We enjoy seeing our sunshine acres beagles again and offer boarding when their families need to travel.

Our customers can be sure that while they're on their trips & vacations, their beloved companion beagle gets his or her own little get-away at Sunshine Acres, coming back to the home they were born in!

We hang out in the house when them as they lounge around, play with the kids, socialize with our puppies & play with our other beagles throughout out our large fenced in backyard, hanging out on the porch and running down the open trail!

The kids and I love visiting with our former favorites when they come to stay.

Pampered pet boarding $15 per day

Over the years many of our customers have told us the fact that their dog is able to come visit us again and enjoy a sort of mini vacation of their own while they travel is very important to them.

We love having our pups come back, and get to see how nicely they have turned out... we have families who say they travel so much it would be hard on a dog if they didn't have us to come to, knowing that if they went to a "Kennel" to board their house pet, it wouldn't be an enjoyable experience for thm to hear all the barking dogs caged all around them and not have a nice soft bed, or their own crate to sleep in !!

We only board for our Sunshine Acres pups not the public,
so its like a small reunion for the kids and I to see our babies come back !

One of our customers who brought their pup "Brandy" out of "Trooper" to board with us said they had gone to several different boarding facilities to check them out .. One very expensive one $99.00 per day, claimed to be "suites".. they were actually cages, and the family just couldn't imagine putting their sweetie in a cage for two weeks while they went to Hilton Head, and Disney World. They asked whether the employees walked the dogs., "no.", "and so where do they go to the bathroom?" the employees lifted a door they laughingly called "the Guillotine", so the dogs could go out onto a grate to use the bathroom on a wire floor.!!

Brandy's mom said "I looked at all those sad faces and wanted to just run through there and unlock all the cages.. and say 'Your free , Your free!!', just like on the movies!"

He loves being free to run around and play outside with our pet Grace rather than being stuck in a cage in a boarding kennel ...

He gets to sleep in his own familiar crate at night right next to Grace so he feels safe and happy in familiar surroundings where he knows everyone. Recently he stayed with us for a week while his folks take another trip, this time skiing in Utah, last time a trip shopping to Atlanta and visit relatives there.

They thanked us for watching their boy for them, and brought us each something from their trip to Atlanta.

We love it when our boarding dogs families go shopping...

especially when they include the kids and I in their trips !!

If your family plans to go away let us know, we will be happy to baby sit your pet, just bring a few favorite things,

Their crate,
a bowl,
food,
and a toy or treat if you like so there is something familiar for them to play with.

Let us know if they like to sleep with you, the kids will share a spot in their bed !!

3 of our sunshine acres beagle boarders were here staying with us over the Christmas holiday, while their families traveled.
mini tri Irma, standard Lucy, & larger standard Oliver had a blast hanging out on their own mini vacation here while their families travel for the holidays.

Irma and Lucy have both stayed with us before while their owners traveled .. this is younger Oliver's first visit back home to see us !

We had a Cozy Christmas here at home with our puppies, beagles, and boarding sunshine beagles. Thanks to those of you who have been sending cards thus far! We love the pictures & updates, and greatly appreciate those Petsmart cards, and the Iams & Eukanuba UPCs! You guys are wonderful!
(As a breeder, we can receive special coupons to help with all the dogfood we use daily
by collecting up UPCs & sending them in!)

(tricolor Oliver is the largest standard beagle of ours we've seen, from our 2 largest adults Daisy & now retired "Luke")

He & beagle-friends hung out with Christi, Jake, & friends David & Kathy in the living room by our fire over New Year's Eve

Whenever they go out of town/ on vacation, Macy gets to come back to our house and hang out!

It's like living vicariously through our customer's road trips !!
what fun for us !!

Bailey's Mom went to Paris for a month, so she drove him back up from Atlanta to stay with us, then flew to France out of Charlotte! She brought French Chocolates, and souvenirs of the trip back to the kids and I to say thanks for taking care of her boy so well for her.
Her fiance' recently told a friend about us and that it is well worth the drive here to get one of our beagle puppies... luckily for him my sister has a tri male for him and we planned to meet him when we picked her pups up in Atlanta so he didn't have to drive up !

Otis' new family in New York sent t-shirts and a cap for the kids to thank them for letting him stay here till they returned from a vacation in Mexico... neato !!

Emergency Vet Clinic in Matthews brings the kids and I Vegas T-shirts when she goes for a training week out there !

Gosh I love this Job !! folks are so good to us !

Yum!! when Brandy got to come stay with us while her folks went to Niagara Falls they brought us back this fresh Maple syrup from the area... ! That is so much fun getting things from different vacation spots for the kids and I .
We really appreciate the generosity of our customers !

The two gals who own "Colby" came back to get him a playmate this summer while both were on teacher's summer vacation time. They brought us a gorgeous framed picture of their Blue Beagle purchased from us the prior summer..

They say he loves living on the Lake and wanted to find him a pal to hang around with while they are in classes next yr.

Fetch CoCo!

cute little silver pup "Finley" arrives for a quick stay while his new mom heads to DC for an Environmental Impact meeting there with her work. She called the day before her trip saying her vet had told her 10 weeks was too young to board there, luckily we were more than happy to have the adorable fellow back for a visit.

We think it is really beneficial for new owners to bring back their pups after the first few weeks so we can work with them on training their new pet.

when he arrives he meets Otis who is also here boarding at the time, and Grace our pet outside for some fun in the sun... they have a great time playing together then Finley comes in to show me the bag of goodies his momma sent along...

he gets to pull some of his favorite toys out and show me and play with...
