Please review our tips & advice on emailing us below, so that your email can more easily be seen, reviewed, details considered, and responded to whenever we have the opportunity to get online between full time caring for our babies here at home, so that we can feel comfortable with approving you for adoption & help you find and raise just the right companion beagle for your family!

Our Time taking care of our hand raised family oriented beagle puppies is our first priority (& all our sunshine acres beagles!) I greatly appreciate everyone's patience & understanding that a majority of my time spent here at home is devoted to our sweeties & hand raising each of our sunshine acres puppies with all the TLC they need to go into approved pet homes!

We like for our puppies to go into considerate homes & families, so in order to be approved to adopt one of our babies, we ask to see everyone demonstrate their sincere understanding and patience with our unique process by respecting the fact that we have to spend most of our time committed to our beagles, puppies, & responsibilities here. Whenever I am at home, I'm usually either taking care of the little ones, taking pictures, working on the website for the benefit of all of our nationwide followers, and more, while my mom Miss Christina is usually tending to newborns, doggies, or other important responsibilities around here!

When we are able to find a stopping point, we work on website updates so that once we go online & publiash, our many many followers across the nation will simultaneously see our updates together & all know what's currently going on here. When on the computer, we have to upload & organize our zillions of adorable beagle photos, & update the website. These webupdates hopefully answer everyone's common questions, so that we can proceed to focus on our individual emails with sincere families who have already learned about us, appreciate our mission and are ready to move forward with the goal of finding & raising their very own companion pet when the comes!

I also try my best to help answer emails. This is at time when I've take care of everything else, and can sit down to focus on reviewing potentional homes, perhaps discuss considerations with my mom, and compose a reply (hopefully without getting interrupted lol! But sometimes I do need to do something else, and have to come back to finish a letter later). Of course depending on the nature of the request, we may need to get back to some emails before others. Usually when we see an email from one of our families who has claimed one of our current puppies, (especially those going home soonest), I generally give those emails priority when we're online.

If a few days go by and you haven't received a reply, do feel free to be kindly persistent in reminding us of your family to make sure we didn't miss your interest. I try to check emails most days, but sometimes days go by without time to get online. Then when we do get online, there are pages of emails, and sometimes great interests get pushed back to the next page during the flood. We really appreciate your patience, persistence, and kindness when emailing us about potentially adopting one of our babies, its especially appreciated after those late nights caring for newborns & early coffee-mornings around here !

(such as your favorite puppies you're interestested in, timeframe you are looking for, preferences you'd like to find etc) This helps me better remember your wishes, so that I can try to piece together everyone's desires in an ultimate puzzle, and get back to everyone sooner as I see good matches for each our pups !

We prefer to communicate through email, especially with the many people out there across the nation who we don't already know, we will only do so through email. Please understand that Miss Christina has many inquiries a day, from families we may or may not know, so Miss C & kids can not provide our home phone number to the general public that surfs the internet. 20 calls a day would constantly interrupt our devoted care to newborn puppies and responsibilities that we are committed to throughout each & every day here around Sunshine Acres. Emailing gives us the freedom to review & refer to emails whenever we have time or catch a break, and then communicate when we are able to with serious inquiries & appropriate families.

Please understand that with the website being on the world wide web, sometimes things can move pretty quickly, and then when we get on the computer, the first thing we do is work on updating the website for everyone out there to benefit from.

We wish it were possible to email each and every person that inquires about each and every puppy, but updating the website with much more details & photos is simply more efficient than writing out an email &/or attaching photos to each and every single inquiry.

Our website is like a little community bulletin board- You can freely Check back often to keep yourself up to date with what's going on, and then feel free to email us if a current puppy catches your eye, or if you want to be preapproved for a puppy & join the waiting list to get our help finding what you want! If we were not able to get back to you, don't worry, you were probably not the only one, and if several days have gone by, you are welcome to try again! (Consider some of the possible reasons we may not have been able to get back to you, further below.)

If you have inquired about a certain puppy, and then see that he has found a home, you can assume the puppy went to someone we felt was the best match for that baby, perhaps to someone who was pre-approved & with a deposit down before you, and just decided to quickly apply their deposit to that certain pup for their own, or to someone we have been talking to for awhile.
Some days we may get a number of emails about a certain cutie, so when he is sold, we just update the website to let everyone else out there (watching our website like a soap opera!) know who he found a family with!

Interested in purchasing a beagle

We love it when people give us the details, and we choose to respond to these preferred customers who have shown they appreciate our time with the babies, making the website informative for them to learn from, & understand that we need to know a little about the household before considering it as a good potential home for one of our babies.

Tell us about You / Your family & household, and how you want your sunshine beagle to fit in.
- Where will the puppy sleep at night, in a crate, bed?
- Do you have a fenced or invisble yard, or are you planning to walk him?(ps. our beagles do great on invisible fence!)
- Where are you from - will you be driving or would you need to have us ship the puppy to you?
- Do you Have kids? What are their ages & how are they around small animals?
- What Timeframes would work best for you, are you planning for the future or ready now?
- Do you have any other pets?
- We also like any other information you'd like to share, such as what career you are involved in (we find it neat to know about the different things folks do and unique interests! And any details on how the puppy will fit into your life is always appreciated ! )

In your email include any Preferences you may have- your preferred gender, coloring, size, personality,
If you are open to various preferences, that's great! You would simply have more options to choose from to love as your own when the time comes! If you are still deciding, that is okay too- lets just get started based on what you know you are looking for and we can go from there!

You can ask to be considered for a certain puppy, or tell us about your desires for a future puppy; If you love them all and aren't sure which puppy you want to choose, we can help you find the right one!

Subject lines that mention key preferences can usually get answered faster, simply because its a little easier knowing what you want, when I'm looking at a list of new inquiries. (Especially if we happen to have a pup available that matches what you're looking for!)

Future Timeframe? Even if you are planning on getting a puppy later, you can go ahead and touch base with us and let us know your plans. You can also place a deposit on a future puppy or newborn. (Joining the Waiting List holds your place in line, so when you are ready you can claim a puppy quicker & easier, and places more priority on your emails!)

Please remember, we are a mom and two kids (Ms Christina, Christi, and Cody), so there are no receptionists or business hours. You can go ahead and send your phone number if you want to, we usually prefer to communicate through emails, rather than long distance phone calls, but occasionally a phone number is handy if we have a quick question or find we have an immediate opening for you to come out.

Once we've gotten to know more about you, if you plan to come out to Meet us & puppies, perhaps to come place a deposit or pick up your puppy, we will email you our address, directions to our home, and our phone number. (If you are out of state, and can't take a get-away to travel out this way, we do offer Shipping thru Continental PetSafe, if weather permits.)

All our pages are created by us, (Miss Christina, and daughter Christi) so everything found on the website is from our own experience and in our own words. Over the years we have added more & more in order to answer many questions you may have. If you still can't find what you are looking for, you are welcome to include your question in your email to us.

Common Questions: Many people have emailed us about such things as our opinion on hunting dogs versus a family dog. We have an entire page that covers the difference in common hunting beagle bloodlines compared to our companion pets developed over the years, selectively bred & Hand-Raised for pet homes only.

Please understand that among the many new interests, emails that simply questions without providing information on the puppy's potential new home, can understandably be overlooked in favor of those who are serious about adoption. This is because there are other families interested who have included info on themselves so that we can know that their home is appropriate for one of our puppies, and they have shown that they were actually serious about the idea of getting one of our companion pets, and took the time to read our website. (Remember- puppies require patience, so getting through our website demonstrates your patience! lol) We welcome questions, just please consider our time away from sunshine acres responsibilities, as well as family life, to answer an abundance of already covered questions on a daily basis. :) Thanks!

If you haven't heard from us, don't be discouraged! There can be many elements affecting our ability to answer emails at the time and we appreciate patience & considerate persistence from our potential Sunshine Acres Families...

In our line of work , things like a struggling newbie who needs help nursing every two hours around the clock is the utmost important task of the day... it has to be. There are certainly times when caring for the tiniest newborn runt, or helping to birth a new litter, spending a day at the vet having a litter of mini puppies born by emergency c-section and staying up with the little ones to care for a groggy mommie, is more important than answering e-mails. There is so much that goes into what we do, and I'm sure you understand that our devotion to caring for all of our beagles must come first, and you "wouldn't want it any other way!" as we have heard from some families who are now part of Happy Sunshine Acres Family, afterall, thats why you came to us rather buying from an unknown source in a pet store- you can easily see how your puppy was raised here by our website, versus knowing nothing about a breeder who cared so little about where their dog's offspring end up, that they sold them to a pet store to distribute to anyone who walks in.)

Maybe we need some extra details to consider & go from. Remember, including details also helps us know you are serious, and saw at least enough of the website to know to include those things that really do matter to us! You are welcome to FWD your previous email, and add those extra details in your second attempt to reach us, so that if we do get to open your email, we can see all the details together, which as we are reading over your email for the first time, catches our attention more fully, and makes it easier to get a reply when we have time to compose a messege back. We are much more likely to be interested in working with a family who has enjoyed learning about us through our website and shows a sincere effort to give us all the details & help us feel comfortable in working together towards the same goal of a happy family!
Sometimes a flood of emails come in, and your email may have gotten pushed back to the next page. Feel free to resubmit your email if days or weeks have gone by, because it may have simply been missed. We do try to go back and review these, but please know that there can be days around here where there isn't a minute to spare, and then other days when we need to catch up on the web site updates or emails to many important inquiries, so don't assume we don't want to know about your possible home. If you believe you covered everything, but still do not hear from us after several days, you are welcome to try forwarding that previous email again! Patience is a virture, and we do notice virtues like these in families wanting to adopt & raise our babies.
There are also many times when we cannot get online out here in the beautiful country side... So we also appreciate & choose to work with families who are understanding & consider of all these various elements that can effect our ability to answer emails.
When we do catch a break to jump on the computer, (which is shared by everyone in the house for different tasks), if we are able to look over various emails to consider and we come across, for example, a lengthy email riddled with questions that we feel we have already adequatly covered, we may just have to skip that email in order to get back to others who have already put forth the time to thouroughly read over the website and answer the basic questions for themselves, taking advantage of their resources and showing that they would be a responsible & diligent parent, and we just hope that if one of the skipped inquiries are seriously interestered in getting a beagle that offers much more to the home as a loving companion than those you can generally find as an easy sale in the paper, the person will in the meantime revisit our website and learn more about these darlings & how everything works, plus what we like to hear before we can begin communcation about getting a family raised puppy.

(You know all about our family, pets, home, and more in detail, and I mean really in detail! lol, there is so much to us that our dedication & experience can't really be repeatedly shared in the confines of an email, thus the website is your Sunshine Acres family handbook! So far, we know nothing about you, until you share what would make you and your family the perfect home for one of our furry family members.)

In a Hurry? Honestly, we dont hurry the process to make a "sale", unlike many any other business out there. We and we alone decide who we want to have our sweet little babies... so of course after hand raising them in our home, we like to get to know people via e-mailing to be sure they are the type of home and family we hope to find for our sunshine babies, so patient people who know how to nicely nudge us to respond to their requests win out in the end... I figure they would make better parents for my babies anyway in the long run and be happier and better long time customers over the years staying in touch with us and sending updates, referring their friends & family, and so on...

Sometimes we get rush e-mails that request a puppy by the weekend etc.. Shipping out of state for example, takes some preparation... a vet visit to clear them to fly, the arrival of your ordered items you choose online from jeffers or petsmart- crate etc to send the puppy, considering what days of the week the courier is available, as well as the customer and so on..

I judge alot by how people react in their e-mail contacts, finding the "right" pup should be more important than finding one right away.. and having to deal with it for the next 10-15 years if it wasnt the "right" beagle ! Unfortunately, impatient people find out too late after they have purchased a puppy who grows up to be a hunting dog , not a family member, elsewhere. And every time it runs away to hunt , or bayes at the moon... and drives the neighbors crazy all night, sheds long fur all over their furniture year round... or whatever traits we have worked years to selectively minimize, or delete, from our bloodline versions of the breed to make a better housepet companion, they must wish they had slowed down a bit and waited for the Pet Variety Beagle they really wanted from us!

We prefer to communicate with those who are sincerely serious enough to seek out the informative topics they desire which we have already provided, without expecting us to, say, attach pictures of every single little puppy that might be of interest them, detail the prices for the various sizes and colors that we have, individually explain whats the difference in those preferences (size/color), who the momma was ect, taking time away from the obviously more important things involved in hand raising family-oriented companion beagles. We just can't write back to every single person who asks the same generic questions every single day, we wouldnt be able to get anything else done and therefore the quality of our puppies would suffer. This is why we have made a website to do this part for us, and for you. Its also why we keep our website up to date & as helpful as possible so that its all easily accessed by the many people across the nation who have fallen in love with our hombody beagles & our mission to make sure they all go to wonderful homes that we feel comfortable with & to see a perfect match for each forever home.

All in all, families' emails to us can be a test as to whether or not we feel that you are sincere in your commitment to becoming a part of our sunshine family, and whether we want to work with you towards being able to adopt one of our babies who will learn from your environement & become a member of the family... therefore making you part of our family for the years to come!

We have an ongong relationship for many years to come, as our best customers send photos, and updates of how their baby they adopted from us (their first home) has become the love of their life! So of course we are somewhat selective and most apt to choose those who convey a good attitude towards our family, and a responsible nature to take advantage of everything we have to offer.
