mommy who had a tri girl and she isn't the size i really wanted, i was looking in to considering another color.  I was just curious about the wait for Punkin's lemon girl.  She's really adorable and made my heart simply melt when i saw her.  I would love to have her as a new addition to my family.

I wasn't quite sure how far on the waiting list i was so i just wanted to share my thoughts on what i wanted.  I'm willing to consider different options. If the lemon girl wouldn't be available for when it is my turn to adopt could you give me an idea of the timeframe I might be looking at if I wanted to wait for a longer-legged tri-colored standard?" or could you give me an idea of what my options are if I want to bring home a longer-legged female puppy in May?"

I hope you are enjoying all the cuties that are around now.  They are just adorable and i'm amazed you can bear to part with all that cuteness!!

can't wait to hear back from you!

Emily Wentley

Thanks so much to Emily for sending along her care package for little Audrey!

Hey Christi and sunshine gang!

We love, love, love our
little princess! She went on a baby walk the other day and was so cute. We even ran a little bit. She will be excellent as a running partner for me :) She is also catching on very nicely to our life here. During the day we take naps together on my bed and she even slept in my arms today when we napped :)

She really is a beauty and just so adorable I can't help but give her kisses. She gives me tons of kisses too!

Really appreciate all that you did with raising her and helping me find the perfect baby!

Emily Wentley

Ps -there are some pics attached that I thought I would share! Enjoy! The blue toy she's playing with in one picture is a diet poopsie! (She watches her figure lol)

Pictures from Punkin's Previous Puppies

 "Hi Guys,
We made it back home to Florida safe and sound! Ziva was such a good girl on the long drive. She told us when she had to go hurry up and she even pooped for us! She is such a sweetheart and she gives the best kisses.
Thank you sooooo much for everything!!! We are already so in love with her. One cat has already cozied up to her but the other is a little standoff-ish. I'm sure he'll fall for her soon too.
We forgot to ask: what time do you usually feed them? Do you feed them twice a day? We fed her around 5:30 and she gobbled it all up! And oh boy does she love puppy biscuits! We gave her one and she was begging for more.
Right now she is passed out in her bed and she doesn't seem to mind the cats circling her or the noise from the football game on TV.
Thank you again so much!!!
Nina, Donald, Egon, Demian and Ziva Mason"

Hi Guys!
Today we have had Ziva for one month so we just wanted to send an update and a few pictures from the past month.
We absolutely love Ziva! She is so cute and everyone wants to steal her from us so we just refer everyone to your website so they can have their own precious beagle. When she went to the vet to get her 2nd puppy booster she was of course the center of attention. Everyone wanted to hold her because she is just too cute.
She is a great snuggler and she loves the couch. We think she thinks she's a cat though because she likes to sleep up high. She loves her toys, her crate and the cats. Egon and Ziva are best friends (most of the pictures have him in them too because they are inseperable when she sleeps). Demian (the black and white cat) has finally gotten used to having her around but he still keeps his distance.
I am home with her all day so when Donald comes home she gets so excited and wags her little tail and runs up to him at the front door. She is such a daddy's girl! Donald has even taught her how to sit. It's so cute.
She is full of energy and loves to play. We can't believe how big she is getting though! We are greatly looking forward to the future and to see what else Ziva has in store for us.
Thanks again so much for our little bundle of joy!
Nina and Donald Mason

They taught him to stay on his play mat- how adorable!

"Also this is really cool. We have a bunch of these fleece blankets. I've had one on the wood floor since the first night. Mostly so he wouldn't slide so much on the wood floor After a week now if I put him down on the blanket with his toys he'll play just fine but if he steps off the blanket while playing he'll head right back onto it. He knows it's his area. He's also starting to understand my double clap means he's doing something he shouldn't. So if he steps off and I clap he'll head back, most of the time at least. Sometimes he's just determined to see what else is out there. I read something about this in Cesar Millan's new book on puppies. About creating invisible boundaries and how they can understand, respect, and need to have them. Guess that's what's going on. I've included a picture below of him on the blanket. "

"Hi Christina,

I just wanted to say thank you all so much for taking such great care of my new puppy!  Talulah is a happy healthy fiesty little girl with the sweetest personality.  I am having so much fun taking care of her and playing with her too!  She's settling in well and missing her mom and littermates less each day.  Please let me know if I owe any additonal costs and I will be sure to send pictures as she grows into a beautiful dog.  I will also highly recommend Sunshine Acres to anyone interested in a Beagle! Thanks again!

Best Regards,

Ashley Campbell "

We met outside of the Charlotte Douglas International Airport in this beautiful grassy waiting area by the Queen Charlotte statue & fountain.

lol, Cathy sent us this cell phone shot of Mabel & Luke-
" I realized Mabel was young enough to accept a changed environment which included being adopted by our dog at home."

She was trained on the invisible fence system two weeks ago and caught on immediately. She didn't stray far before that though and we see the difference in scenting abilities between she & Luke.  She hasn't a clue why he sometimes runs with his nose to the ground & yelping.

Pretty Mabel!

Mabel has fit into our life splendidly!  She ran to the door for outside business just days after we brought her home.

The tub training lasted about 6 weeks and she graduated to her big wire crate near my bed.  Luke sleeps up next to the crate in the same type bed so they have some togetherness, with their own space.  She slept till 7 since then.  She used to tiptoe in behind him for naps when she was tiny and for a few weeks tried to nurse when he laid on his side, settling for the loose skin behind his front arm :D  He'd look at us like "what is going on here?"  LOL

We also met with Scout's new fam at the airport that day!

"Hello there.  We are totally in love with our little guy.  He is so, so good.  We can tell that he had a great training start with you and we've tried to continue it at our house.  We're taking him out every 30 minutes and he just does his business like he is a pro. The first night when we fed him, he looked around in a frenzied state, crying and looking for his sisters.  It was like he thought they were supposed to be there.  He was fine after a minute or so and proceeding to dig in wholeheartedly.  He really seems to have settled in and seems to feel at home already.
It's amazing how similar his day is to that of a newborn in that he wakes up, goes to the bathroom, eats, plays for 25 minutes or so, snuggles with us and then lays down for a nap.
Saturday night, he went to sleep at 7 pm and kept sleeping and sleeping and sleeping.  I stayed up until 2:30 am, doing chores around our house and anticipating that he would wake up and need to go out any minute before I headed to bed.  Finally I just went to bed and that little sleepy-head slept until 7 am!
He and our 10 months old cat are hilarious together - she totally does not know what to make of him but is intrigued and seems happy to have the activity around the house, even if he is walking up and swatting her with his paws.

The kids are in love, as are our friends and neighbors who have met him. Thank you again for all you have done for us and for Scout.  We will keep in touch for sure and thank you for the wonderful photos on the website.
What a memory!

Corinne S. Smith"

Orange petite girl "Bitsey" was the smallest in her litter

"She has brightened our world, my husband can't wait to get home at night to spend time with her.  She is our little lap dog, she always wants to be in our lap or as close to us as she can possibly be - just what we wanted.  She is about 11" and weighs around 14 pounds, I don't expect that she will get any bigger - her size is perfect, her features are very petite, especially compared to my other beagle. My husband calls her his little thoroughbred, his little "Sea Biscuit" (I don't think we could have found a dog more suited for him)."

"Thanks again, she brings us so much pleasure - every time we look at her it brings a smile to our face.  Her personality is just great.  I saw pics of Reggie on your sight recently, he is gorgeous.  My husband loved to go to the site and look at the pics of him with the ball.  It is fun to get to be able to keep up with Bitsey's litter mates and see what beautiful dogs they turned out to be.  You and your children keep up the good work, we need more breeders like you.  I will keep up my visits to your site to enjoy all of your beautiful pups and hopefully, once I can retire, there will be another puppy from you in my life - there is more room in the bed and more love in our hearts!"

"I've got a toy!"
"hey there puppies, lets share my toy!"

Some of the families who adopted one of her puppies last litter sent us a gift card, to use to thank their " surrogate" baby momma for their new family member.   That means so much to the kids and I when folks are so generous and loving  we just know our babies will have a wonderful spoiled life with them and that's what we are looking for in potential homes for our hand raised cutie pies !!

Jake and Punkin hang out.

 Ruth's Recently Claimed Litter

Entering homes the first week of May!

She had her litter of 6 Puppies ,

all are spoken for now ! these were quickly snaped up !  this is one of the  main reasons  folks decide to plan ahead and get their name on the expectant parents list ahead of time once they are convinced we are the first home they want to adopt from,  knowing we will start them with TLC , just as they plan on giving our little one.

Introducing Ruth Tricolor small standard mommmy

shiny girl!

"Cute puppies! So, I'm going to have my own one day? cool..!"

" My name is Nicole Rouse, and I meet you and your daughter when Mom (Yolanda Rouse) and I came to pick up Ruth back in February.  I loved seeing where Ruth was born and meeting you two!  Ruth and Sally mean so much to our family and I love them both very much!  They are each packed full of personality, and two of the most loving dogs I have ever known.

Since I moved away from home, about eight years ago, I have really missed having a companion.  I have waited so long, because I have been in school and I knew that I was not able to provide for a dog at that time.  I also wanted to wait, because I was not sure of what breed would best suit me.  When the beagles came into our lives, I knew for the first time that this was it!  I fell in love with Sally and Ruth!  I love how Sally likes to snuggle up with people, especially Mom!  She looooves her Moma! :)  I just love how Ruth looks at me with her pretty little eyes, and how loving and playful she is!  I went home the other day, and it was the first day since last year that it was sunny and 75 degrees.  That morning Ruth, Sally, and myself sat on the front porching swing and just sat there in the sun the entire morning.  It was great, and it felt so good to have those two next to me!  I also love how gentle they are.  They are the perfect companion.

I am emailing you, because I would love to have one of Ruth's babies. " ...

Yes, please! This has just made my night! How soon can I get him? I've been asking for a dog since I could speak and I will be getting him, finally, for my college graduation.

Krista and her mom look at the book that Bette Jean had made starring her sunshine acres beagle "Pepper"! Bette Jean had just come out to pick up Finley's brother "Virgil" (aka D-Bo) for her son and daughter in law Bill & Corynn who are foreign diplomats and were in route from Africa to their home in Vero Beach, where Bette Jean was headed to see them!

" Hey!
I just wanted to let you know how wonderful we're doing. He slept on my lap the whole way home and even though we stopped twice in between naps, he held it until we got back. He went hurry up as soon as we got home and  he's gone outside every time. Even the paper was clean this morning! I've been taking him out at the times you suggested and he seems to let me know if he needs to go.

He only whined for about 5 to 10 minutes last night before he fell asleep and he cried 2 or 3 times during the night, but always fell back asleep.

He is wonderful and every time we go outside we get compliments!

Thanks so much! "

Tricolor Girl

She is claimed by Yolanda Rouse!

"Babe" Chocolate Female

She has been claimed by Nicole Rouse & Daniel!! (Yolanda's daughter!)

She is going to allow us to breed Babe in the future just like her mom did with Ruth!

..." I have also discussed getting a puppy with Mom and Dad, so that I could have their input, because it always means a lot to me what they think.  Mom and Dad are all for it, plus they would love to be able to have yet another special beagle in their lives.  Mom even said to me, "Grandma is all for babysitting if needed!!"  I have also discussed this with my boyfriend, Daniel.  He and I have been together for almost a year now, and I honestly believe that he is the one!  He is a wonderful man, and he has been so supportive of me throughout nursing school.  He has a yellow lab mix named Bowser.  Bowser is a year and 5 months old, and he is a sweetheart!  He goes everywhere that Daniel goes, and he is very well trained.  He gets along with every dog he meets, and he looooves Ruth!  When we go to Mom and Dad's, he and Ruth play for hours.  She even shares her toys with him.  They run around all day in the yard until they are too tired to play any longer.

Now, I will tell you about myself and where I live.  I am 62 days away from graduating with my Associate Degree in Nursing (I am counting down the days).  I have worked very hard for this and I am finially at the end of the road.  I will graduate on May 12 and hope to take my NCLEX-RN state boards at the end of May or first week of June 2010.  I currently live on Wrightsville Beach with my younger sister Melissa.  We are moving to a town house in a community called Lion's Gate, which is right on the other side of the Wrightsville Beach bridge.  It is a three bedroom home with two bathrooms.  One of Melissa's best friends from high school is going to be living with us also.  There is a small backyard with a tall wooden privacy fence around it.  No other pets will be living in our home.  I do go over to Daniel's home frequently.  He owns his house, and has a large fenced in back yard.  Bowser lives inside, but loves to play outside too.  I plan to follow your tips on potty training, and I do want my puppy to learn to sleep in a crate at night.  I plan to kennel train and leash train my little baby.  There is a great veternarians office in Scotts Hill, about 20 minutes from my home in which I plan to use.  When I start my job at the hospital, I will work three 12 hour shifts a week.  On those days, Daniel has agreed to keep the puppy with him so that it will have human contact and not just sit in a crate for all that time.  He takes Bowser to work with him at his office everyday.  If Daniel is unable to take the puppy for some reason, Mom is again happy to help out!

I am sorry that this is so long, but I really wanted you to be able to get a good feel about me, where I live, and what I am doing in life.  If you have any questions, or need me to clarify anything please let me know.  I know this is a lot of information at one time haha!  I am going to include my phone number, as well as Daniel's number.  This is if you have any questions or if you wanted to talk with us on the phone.  If you allow me to be a mommy to one of Ruth's babies, Daniel and Bowser will come with Mom and I.  I would really want for you to meet him and Bowser, because they are a large part of my life.

Thank you for your time and I really hope to hear back from you soon!  God bless!

Nicole"

"Yay!!!!!!

I just checked the site and saw that you updated it!  Daniel and I were gushing over how cute she is last night!  We cruised the website for almost an hour last night...that website is very addicting! haha! "

"Virgil" Chocolate Boy

He is claimed by the Stratton's from Algeria! They are the son and daughter in law of Bette Jean, who is the proud mommy of sunshine acres "Pepper" by Domino. Bill & Corynn are diplomats in the foreign service, moving every couple of years, and had plans to be in the states during May. D-Bo's homecoming timeframe works out perfectly ! He will have a big sister beagle "Casey" who will help show him the ropes in his new home!

"Dear Miss C and Family,

We were SOOO delighted to hear this news! We've been pouring over the website and see that Ruth came back to Sunshine Acres especially to breed. This is her first litter, right? Who is the Daddy? Can you send us pictures of him?

What's most amazing about this is that we had already chosen names for our future little boy or girl. No kidding, the name we chose weeks ago was “D-Bo”. Can you believe that?!?! So when we saw that you had named Ruth’s chocolate baby Bo, we thought to ourselves that it must be fate!!! We are so happily surprised and would be beside ourselves to adopt little Bo into our family! Its beyond coincidence. We are so thrilled to give Casey such an adorable little brother. "

" HAPPY 20TH BIRTHDAY TO CHRISTI!!!!

We introduced Casey to photos of D-Bo today. She's very excited about her new little brother!! Check out the picture!"

Pepper meets Virgil!

Pretty  "Pepper"  by our "Domino" poses for her picture, then checks out the new toy

the Rouse's sent us to give out to each of Ruth's litter when they head to their new homes !

we are so happy to see her and how gorgeous she has turned out not only looks but a gentle and calm temperament to go with the beauty.  She already has impressed a lot of folks Bette Jean says when they meet Pepper they have to comment on how good she is , compared to other beagles they have seen.  She told Miss C. she has surpassed all she could have hoped for in a Pet.  We loved hearing that !

"Hey Miss Christina and Christi, It was soooo good seeing you on Wednesday. We turned little D-Bo over to Corynn and Bill and they are in love. After some thought, they have renamed him Virgil. He is such a good, but spunky little guy. What a perfect addition to our family. I'm sure you'll hear from Corynn soon. Thanks so much for creating such perfect little beagles. Love, Bette Jean, Richard and Pepper "

Thanks,

Ed & Sara

"what's this? a plastic Easter egg? I don't really see what all the fuss is about.."

Hello Christine!

My family have been feverishly researching puppies that would best fit our family.  We feel like a beagle would be a perfect fit.   We wanted to wait until our eldest son was old enough to help with the responsibilities of caring for a puppy.  We live in Lincolnton, NC.  We are a family of four:  daddy, Cameron, mommy Stephani, 5 year old son Gray and 21 month old son Mason.  Our boys both love animals and are very gentle as well as loving to my mother-in-law's Jack Russell and mini Pomeranian.  We live in a house that sits on 4 acres, but only 2 of the acres are fenced in with an aluminum fence.  We are hoping to have a puppy that can grow up with the boys and become part of our family.  We want the dog to sleep in a bed in the house.

We visited your website after a referral from a friend who has a sunshine beagle.  We would love to bring Tucker home.  Our son Gray fell in love with his picture and keeps asking about him.

Rorie has been claimed by his new family from Monroe NC!! mommy Alicia emailed saying she had been watching the website for 4 months, and had fallen for this little guy, and then seeing that we had named him Rorie pushed her over the cliff! She felt it was meant to be since her maiden name happened to be Rorie! This sweetie is going to have 2 sisters in his family who are 5 and 3, and mom will be home a lot as she is a registered who works as needed usually 2 days a week, and will be able to help him adapt to his new home! Dad Michael who is manager over radiology at CMC Union is off this weekend and

nano boy & mini male

He is claimed by Matt & Amanda! Amanda had written us back in February about their desires for a Sunshine Acres Beagle when the time comes!

" Hello there! My name is Amanda, I'm 23 years old and I live in Fayetteville, NC with my fiance, Matthew, just outside of Ft. Bragg. I have been eyeing your website for several months now and have finally gotten the courage to contact you in regards to adopting one of your beagle puppies! I have scowered your site vigorously and am always breath-taken by your pups and how caring, knowledgable, and genuine your family seems to be in raising and adopting out their dogs. I will immediately say that although there a few things Matt and I must prepare and attend to in our lives at this moment before owning one, I know that in the near future we will be very much up to the task! I hope that by providing you with my information, and perhaps gaining some more about you and your amazing dogs, that we can be matched up with the perfect pup in a time soon to come. :)

First, a bit about us!
I graduated from the University of Denver in Denver, CO, last March ('09) and moved out here to be with Matthew last August. Matthew has been in the Army for the past 4 or so years and will continue to be so for about the next 5. I currently work full time at Starbucks right here in the heart of Fayetteville, and we're actually considered the busiest store in the entire southeastern quadrant of the US! Quite a difference from the lax environment I had while in Denver, hehe. Anyway, I usually work between 33-40 hrs a week and never exceed such. Matt currently has a 9-5 job on base in Ft. Bragg. Unfortunately, working at Starbucks means weird and often variable hours, so I don't have a "set" schedule like he does. Having said that, however, I have been working mostly mornings until early afternoon (mostly just past noon, actually), and am home way before Matt is. When I do work evenings, I am usually home all day in the morning and into the afternoon, and it's only a few hours before Matt arrives home. We both are very lovable, goofy characters and we laugh all the time! But we also know when to be serious and attend to matters that are pressing and important.

Matt has had cats all of his life, but has this magic touch with dogs that's honestly kind of hard to explain - they respond to him, and he absolutely adores them. Either way, he has always treated his animals as if they were his own children. He even trained his cats when he lived back home, and who ever knew you could train a cat? (I didn't!) He is very responsible and very loving, a very
gentle man in an extremely gruff and tough job, but he never fails to attend to those who need him most. As for me, I have never personally owned a dog either (unfortunately!!), but have taken care of, dog-sat, even dog-trained numerous k9's who belonging to close friends and neighbors for extended periods of time. I own quite a few dog training books and watch dog training shows on TV constantly! I absolutely love dogs, and have been eyeing beagles in particular for many years now. As kids, my parents refused to let my sister and me have anything more than birds and lizards growing up, their reason being that they already had two kids to pick up after and they didn't want a third one to add to the "chaos," lol. Obviously, my parents were overly stressed. :P However, I have always wanted a dog - badly! In fact, a friend in college rescued a beagle of her own my sophomore year, and it was the most amazing little dog I had ever met. As I got to know her, and even dog-sat her several times, it more and more came clear to me that a beagle was the dog I wanted to have and love. When my friend and Pi moved away, I told myself that I would work towards owning a lovable beagle of my own one day, no matter what! :) I guess I just never felt I had a big enough reason to finally jump in and adopt one (a.k.a. break free from my parent's mentality) until I ended up moving in with Matt. He is going to deploy this next August to Afganistan and will leave me alone in our apartment in a city and state that is still fairly new to me. Not that I'm without friends or anything, but it will be lonely and so I am looking for a little companion to teach, grow, and have fun with while he's away. And when he's back, to integrate as a natural member of our family..."

I also read on your site that these "rarer" colored beagles tend to shed a bit less than their tri-colored counter parts, and don't get as affected by heat. Matt has a slight allergy problem to dogs, nothing that a claritin won't fix, but anything that could lessen his stress with that would be extraordinarily helpful. Size is not super important, but I would prefer a petite standard size female beagle. Other than that, I just want a beagle who can be happy being a couch potato one moment and actively on a walk/jog the next! As for obtaining the puppy, I don't see a reason why we couldn't drive up, but if it is an issue that's definitely something we will discuss in more detail as the time approaches.

Wooh! I think that's a long enough email for you to sore your eyes over. Again please feel free to contact me with any further inquires, and thank you SO much for taking the time out of your busy schedules to read this!! I am glad to have found a breeder that seems to care so genuinely and have such a unique passion for their beagles as you do. :) I hope to hear from you soon!

Warmest regards,
Amanda

"We really appreciate your knowledge, this is why we're so excited to adopt from you guys!! Buttercup is absolutely adorable, and we were actually talking about adopting her quite seriously. And now say she's caught up on all her shots AND doing crate training? That's so fabulous! BUT, we have some bad news...well, the army does. We were just told a couple days ago that Matt's shots will have to be pushed out a few weeks due to a week of out-of-state training! :'( Considering how allergic he is, we just couldn't see taking any dog home now as a good idea... :(

On that same note, we ultimately decided that saving up for a khaki would really be our best option considering his allergies. We saw that you have some puppies coming up for spring! Like April or May - we feel that would be the perfect time to adopt considering he'll have had a few shots by that time already. And we completely understand about the non-negotiations about the khakis, we know that there are so many things yall have to take care of and that initial expenses for any puppy isn't cheap, let alone several dozen! So no worries, and thank you for being so honest. Now, for some GOOD NEWS!! As luck/fate would have it, I JUST got a new job offer (today actually) that will pay me substantially more than where I'm working now, so saving up for a khaki seems completely doable!! Talk about things happening for a reason, right? hehe :)"

 "Hey sunshine family!

Thanks for such a quick response! And for the congrats on the new job - I'm stoked! And yeah talk about perfect timing. :) I'm going to be a Leasing Agent/Consultant for the corporate company that actually runs the apartment complex Matt and I live in, though I'll be working at their sister site just down the road. They are called "Blue Ridge Property Management." They're super awesome, our own leasing agent has even turned out to be a great outside friend of mine! Haha. Mostly I'm excited though because not only will it pay me better, but it'll will finally get my foot in the door of the professional/corporate world, and I didn't work so hard in college for almost 5 years to get my degree to work at Starbucks for the rest of my life :P hehe (not that there's anything wrong with that, just not what I want or planned, ya know?). During the interview, the manager even hinted at some big potential opportunities for me to explore my creative side in the job as well, from web site design and development, to posters, brochures, event planning, etc. THAT got me pumped, since I graduated in graphic design. :) Thanks so much for the inquiry!! You guys are awesome, and super sweet! Are you (Christi) and Cody still in school? If so, where are you guys with that? Any plans for the future (school-wise)?

As for pre-approving us and allowing us to send in our deposit - OMG THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! Omg omg, we are SO excited!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!! I will let you know as soon as the envelope hits the mail (I'll try and get it out tomorrow, but if not, definitely Monday). It should only take a day or two before you get it since you guys only live about 2.5 hours away :)  Wow, I am beyond excited!!! I'm going to go shopping for puppy stuff now!! Haha. We are so looking forward to joining the Sunshine Acres Family too, and thank you so SO much again for this amazing opportunity. We can't wait to get on the list and bring home our baby girl!! :

Much love,

Amanda + Matt

"Oh. My. Word!!!!!!!!! Ok, just saw the updated pictures of the Shelly's khaki male pups and completely fell in love...I did see the lemon pup that Pumkin had, but also know that someone else is in line for her, which is totally fine because Shelly's pups are where my heart is now, haha. Funny how that changes, huh? So yep! That's it, we're set!!! We are either interested in Shelly's khaki boy with a blaze, or the one with the half 'n half muzzle. We have decided on a name, Matt came up with it -- we're going to call him "Ranger"  (since one of Matt's ultimate dreams and goals in life is to be a Ranger in the Army, and of course I think it's awesome because I fully support him in it). Please please PLEASE let me know if either one is claimable! We would like to start the claming process, get up there, meet you guys (finally!) and take him home as soon as possible. :)

Thank you SO so much for all your patience and dedication. You guys are truly the best and I don't believe we could've found a better family or breeder to connect with, no matter where we were. :) Hope to hear from you soon!!
Much love,
Amanda "

"We are SO ready, Matt keeps on saying "when are we going to get a puppy?" or "I just want a cuddly little puppy...I want him now!!" (this coming from a 24 year old man in the military -- they truly are SO adorable!) And of course I'm on your website every day at all hours, hehe. ;) It's funny when I read your statement about agreeing with Cesar Millan's way of training -- I can't express enough how much of an avid fan of his I am, in fact two days before I got the links to your guidance page I had already ordered two of his books! And I NEVER miss a new "Dog Whisperer" on NatGeo. You guys are the epitomy of amazing!! :D"

"OH MY GOODNESS!!!! AHHHHHHH we're SO excited!!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!! We are more than ready to pick him up this coming weekend! Shall we set up a day and time? Does Saturday work for you or is Sunday best? We can do either one very easily. OH my gosh, we are so happy Christi!! When I read your email I started crying -- happy tears of course!! And then I instantly texted Matt and he is beyond ecstatic!! He said he got a big flutter in his heart and tummy at work, and he's supposed to be all serious and army-like, hahaha! This is the moment I've been waiting for for SO many years, and Matt of course has ALWAYS wanted to be a daddy! :) It's a feeling like no other to be joint parents with the man I'll be spending the rest of my life with, and for an amazing little pup like Ranger. I'm so happy he is your favorite khaki puppy ever, too! haha. That makes it even more exciting (I dunno, is that even possible? hahaha). You guys have been SO good to us, emailing me back with promptness and being so patient and answering all our questions...and now providing us with our little boy! We are eternally grateful.

Ok, serious time, lol. Please let me know when would be a good time for us to come up and meet/pick up Ranger. I will make sure I get the car ready with all our gear (puppy stuff) and prepare for the 2.5 hour trip up to Monroe. I'm also compiling a list of questions to ask you guys once we get up there, I hope that's ok, hehe. :P Wow, omg WE CANNOT WAIT!!!!!! You've really touched our lives, Sunshine family, and given us the most amazing gift -- God bless you guys!!"

"Rondo" Khaki Nano Boy

He has been claimed by the Coyles!!

 Hi Ms. Christina and family,

"After looking through your website 5 times a day for the past week (lol), I know you are extremely busy!!  As you mention it is addicting to say the least!!  I am just checking in with you in case you didn't get my email last weekend.  If you've been too busy to check then I apologize for sending a second email.  I just wanted to introduce myself and get acquainted and hopefully approved and eventually on a waiting list.
I am so picky!  I have been searching for about a year now until I found your website.  I am more than impressed to say the least.  Everyone I have come across seems too pushy to sell their pups to anyone to make money.  That is until I discovered Sunshine Acres Beagles.  You are everything my wife and I have been looking for.  After researching your website we are extremely ecstatic with the training they receive from you from day 1 due to the fact that we are interested in an inside companion.
With that said allow me to introduce myself.....My name is Kevin and I live in Rhode Island with my wife Nancy of 2 years.  We have been in search of adding a new member to our family and would love to be considered a candidate by you .  We have our own home with a decent backyard all fenced in.  We are also a walking distance from a beautiful park that we'd love to take our pup to.  Outside of work, we like to spend most of our time at home, which would be ideal with a new addition to the family!  I plan on reading up on your website much more but I was just too excited to wait and contact you!
We would be willing to wait for a special Nano mini pup in Khaki whenever available.  I did see that you mention how rare they are so we would consider a mini khaki pup as well.  We would love having a doggie bed next to ours or I'm sure we can find room in our bed.  :O)  In regards to personality, we would definitely enjoy a well rounded personality to adapt to our lifestyle.  I hope I answered most of your initial questions for now, but there is plenty of time to get acquainted.
We look forward to hearing back from you at your convenience.

Regards,
Kevin & Nancy Coyle "

" Hey there!!!  Happy Easter!!!  oh my gosh he is too cute!!!  I do hope he likes to go for walks too! Especially with the beautiful weather up here lately and I see everyone walking their dogs, I can't wait to join them with him.
Please let me know the next step at your convenience.  I have looked through your website and I'm guessing I should work on contacting airlines because unfortunately we wouldn't be able to make a trip.  I hope thats not a problem??

We are so excited!!!!
Kevin and Nancy "

Since he is not a petite nano, we decided he would be sturdy enough to fly home via PetSafe, since Continental allows us to use a big padded quiet time cuddler bed in our crates, we knew he would be able to nap on the way up to Rhode Island.

he just loves coming over and climbing up in my lap!
