" Hands on Charlotte"
A local Charlotte lady's son from up North had emailed us to ask if anyone was available to come to his moms Senior Center one Christmas when he wasn't able to visit her himself.
He told us she always had a beagle puppy for him to enjoy growing up and he knew seeing one would brighten her day! Miss C's son Cody said he and his girlfriend at the time now wife Neffie would be happy to !
Cody is stoped in the Lobby by several ladies who wanted a touch of Puppy Lovin on his way up to meet Mary who's son hired us to visit with a cute beagle puppy for the Holidays !!
Mary was so happy to meet the kids, and get to see a sweet little puppy again, lots of elderly folks feel a bit confined and enjoy new faces and experiences, so we offer Beagle Pet Therapy
happily at our original location near Charlotte NC !

Roger and his wife had adopted two kids and when he lost her he told us he would love to offer 2 of our Retiring mom's a good home :)
we were thrilled to see how well his autistic daughter took to the dogs right off the bat ! And knowing how calm and gentle our girls would be with the family we thought it would be a good fit to entertain the kids when Dad was working In his home office :)
Lemon and White Buffy and tri colored Shug await the family's arrival
we had retired both gals from breeding and they got along very well together.
Miss Christina spends time with the gals before they go to their new home/family
and sweet Buffy looks for them to arrive !

"Gaige"
moma Shug had an adorable pup who looked a lot like her we named
" Gaige" his new family kept the name too
" Gaige" his new family kept the name too
we got to see them often when they traveled and left Gaige to Board with his first family ( us) .
some times when we had a female for him to sire a litter with he stayed for Free :) "Gaige" like his mom "Shug" we retired had some unique markings with color all the way down the legs to cute little white paws :)

in one of her updates Casey told us:
As a side note, Gaige is everything and more than you promised he would be. He is an amazing little man with a great personality and has truly brought joy to our family. I hope Cody will be home so he can spend some time with Gaige too. Please let me know if we can plan for Gaige to be with you during our vacation |
Beagle puppies have a soothing effect on all of us and we love sharing ours with others :)
we received a letter from a lady who's son had a condition we , like most folks have never heard of..
we wanted to share their success story for all our audience to learn about this little known condition .

Morgan had written in order to become approved to adopt one of our family's babies .
I am interested in getting one of your beautiful Beagle puppies. I would like to share with you a little bit about my family and hope after this email you will understand why I feel a Beagle pup is a good fit to complete my little family of four.
I live in Dover, NH with my Husband Corey, my son Beau (3) and daughter Belle (18 months). We have recently learned that Beau has a condition called Selective Mutism. It's a relatively unknown but complex anxiety disorder that is slowly gaining awareness. Children with Selective Mutism usually have Social and/or Generalized anxiety and are unable to speak/are mute in most social settings outside the home, despite being able to speak fully and freely at home with family. While this seems like a fancy word for shyness, children with SM are suffering from so much more. Shy children are still able to function despite their uneasiness in certain situations. Children with SM miss out on a social level with their peers and are unable to communicate basic needs because of their inability so speak. I keep using the work "inability" because for a long time it as thought that these children were being stubborn, willful, rude or insubordinate. It is now recognized that these children are unable to speak despite their great desire to do so.
I'm telling you all of this because we believe that a little Beagle buddy for Beau (aka Beau Bear) would help him gain the confidence he needs to bridge the divide that his SM creates for him. We went to the beach recently and there was a little boy there with a puppy and Beau walked RIGHT UP TO HIM and started asking about his dog. I was FLOORED. His therapist also has a dog that he does very well with and he believes a loyal little puppy for Beau would be great for his anxiety and help him open up more in social situations because the focus would be on the dog and not him.
I hope you are still with me. I know this has been long. So why a Beagle? I have loved Beagles ever since I was a little girl. My first experience with a Beagle was a next door neighbor who kept his beagle tied out in their back yard all day long. He howled a lot understandably but was a very playful funny little dog and my siblings and I just loved him. My second experience was again with a neighbor who had hunting Beagles. He kept them in his backyard in cages and treated them like livestock. My mother was constantly calling the police on him about his treatment of the dogs, he never seemed to clean out their cages or give them enough water in the summer. We were always sneaking over there while he was at work and giving them water and making sure they were clean. They were always so excited to see us, it was heartbreaking. This is a big driver for me in my interest for your Beagles. All of the breeders near me in ME, NH and VT breed hunting Beagles and I'm not interested in participating in that.
Morgan kept in touch as she grew up like we love to have happen... and one of the early emails said her son really took a shine to the new family member and with her he wasn't quiet... in fact he loves reading outloud to his new companion !! awesome news for us to know our work developing our loving and calm

Hi there! Just wanted to give an update,
things are going great! Merida is a sweet little puppy we just love her lively personality.
She has barely had any accidents in the house and she has been amazing in her crate at night.
She looooooooves to nap on the patio in the afternoons and go for walks with me early in the morning, she's my little coffee buddy.
I think the most amazing thing about her is she DOES NOT shed. It's amazing.
As a neat freak I appreciate this lol.
Hope all is well with you and the family,
Morgan

Miss Christina wrote back saying
Hey Morgan,
Oh that's so good to hear!!
I worked many years, on these coats and having an un solicited comment like that means alot to me.
I was petting a tri cored rescue today thinking about the fur differences, and that its hard to explain...
I really appreciate you writing a testimonial of sorts about her shorter less shedding fur .
that's awesome to hear from a true customer who trusted me online...
Pretty amazing :)
To make a change to a breed..I've been criticized by hunting beaglers who don't breed for families..
So someone seeing why i worked for this change would be nice

Our family is so proud to have helped this sweetheart and they've written recently saying they may just want another of our unique rare colored Companions in the future :)
