20 years of experience has gone into developing our exclusive house pet variety beagle bloodline. We continue to develop our beagles' luxurious coats & stunning colors, and overall family-oriented wonderful companion pet traits in our pure bred beagle bloodline. Since our pets are not allowed to go into any breeding programs & are purely for those looking to raise up a companion beagle with exceptional traits to be just right for an indoor pet, only we have this unique and exquisite companion pet bred & raised bloodline. We are not breeding for hunting abilities & mindset, and rather than simply focusing on show worthy looks, we aim to improve our beloved beagles in all areas for the pet-home. Our beagles are a result of our 19 years experience selectively breeding for wonderful homebody & indoor housepet qualities, handpicking puppies that time after time we (Miss Christina, & kids: Christi & Cody) were impressed with, and just had to keep for ourselves to enjoy & reproduce for others to love! We start them off right, hand raising our babies from birth, and bringing our infants into the comforted and loving family atmosphere from the start. We tend to their needs with all our time, guidance, & the best we can offer, just as we expect from the devoted pet homes they go into, once they're ready to bond & begin learning their forever pack order & household rules. The nature of our homey, family raised puppies really makes a wonderful difference as they go into their responsible & approved pet homes. As an approved adoptee, you can learn from our years of experience, and then follow our Guidance as your take over raising your new family-oriented sunshine beagle baby, and shaping them into your very own unique Companion Pet! Young Couples, Singles, Empty Nesters, and Families from across America have become addicted to watching our beagles and babies, and tune in daily for their dose of cuteness, meanwhile expanding their knowledge about these special companion beagles! To begin the search for your very own beagle puppy, begin reviewing our sections for helpful info, & look at all our Current Pups shown on the Current Litters page further below. Our Sunshine Process: |
||
|
We love each one of our babies, and finding the right homes to properly guide their development into wonderful pets is important to us. Harmony is valuable for everyone. By first learning about the families who come to us, and the unique homes that they are offering for one of our babies, we can feel comfortable in moving forward and helping create balanced happy family matches for our beagles and customers. With the keys to success provided throughout our exclusive Guidance pages, the new puppy parents responsibly raise their very own learning puppy. By first establishing them as a part of the human pack order, and forming good indoor pet habits from the very start, they are able to reach their happy potential as the perfect match for their unique pet homes! You can directly raise your new attentive Baby Sunshine Acres Beagle into your harmonious & responsible family member, for years of enjoyment with the perfect companion pet for you! |
||
| Are you Smitten? | ||
|
We see a variety of desires from our potential families since our bloodline has so many unique & beautiful characteristics to love. Because of this diversity, we can often consider new interests as an appropriate match for one of our Available Puppies. If you're ready for a puppy and are smitten with an available baby you can ask us about approving your household as our baby's potential home, and if approved you may be able to claim him or her with your deposit to hold your baby off the market until you can either come out soon to meet with us and welcome home your new darling (Afternoons/evenings that week or a weekend trip for the fam!) or have your baby fly home via the PetSafe program. If you don't see an Available puppy in the color(s), size(s), gender or whatever really steals your heart, many of our families ask to get themselves pre-approved for a puppy from us so that they can have the choice to claim a matching baby whenver everything works out just right. Our Puppies are offered to pre-approved matches first before we can consider new inquiries as a current match- so holding your spot in he line of decisions is always a good idea! Learn all about our family & our beagles, and once you have decided you'd love to add one of our darlings to your household, you can then introduce yourself & household to us, and seek our help in finding & raising your very own companion pet, whether you're ready for a puppy as of now, will be soon, or are looking forward to sometime in your future. |

Enjoy reviewing our educational & delightful Beagle Website. When you feel your search is over & you've found our family to be the home you'd like to adopt your lifelong companion pet from, the sure way to hold your position in the line of inquiries from our new possible sunshine beagle families, is to join the waiting list for our help matching you up with the puppies you're looking to find, so you can be on your way towards raising your own Sunshine Acres Companion Pet. Want to know More? Take advantage of years of experience and knowledge!
Our Website
is here for the benefit of you We've developed an in-depth website over the years, for families across America to reference & learn from, taking the right steps towards a successful addition to their family, while we fulltime care for our babies here at home and work to make appropriate matches happen with those who are ready for the commitment! To be considered & approved for a Sunshine Acres Beagle puppy, we expect to see sincerity & commitment to successfully adding a puppy to your household. Demonstrate your patience and attention by first reading our informative website topics to learn about all of those important adoption details ahead of time, so we can successfully proceed in helping you find & raise the right beagle pet! We are a small family- a single Mom & her 2 kids caring for our beagles. We are not a pet store, so please be understanding that our beagles & pups are our priority, not sales. We take our time to know who we are talking to before feeling comfortable in moving forward, and we do not have a "customer service" line, where an employee's time-on-the-job would simply be focused on "selling puppies" or trying to "make a sale". Instead we have taken the initiative to compile all of our years experience, giving you an extensive website to take your time finding out all about us before telling us about you and moving forward! We choose to devote our time to our beagles and family, meanwhile offering the joy we've found in our rare companion pets to those families who understand our mission, where we are coming from, and appreciate our time that is given to our beagles and the many responsibilities around here as we raise family oriented beagle puppies the right way! These preferred customers care to seek out all those important details they desire via this website that we have put together for that purpose, and exhibit their patience, attentiveness & perseverance- qualities needed to succesffuly adapt a new puppy into the household! We keep this page & current puppies updated, because we realize we need to expect our most desirable customers to rely on this current & detailed information, rather than expect us to individually update each random emailer with those new pictures & what's going on, wasting precious energy repeating various info about our beagles. Please take advantage of our years of descriptions, before contacting us to avoid asking questions we've already answered in much more extensive detail and imagery, for ultimately better understanding.
Miss Chritstina's daughter
Christi devotes hours upon hours to the puppies as well as website
updates & pictures for everyone to see, and whenever computer time is
appropriate, usually focuses on these updates for everyone to see before
moving on to individual emails. We can more easily converse with those
who have taken advantage of the time we've put into compiling this
website for their benefit & appreciation. We understand that a first temptation upon finding our beautiful babies may be to skip the details, and simply write asking questions such as "what puppies do you currently have available?" or "I'm interested- Can you send more info?". However we hope that everyone understand that these unsupported inquiries only delay the process. If we receive emails that seem to have missed out on the efforts put into our website topics, we may skip those during our precious computer time & allow others who have already researched & are making that commitment towards raising a Sunshine Acres Beagle into their very own Companion Pet to move forward first, and meanwhile the random inquirer can take that time to return to our website & begin learning more before making any decisions and proceeding with the adoption process!
Note: If you've submitted your
details for pre-approval but we havent been able to respond, it may have
been lost in the shuffle that week, please be understanding and
patiently forward your email again so that we can see your sincereity
and help you move forward! This informative website has been created & written by Miss Christina and Chirsti, and 20 years of observations, experiences, and overall understanding have gone into creating this site. Expansive informational topics & adorable pictures have been piling up, and it is all here at your fingertips, here for you to pursue & access freely through www.sunshinebeaglepups.com/sunshineacresbeagles.htm ! |

update from the Morris family on Lady's Ruby!
" Christina,
Hello! I just wanted to
give you a quick update on little Ruby. She is adorable and we love
her so much. She is such a good little puppy. She is quiet,
obedient, and a quick learner. She was leash trained, potty
trained, and crate trained nearly immediately. We could not be more
satisfied with her. I take her on walks in the evenings and every
person driving by slows down and stares at her. Kids run up to us
and ask to pet her and adults smile at her and comment about
how small and cute she is. Ruby is the light of our lives and we
love to spoil her. She curls up with me every night on my pillow
and rests her head on my neck or shoulder. Our kitty thinks she's
great, too - they chase eachother and play all them time. Ruby is
content to let Pumpkin think she's still "Queen" of the house. I'm
attaching a couple recent pictures of her so you can see how much
she's grown. Thank you so much for allowing us to take her home.
She truly is the most precious little puppy and she's a perfect
fit for our
family. The last photo is of my mom, Kayla, and the "grandpuppy."

Saturday:
Dana had emailed us to say how she fell in love with the chocolates on our website, she already had an older fixed tri boy named "Elvis" ,who needed a friend to play with...and let us know what time frame and gender she would like to adopt a new beagle and even though she didnt see one on the available grid, ( we just hadnt had time to add a picture of her...) we happened to have just what she was looking for so she mailed her deposit to hold her , and picked her up this weekend so she could get to know her new baby before the University started up for Fall Classes !
Carla's "Claire" was adopted by Debbie a nurse from Monroe ! She had wanted a little older pup so it could keep up with her beagle who loved to play , after loosing a rescued beagle who's life was cut short due to medical problems, as well as learn to go up and down her stairs and use her doggie door, Claire was all that and in the gender and coloring she liked ! She had already been using a doggie door here, and had the wonderful shorter khaki coat and gorgeous light eyes she liked !

Babette's Mater!
Ember's khaki babies! Hi Miss Christina and Christi and family, A quick note to tell you that the two khaki puppies arrived safely, with tails wagging in Rochester at midnight. Although the photos on your website are great, these little guys are even more gorgeous in real life. And so affectionate, too. They did their hurry ups without any mistakes. We played with them a little when we got home, and then put them to bed. They whined only for a few moments, and then fell asleep. They ( and Max and Zoe) are still sleeping peacefully. What a wonderful gift in our lives. Max and Zoe are so thrilled and happy. Me too. Thank you so much for your work to raise and to match the puppies to appropriate families. I’ll send a picture in the next day or two. Again, thanks, Stephanie
Miss Christina and Christi are heading to the Charlotte Douglas International Airport today to deliver Ember's pair of khaki pups going to NY. , Silvia's khaki boy going to Tampa, and Babette's Nano Tri boy going to Canada !
Its a big day for us here with so many little ones heading to their homes in such far away places but we know Continental's PetSafe Program will do a super job handling them with TLC as always ! They even use airconditioned Pet Transport Vans to move the live animals to and from the Planes so they go right into a conditioned compartment for animals onboard for their comfort and well being ! In the old days when animals went by Cargo with other airlines they wouldnt ship on hot summer days like these since they had to sit and wait on the tarmac with the boxes going in cargo holds.. and be moved by open baggage carts to the cargo areas of planes... we feel so fortunate to have found and qualified to have "Known Shipper" Status with Continental nowadays and get Priority treatment from their wonderful staff! they even have nice rocking chairs out front for us to hang out with the babies while they wait for their flight !
has been adopted by his new home! " I will get some pictures gathered together of him and bella! They are so funny together! I will also send in pic’s of him at the beach next week! He is sacked out sleeping on my bed with my younger one using him as a pillow watching Disney! Melissa"
I just wanted to say thank you again!! We are having a blast with
chance! I attached a picture of him curling up on the back of a chair
last night about 1030, poor little guy was soo tired!! He played and
played with the girls in the backyard when we got home!
Babette's tiny Mini and Nano's are ready to go home now!
Babette's tiny Nano " Mater " in the middle is going home to Canada this week !!

" Hi Christina, Truffles Chocolate Mini Girlie has been claimed by a waiting list family the Soda's !
( here she meets currently available khaki boy "Azure" ) ____________________ Peg Pike and her family are very happy campers!
Hi Miss C. and Christi,
Star is such a peach! She
is doing wonderfully. She and I both had a big day on Saturday but
she seems to have gotten her bearings (based on the good job she is
doing eating, drinking water, peeing, and pooping!). I really
enjoyed my (short) trip to your beautiful state. Although I was
tired, I felt more comfortable seeing where Star was born and
meeting her loving caretakers. I just did not feel comfortable
having you put her tiny self on a flight, although I understand that
the services are very careful and I am probably being a little
silly.
One of my
biggest concerns was how my 8-year-olds would handle her. They have
been terrific....they really get the CALM, ASSERTIVE manner. It is
now our family motto. The kids gently take Star into their laps and
she just cuddles up and snoozes while they read or just sit. She
has a calming effect on the whole family. The kids are also working
diligently on training her. Yesterday, they were all able to have
her 'sit' on command using a kibble. I know that you prepared her
well for that but they feel confident and successful when they are
able to get her to sit for them.
I was also
preparing myself for a few days of 'baby crying' as Star became
accustomed to life without her littermates. Although she did some
minor crying the first night (before falling asleep and upon
waking), she was quiet and content yesterday. We have a set-up
similar to yours however, the 'play area' that Star
occupies allows her to see out of all sides. We have it in the
kitchen/kid's playroom area where there are people around most of
the time. As long as she can see us, she is perfectly happy. It is
also big enough for the children (and me!) to get in it with her.
She has plenty of roaming room without having the run of the house
and the dangers of things like stairs. She went to sleep at 9:30 pm
and we did not hear a peep from her all night. When I went to her
play area this morning, she was awake and playing with her
toys...quietly! When she saw me, she squeaked with excitement but
did not cry upon waking alone! She is just amazing! She is aptly
named: she is a Star....everyone adores her! We literally have a
list of people just waiting to come and see her.
If you
have someone who is interested in one of your babies and would like
to speak to another happy customer, I will definitely provide a
reference. Everyone is madly taking pictures of Star and the family
and I will send you a few for the 'Happy Families' pages when I get
a moment.
Josh, Jake, Livie, Stella and Star Alwitt + Peg Pike
Peg flew down rented a car and came out to meet us and take home her new lemon girlie to Boston... she surprised us with a card full of cash and said to use it as we needed.... I"ll say it again we have the most wonderful and generous extended family of beagle lovers in the World , and they truely make our job a joy , knowing each is going to be well cared for and so loved in their new home by folks like Peg and her kids !
Miss Christina and kids wish to thank everyone for their patience in contacting with us over the past couple weeks , as both kids are busy applying, taking placement tests , and now registering for Fall Classes !! Hey sunshine gang!
Audrey just had a vet
appointment yesterday and we found out she's 9.8 lbs now. My little
girl is growing us so fast. She loves to play and she's learned how
to sit, laydown, paw and situp. She's also taking a puppy class and
is doing great and learning everything well! I believe she is the
smartest in her class not to mention the cutest, she seems to be
very popular. She loves people so much and dogs just teh same! She
doesn't care how big the dog is she will go right up to them and
sniff and say hey!
I still check the site
constantly to get my dose of puppies. It's pretty exciting you will
have 2 more lemons in this new litter of puppies :) Can't wait to
see who will end up with the new cuties!
Also attached some new
pictures!
Monday: the Bowman's drove up from Fla. to pickup their two boys: "Tango", and Belle's silver boy to join their family.
Their current beagle "Turbo" was so lonely since his longtime buddy "T-bone" had passed away in May and they wanted to give him some new friends to heal his heart. They asked us for an older puppy "Tango", who could be friends with an older adult lemon beagle right off the bat.. he was one of our Christmas Litters , ( in order to be confident we had enough for everyone to go around - we've never failed to have pups for all our families in line for X-mas.. - we only accepted a certain number of deposits for that timeframe..) everyone in line got the pup they wanted , we even had a few extra.. ( Finely, Tango and sis Buttercup,{ all 3 now adopted ) there were a few sweeties the kids enjoyed having around so
much we just held onto them knowing just the right folks
would come along for each of them and they have all found perfect fits
for their new homes.
As they loaded up to head back home we saw Turbo give a nose kiss to his new buddy Tango,
they left for a friends house in Beaufort SC. on the coast so they could show off their new babies !! we knew all was going to be good for our boys in this very special couples happy home ! Sunday Father's day: "Babette" our mini 1st time mom has delivered her litter of 5 mini Tri'. boys and girls, and 1 Silver mini male puppy !! ............................ Jake and Christi got up early and took Midnight's Silver Nano boy "Wiggles", to fly home to his new Dad today !! Miss Christina, and son Cody were here watching over as Babette gave birth !
"Wiggles" ( silver boy on right ) and available khaki brother "Azure" on left. Saturday: The Broome Family came to pick up Sunny's son "Paws " who had come
to stay with us while his family vacationed last week... ("Paws " plays in the office with his favorite toy from home...)
.....................................................
( "Kona" plays with toys with our tiny full grown khaki Nano boy by kiki " Happy" ! ) the Pooles came to pick up Brandys son "Kona" who was here while his family attended a funeral. We love spending time again with our beagles as the grow up in their families ... the kids have a great time with them and it really seems like they know us no matter how long its been since they were here being hand raised in our home as a puppy , so thats fun for us ! Friday: Brandys silver girl's new mom and dad the Halsey's came to pick her up to come join their little family, they have a nice kitty already . Meanwhile Jake and Christi drove 3 puppies to the Charlotte Douglas International Airport to fly home to their families ! Sunday: Frequent boarder "Coco" went home with her family who had
been vacationing in Hawaii ... she really seems to see this as her
second home and loves to come for visits with the kids and I !! ( here she hangs out with Jake as he looks on the internet via laptop ! )
yum they brought us milk chocolate macadamia nut candy and Kona coffee from the Big Island... we love it when we get to live vicariously through their travels like this !! LOL . Monday : Brandys chocolate standard sized boy went home with his new dad today ! since his wife had to work , he brought along a neighbors son
who helped him on the trip ! they came with fresh newspapers ... something we cant get enough of at Sunshine Acres ...since we use them daily here while we raise our Indoor housepet Beagle Puppies ! we appreciated them thinking of saving them for us to use paper training our babies !! William had mentioned helping us figure out our internet access troubles and while he was here we talked over the best ways to fix our recent problems... we hope to put his suggestions into action this week and make contacting folks easier soon.. ( we used to use multiple computers on our wireless verizon card till a lightting hit disabled two of our desktops wireless recieving devices, so now we plug directly in to use the website desktop for updating the site but can no longer access the internet on the other laptops wirelessly simultaniously in the house, making it so we have one computer at a time going...christi used to write emails and upload pics at the same time on two computers, now it is do one thing or the other..) we apprecated his help so much, and how our big extended ( LOL ) family cares about us, and wants to help with their expertise whenever possible.. for a single mom with no "Man of the House" ... the tasks can be a bit daugnting to say the least at times.. its so nice to feel there are folks out there who aprreciate the work the kids and I do here to raise their new family members and want to pitch in whatever they can do to make it easier on us to do what we know how to do best... make beagle buddies for others to enjoy ! ```````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` The Underwood family from Summer Key Fla. came to pick their two rare colored beagle girls up to take back home...
they stayed overnight in our area so the family got to go shopping in South Park Mall in Charlotte, their two daughters said they dont really have Malls on the Keys so they have to travel to Miami Fla. to go shopping to avoid the tourist items the keys sell mainly for vacationers. the family brought us so many neat items from south fla. fresh Key limes to bake a Key Lime pie with... Key Lime coconut Patiies drenched in chocolate.. so good !! key lime jelly beans, and T-shirts from their home in Summer Land Key Florida !! ( also a really nice beagle mug for miss C. to enjoy some "hair of the dog" Hemingway coffee from key west in !! LOL ! ) Miss C. grew up in Miami and West Palm Beach fla so it was neat to talk about some of her favorite things.. snorkeling on their reefs .. Grouper Burgers, and Conch Fritters to folks from the keys ! Brought back many fond memories ! Sunday: this am. we did something we rarely do... we had the Vana family come from up North to pick up their puppy "Ollie" early in the am.
normally in order to get all our chores done here before we begin meeting with customers we set appts after 1pm. but they had made special arrangements to come now when their pup was ready to begin bonding with his new family... vs in a few weeks when their kids were out of school... so we appreciated their working with his timing and ours and had a very early morning here... they surprised us with Breakfast from their area...
Yum ! New York Big Bagels and cream cheese of various kinds to go with it, and Starbucks coffee !! What a treat... the kids and I gobbled them up ! they brought such a big bag full , and so many kinds of spreads we
have had several great morning starts on our work with the dogs and
puppies thanks to their generosity and thoughtfulness.. we love that folks see that we are sharing what we do here in North Carolina with them to take home to their part of our great country.. so they want to share some of their world with us too !! , it means so much to us for our friends and family of Beagle Lovers to expand each day with new and interesting souveniers from our friends we now call part of our Beagle Pack of sunshine acres beagle parents !
this coming Saturday Miss C's son Cody graduates from Central Academy of Technology and Arts... class of 2010 !!
( Cody on right with a buddy saying goodbye)
we appreciate those who have mentioned congrats to Cody !! several folks have mentioned their own seniors graduating too... we send a Big Congrats to all of you for all the years of hard work ! we have had a time trying to get online lately our network of computers use a wireless Verizon card , it all came crashing down last week and with the service depts help we can now use one computer at a time , no longer multi tasking as we add pics to the website , doing emails on the lap top ... boo hoo... so things will be slower around here but we will keep staying up late at night to get it all done if thats what we have to do..till a solution is found to get all our computers up and online at once again...thanks for your patience everyone we will get back to you soon as we can..!! A GREAT Big thanks to the Nadeau family
who asked us what would be on our wish list... if we had one.. ( baby -puppy registry ) (we may make one up now, since others ask what they can do to help us out on raising up their baby beagle here in our home, their 1st home:) they fufilled our most immediate needs and the kids and I are
a large bag of Esbilac milk replacement powder to help us nurse pups, and wean them from their mothers milk while we transition them to canned eukanuba, and then, that and dry small breed euk. puppy food mixed together with this powdered milk for the additional nutrients it provides we think makes the cutest puppies possible
(eve's boys they are adopting)
our faithful beagle loving viewers must agree ! they also amazed us with 2 of the small breed 20lb puppy food bags and toys .. wow you all are awesome !! thank you so much all of you who send us helpful things like this that go into the making of your future family member ,
there was also a toy for Maisy's orange runt girlie to play with and little duck toys for the littermates to enjoy !
like the Petsmart Gift card toy and treats the Spaids sent us to help out..
we used in Carla's pups background... one was of Cars... so carla got those...!!! , and Iams biscuits (Tracy helped herself to.... one morning while we made coffee and breakfast) and she was visting her kids in the office..) as she gradually weaned her puppies from her milk .. .they got done eating and she looked around in the office and decided that box with biscuits sitting there on top of sheets... must be for her to enjoy...? it said it was for the hardworking mommies ! she fed them , now it was her turn right ???? ......................................................... and the 40 lb bag of Iams adult dog food the Oustz brothers brought us when they picked up their sibbling pair Saturday, ............................... Newspapers again in the nick of time.. saved for us since April.. the white pages without the slick stuff.. & Iams biscuits , the Moore kids brought us when they picked up Tracys brother pair on Friday..
it really really means alot to us to have the best right there on hand as we do our best to make them adorably cute, and healthy little furry kids to go into your home and fit right in like they are meant to be there with their new family... someone once said ...Miss C. I love that you wont just sell one of your babies to "Just anyone" , you screen them to be comfortable with a life long relationship as your baby grows up in their capable hands. so true we will hold onto a puppy till we know the family they would best fit in with, comes along and asks for them ! Finley has found his match and has now joined his forever home with Jon!
" Miss C and Family-
Finely has made it home, he is fed, did his “hurry-up” and is chewing on a bone while sitting next to me as I type! He slept most of the car ride home and mom was happy to have him snuggle up next to her. What a happy Puppy!!
Thank you so much for
spending the afternoon with us and letting me bring home such a
great pal! I know that Kristen and my mom had a great time and I’m
sure they will enjoy Finely along with me. I’ll keep you updated
on his development- my principal wants me to bring him to school
tomorrow, but I’ll probably hold off on that for just a bit. My mom
and dad said they would stop by tomorrow while I’m at school, I’m
sure he’ll have a great day!
Thank you once again!
"
Jon Kinman Over the last 10 days we have been Boarding frequent visitor ( silly Lucy has us in stitches some days when we walk into the kitchen and look out on the deck...) she picks the funniest perches to hang out on from time to time.. !! )
we love having our beagles come back to stay here at their first
home again so we get to visit with them and they dont have to be in a
facility somewhere unfamiliar to them...
Lucy does this at their home too they tell us.. maybe she thinks she's a cat ! as the rain poured down yesterday eve I watched her stretched out in the living room in her own bed and crate not a care in the world napping ... and thought how different it would be if she were in a Kennel somewhere in a cement floored pen with chain link deviders... surrounded by other barking dogs who she didnt know ...
We only board occassionally and only for our beagles not the public so they get one on one fun here in our home... lots of our local customers tell us this fact played a roll in their choosing a Beagle Puppy from us - vs- a breeder who doesnt offer this option ! ( see more about Boarding here on pages ahead ) ......................................................... Summer Boarding at Sunshine Acres Beagles please let us know a week or so in advance whenever possible, and we want to ask a favor...please begin saving up your old newspapers ( just the white pages please) for us , we have litters on the way who will recycle them, LOL !! we promise to put them to good use papertraining the future sunshine beagle puppies we are expecting around here !! also we so appreciate folks who clip off their upc's from the Iams and eukanuba products your doggie is using and bring us those too... as breeders we can trade them in for more coupons to help with the 40 lbs or so we go thru a day here raising the doggies every one loves to peak in on in our home !
the Carter family from Pine Hurst NC. took home Sissy's silver sweetie with the Nike check mark on her back ... her name will be "Chloe" and she will accompany young female Golfer Lauren to her tournaments along with the families Jack Russell ! Happy Memorial Day Weekend to all who enjoy our Freedom in the Greatest Land ! Thanks to all the Vets who have given so much so we all are free not only in our land, but in many thankful others across the Seas .. we all salute you for uncommon valour. We live in the Land of the Free thanks to you ! our puppies are proudly : Made in the USA. !! The puppies moms and kids and I want to send along a big Thank You to Andy Wolfe for seeing our need for Iams biscuits daily to keep things going ... they are the new mom's very favorite thing to eat to keep their strength up while nursing little babies.. even though its not his timeframe to claim his own sunshine beagle puppy ( he plans to move from Vegas to Chicago first) he wanted to help out and mailed us a Petsmart Gift Card to use replinishing our suppy of food and treats to make lots of rich milk for the little ones around here ! Thanks so much for the thoughtfulness we surely do appreciate all everyone does to help the kids and I afford to care for all the mouths we have to feed and make the healthiest and cutest beagle babies we can for you all to enjoy watching grow up in our home with your participation in their well being as future adoptive families , the kids and I do our best to do all we can to make the whole experience wonderful and worth the wait for just the right matching baby indoor companion that you hope for !! It means so much to us to have involved new parents to Be thanks everyone ! Angela v. also made a huge difference in our day Wed. when we had coordinated having two brothers who both wanted sunshine beagles come from Buffort Sc. and Rock Hill to meet up at our home to meet the sibling boy and girl tri colored puppies they had picked out online .
( Ouzts Brothers and their sibling pair )
we discovered that morning that we had run out of Iams puppy and needed another bag asap to feed in time to have everything done for their visit , no one had a minute to run to town first before we fed , watered, walked , and washed each of the puppies in the litter in time for the families to arrive ... the Ups man had left a box and Jake thought of looking inside ... that very day we got a Gift box from the Vazquez family ( expectant parents to be on the waiting list currently) in it among other thoughtful things they sent along.. was a bag of Iams puppy small breed 20lbs wheew they saved the day for us around here and all the mommies and puppies got breakfast and ready to meet the gang !
thanks Angela you made our morning so much better ! Tues: christi and jake ran Carla to the vet for a c-section she had 6 cuties and all are doing very well now ! she had a rainbow of colors! pictures soon as we can get to it...!!! Sunday: For those of you who noticed the website wasn't up and running yesterday.. (I bet our loyal puppy addicts went through withdrawl symptoms!!) our website upkeep is funded by an account that is setup up to draw from the commissions we earn when our loyal customers purchase things from our links to Jeffers and Petsmart (found on our suggested items page) We so appreciate it when folks make their purchases for their pets using these , it gives daughter Christi a little income for all the work she does to keep the site updated...for all to enjoy our adorable baby beagles growing up here... and pays for our yearly domain name cost, and website costs when you do !! at the moment there hadnt been enough activity (orders placed lately) and the acct was empty so our auto renewal didnt go thru .. recenlty folks have chosen to purchase items at their retail pet stores and send their puppy care packages to us from home quite often vs ordering their things online from our links... we do so appreciate it , but it meant not much commissions building up from online sales... one of our claiming families pointed it out and we were able to use a different credit card to fund the expense and get back up and running for all to see and enjoy their daily " Puppy Fix" !! Kiki's Mini Litter arrived Sat. by emergency C-section at our wonderful Vets office in Lancaster !! she has 2 orange and white girlies and 2 khaki boys !!! Friday: Shipping little " Wrigley" home to the Grand Rapids airport today ,
Christi and Jake will be couriers for his trip to the Charlotte douglas airport. . Sunday : buttercup made it to her new home safe and sound ! Oh, Christina! Buttercup could not be more of a hit with the whole family! We had her out in the back yard with our senior beagle, Latte, and they are already starting to socialize a little! She loves on everybody and is so soft and sweet and wonderful that our hearts are already totally taken with this adorable baby. I didn't think she could be more compelling than her pictures, but they don't do her justice! She is without a doubt one of the prettiest little doggies I have ever seen, and being family raised has made her SUCH a love! Robert was taking pictures, so we will send some along as soon as we stop taking them long enough to download! I can't thank you enough. Her new parent's names are Jon and Sarah Sherman VanDeventer, if you want to add this to her update. I just wish we could have taken her brother, too! I will be in touch... I'm already in love. Meghan

"Buttercup" , has been claimed now and will be flying home Sunday ! Available Adult female Tri colored standard "Daisy" found a home see top of announcements !
Current mommie "Daisy" who's pups head to their new homes this Friday is now ready to find a great pet home herself !! she has done a great job again raising a litter for us and its time she find that one on one attention she loves . Ask for her in your subject line and we will go to your email , please go into detail about your home for a Retired dog , where she would sleep, ( she is crate trained) and your plans to walk her or Invisible fencing etc. she is trained on it already and could adapt easily. ( Daisy has now found a great home !!)
she was great off leash in our front yard and had no interest in heading to track animals in the woods all surrounding us .
she just wants to come back inside and hang out with the toys and people indoors ! she is one of the most playful girls we have seen , (most boys like toys and fetch etc. ) she loves it too !
Ruth went home Saturday, and her Litter is going home too , one remaining boy is flying home next Sunday to Bridgewater NJ., the rest have gone to join their new families! this tri girlie got to go along with "Ruth", back home to her family to stay forever more .
her chocolate girl puppy went home with Nicole ( Yolanda's daughter)
When we retired our dear Sally, her new owner Yolanda could see how much she loved and adored puppies in the office , jumping in the boxes and letting the weaning pups try to find milk where there could be no more.. Sally was fixed and retired and had nothing more to offer the cuties who just checked to see ... than her supervision of their play activity at the moment. but boy she loved letting them try anyway she loved puppies so much! Yolanda told miss C she wanted a puppy to come home to keep Sally Wally company..
( " Yolanda" and "Ruth" on their Organic Farm front Porch ) so we let her take our Morgan aka later known as "Ruth" once Yolanda adopted her...
back to their big Organic farm to live with Sallys family
Yolanda's daughters both enjoy ( Sally and Ruth ) being at their mom's house now alot they tell us.
We had thought of keeping her ourselves due to her gorgeous shiny jet black coat and how nice her personality was, but from time to time we find people who really stand out and we are sure we would love to work with more so we arrange to have them raise a puppy for us, like Yolanda , and once its had a litter for us it becomes their pet for life ! Sometimes like in this case Yolanda and her daughter are both getting one of Ruths puppy daughters, Yolandas tri girl ,and cbocolate Maple will be coming back just as her momie did to have them for us .. and them ! We love it the puppy gets one on one love and attention and care and later we might choose to keep a pup ourselves and keep that dogs specific bloodline going for us here.
( we only consider doing this with existing customers we know and like well ) big smile!! Carmen also went home to a young couple who had Corey her big brother already and were frequent boarding customers here with us when they traveled to his family in Austrailia,. She gets to come back one day too we are so excited by that prospect since Carmen too is from Ruths mom Electra so likely her pups will be just as cute !
After skipping her first heat Yolanda brought Miss Ruth right back to us and she was bred and got to come home for a few months . 60-63 days later she had her litter of colorful cuties at Yolandas house with Christi and Jake helping .. they had rushed to be there for the delivery . After all were safely in this world the kids got to go to the Beach and celebrate Christi's 20th Birthday down there !! ( thanks again to those who mentioned it in emails she really enjoyed that alot ! ) and thanks to those of you who patiently waited to hear back while she was away from the computer and then gently reminded her of what you were hoping to find and when etc. by forwarding your previous emails along too, and adding in more details as you read further and learned more about what we are looking for in potential homes to be taken as a serious inquiry.. We truely love to know all we can about our hopeful adoptive parents so we feel good about the great home we have found for each of our adorable babies to go into !
adorable " Tucker " by shelly has now been claimed and will be going to Lincolnton NC. his new owners know someone with one of our beagles who referred them to us . Wednesday D-bo now known as Virgil went home with Bette Jean and Richard ( pepper's humans) lol... she is the cutie who gained a fan base on u-tube for her antics as a puppy.. their son met her and wanted a chocolate boy to join his family so his mom stoped by =enroute from Penn. to their Florida home to pick him up and deliver him to her son who flew in from Africa where he and his wife are Diplomats in our Foreign service.
Daisy's babies are updated now on Playpen pages accessable to approved waiting list families to enjoy ...! Miss Christina and christi want to send a special thankyou to adoptive parents who send along treats for the moms, and puppies to enjoy...
(Punkins lemon girlie's things ) Audrey's goodies
and toys so the sibblings scent can already be on
them from their first home here with us.. when they come home to a new
place. ( toys Yolanda sent to give "Ruth's " babies to take home )
as you can see above ... Daisy's litter are really lovin having this blankey to sleep and play on here !! We especially wanted to say thanks for the coffee from Wrigleys folks they got thru their church and :
( Land of a Thousand Hills ) boy has this been enjoyed by us when we have such up=side down hours during birthing and those first few all nighters we pull to be sure all is going well for the moms with newbies ! besides being the BEST tasting coffee weve had ... its really special since it is for such a good cause ! thanks yall !!
The Williams family sent goodies for the pups and toys to play with for their orange and white girl this week...
Ps . a big OMG what a sweet surprise... goes to Punkins darker orange girl's new family who sent their payment in full in advance and an extra $50. for us to use to spoil the babies with !
Oh Boy says Sunny, and Shug ...mom has a handful of goodies for us to enjoy !!
thanks those look yummy Daisy says .
( here's what we decided to get with the extra $50. the Joynes family included in their final balance ... so we could get something for the doggies !! we loved this soft baby blanket and doggie bed in designer colors thank you sooo much for thinking of that...!)
We won't be meeting with folks this weekend, Christi's boyfriend Jake's dad is remarrying Saturday, Christi is going to be a photographer, and Jake is going to DJ and play the guitar he got for his birthday at his Dad's Reception afterwards ! Next week puppies will begin going home... from Ruth's litter,
and Ruth heads home with Yolanda , her adoptive mom who raised her for us, and daughter Nicole who is also getting a chocolate girlie from us and she gets to come home when its time and have a litter like her moma Ruth did and they can keep a puppy to keep her company too if they choose to , & for us to carry on their line of beagles.
New pics of Ruths being posted on the playpen page! We've been working with Ruth's darlings, preparing them to go into their forever homes soon! D-bo is going home Wednesday, the 5th and Thurs.the 6th Krista's boy is going home with her, that Sat the 8th Nicole takes home Maple her chocolate girl who will come back to have puppies with us when shes old enough one day , just as her mom Ruth did ! The Wiliams have claimed Punkin's Orange Female! Rondo is home safe and sound and they are in love!

Winning Pet Photo March 29 - April 4, 2010. Bella is a 9 week old "nano" beagle with loads of personality! Bella is loved by Mary Ann Kannan. Pet name(s): Bella looks like she won hers.... ! now lets help Ray above win his !!! We will be starting to meet with folks on Saturdays again more often now ! for the past month or so we've not had much going on with customer's coming out ... so few pups around here were old enough to go home since we had skipped most of our mom's heats over the colder months & we all took a little break for winters worst months , lately we have been busy with breedings for Summertime litters, and our Spring newborns, and Pregnant mom care, now our weekends are about to change just in time for Folks looking for Spring /
Summertime litters Weve been having litters that will be ready as soon as next Month ! May 1st and after " Ruth's " Litter can start going home. ( all claimed) Mother's Day Litter by Punkin can come home May 8th. ( 3 pups claimed now) May 16th Daisy's litter starts going to their new homes. ( all claimed now)
( sat. the 15th is son Cody's 18th birthday " no appts that day.) If this is your timeframe to bring home a Puppy let us know just this week several folks who just got approved and on the waiting list recently, were able to choose a puppy from the litters we have now, to go home soon ! some lines are satisfied now , and have no wait depending on preferences ( sizes, colors , and genders preferred) If you are traveling to our area to pick up your own puppy this spring.. there are lots of things to see and do and we have a travel page link to learn more about local attractions and History in our area while you family visits the South to bring home your very own hand raised Sunshine Beagle Puppy !
Monday: for some reason yahoo. emailing isnt working right. it sends when you hit reply or before you are done over and over, we will work on getting this right . thanks for your patience with us !
Sunday: We met with a young couple who have claimed "Ranger" one of shelly's khaki cuties today and he will be their new lil buddy and help them start their family together !
Off he goes to Ft. Bragg ! Saturday: a super special secret litter is arriving today !! the mommy of Christi's favorite lil tricolor pup "Jingle" and silver pups "Logan" & "Scooter" is having her pups... we are keeping Pick of Litter to keep this line going in our Bloodline! ( we will likely keep two sisters- one of which being a Jingle look-alike and the other being a logan look a like!) Belle had a tri girl we plan to keep, and a silver girlie we are keeping ( we love keeping two sibblings when we keep a puppy for our line improvement so they can keep one another company as they grow up and play around here ) There is also one Silver boy with a blaze too !
Thanks so much to Yolanda for sending goodies and gifts to Ruth's litter!! Monday: Three of Daisy's Tri boys have been claimed now... those in line keep your eye on the Its your Turn Section !! Hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break !! Hardy and Zoey went home this weekend to join their new families .
All is well with Zoey! Not a
peep last night and potty training has been perfect so far. She and
the cat are getting to know each other slowly. Zoey walked 1/4 mile
yesterday and attended a neighborhood BBQ. Many awwwwws were heard,
and she likes other dogs. She weighs 3 1/4 pounds today and seems
bigger than she did just 2 days ago! We will keep in touch. The

christi and jake took Percy to the airport Velveteen's last pup who is flying to his new home in New York today !!! Friday the kids went to the vet to get percys health cert done to fly out of state. Sat. after we met with a few folks taking home Autumns two last pups, and boarding dogs Coco and Mocha both went home , then the kids went camping over the weekend, and ran to the airport today, thanks for your patience with us getting back to new inquires Christi promissed to get back into the new requests to become an adoptive home to one of our beagle puppies soon as she can ! meanwhile some of you are showing your grace and ability to be patient and yet still pleasantly persistant with nudges to send info on getting in line. some havent been as patient and may just show their true state of mind and ability to handle situations . we judge alot by how folks handle things from the start as to whether or not we feel comfortable with a life long contact to the new families of our darlings ! hang in there theres lots to do and little time to be a 20yr old when you have so many emails stacking up ! LOL. It will all be worth it though as we are expecting litters that are about to be announced soon on an updated upcoming litters page ! we may even have a few secret litters we plan on keeping POL puppies from to announce soon... thanks to everyone for mentioning christi's 20th bday in your emails she really appreciated it and hearing how much you enjoy her work online both in her emails ( she concentrates on those already in line who are claiming their babes- 1st priority she says , and those wishing to become expectant parents as she has time. And all her work caring for pups and taking, and posting new pictures to the website as she revamps it to make it faster loading and easier navigation. btw: She does take the date Miss C. approves a home vs when you actually send in your deposit so no one looses their spot in line for a pup of their preferences ..As you can imagine there are different lengths of waiting lines depending on what you are hoping for so there isnt an easy answer there may be no one in a certain color, size , and gender preference line and 5 people in something more common request such as female tri color standard size . there can be no one in the line for orange standard size females etc. so if your options are open to more than one preference obviously you will have more pups offered sooner that you can claim or pass on..!
During Spring Break we got to watch Coco, and Mocha, both are frequent boarders with us, so much so they know each other already, and have lots of fun playing with each other and the other dogs and pups on the deck and in our huge fenced in backyard
funny thing was both families went to Orlando florida this time ! ( Miss C. really appreciated Coco's Humans bringing her back a snoopy t-shirt this trip !!! ) LOL !!
we have such wonderful families who share their experiences with the kids and I ! Daisy is in Labor, she kept Miss C. up and down all night crying
about wanting them to come on out... LOL ... ........................................................................ We also met with Tag's new parents the Inkapooles! Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness! They brought a stuffed soccer ball for the pupes, healthy goodies Organic Tea & Swedish Crispbread for Christi & fam, and Daim chocolate from their home country Sweden for the guys, and a beautiful centerpeice bowl for Miss C! They also brought Ginger snaps, which we've never tried before but thought they were yummy!! We really appreciated our time with them, and Christi was excited to talk about nutrition during their time here. (Tag has joined his new family the Inkapoole's from Tampa and they drove up to welcome him into their lives ) ........................................ We also met with Hardy's new family and helped them go over our tips so that their family can successfully raise their new baby boy together as a consistent pack, for their son Luke and the whole family to enjoy for the years to come! We were excited to have puppies joining their forever homes again. We slowed things down for the past month to give us and the momies a break during the last months of wintertime but now our breeding is getting busy again and pups are starting to pop out for Spring Time ! April 6, 2010 Today is daughter Christi's 20th Birthday !! she and Jake went out for Sushi and to use the Khols card she got from the Case family- Finally got just the right hat she's been looking for! lol a stuffed duck toy, and two little Snoopy's that were on Easter clearance, they were the perfect size for the puppies to enjoy!
thanks for that guys ! "Daisy" is acting like she may have her litter tonight !! we hope everyone out there had a veryHappy Easter from Sunshine Acres!!(Shelly's Nano Male send his love to his family the Coyles who just claimed him as their own!) (Ruth's Easter beagles! Chocolate "D-Bo" has been claimed by the Strattons who are diplomats in the foreign service. They are the son & daughter in law of Bette Jean who is the mommy of sunshine "Pepper" by Domino! )

"Hershey" &
"Reeses" have flown
home to the McCandless family! our Thanks to the Brown family who got two of Sandys
sisters recently
for referring the McCandless' to our beagle babies, and for all their generous gifts , toys , Treats , and Petsmart Gift card ! Miss C. is enjoying the "Doggerel" Poems about Dogs book Chyrise sent , and Christi says thanks for the journal to do her poems and stories in ! ................................. Their family said: Hello Sunshine Gang, I bought you guys a few things I thought you would enjoy, as a way of showing our appreciation for our beautiful baby girlies Miss Sandie, and Miss Sadie. You Guys provided an outstanding and memorable experience that will last us a lifetime !! thank you so much ! the Brown family !
Velveteens pups say goodbye as the gang is heading to new homes this week. Jake and christi got the two pups to the airport and checked in just in time to find out Ruth is in labor as they headed to get her... the older mercedes they were using had a tire that was going slowly down and they didnt even stop on the airport trip to fill it so they would make it in time for that flight that both pups were heading home on... Construction equipment on Hwy 521. had made things slow to one lane traffic and they prayed they could beat the clock, luckily as a known shipper when they arrived the wonderful staff took good care of them we have priority handling , we are not new comers, they know our couriers well , some of the staff there had worked for Delta previously (back when we liked them so much..) so it goes much more smoothly when our courier team arrives to send home a pet than a kennel who hasnt passed their in home inspection with flying colors as we did . All went well for Binkie and Stan who are shipping home via our friends at Continental Airlines Safe Pet Program at this moment we wish the new adoptive parents and family all the best as they raise their very own little beagle buddy with us helping along the way with tips and suggested care via our extensive site and contact as they progress into terrific ,"beagle companion dogs" with the tire suddenly going down today it was better to come back here so the kids got the Jeep once mom got home today and took off to hopefully be there at Yolanda's house to help deliver the litter tonight ! we arent scheduling any appts this weekend now. please ask us for a visit day next week if you had hoped to come out. Miss c is staying up round the clock watching over Allies newborns we will be available to visit our home and pups starting next Wed. Friday Christi and Jake drive down to pick up "Ruth" , who came back two months ago to be bred , we had made a special agreement with her new owners that she come home to have a litter so we could keep a girl to keep this special less shedding coat going in our line ! we cant wait to get her home and all set up in her whelping /birthing area in our home !!
Miss C. bakes up some brocolli/cheese and mushroom quiche and we bring little "Binkie" in to get her used to being around us while folks sit and talk and eat... she is very polite and calm and shows what a little lady she is while we sip our coffee and eat breakfast this am. socialization is a part of the training that benefits the pups most , we like to get them started here at home so they fit in .. she is a surprise for some little girls in New York and will be going for her Health Certs tommorow and flying home to her new family Friday ! We like to spend time with our babies before they leave us , we will miss this good girlie , but are confident we picked a good homelife for her to go into and thats what we enjoy most is knowing she will so so loved and well cared for ! "Hardy" Autumn's Chocolate mini male has been claimed by the Smith family!
All of Autumn's litter has now been spoken for.
Jake took Sienna's pair that will be flying home to their new family in NY. to the Vet office today to get their Health Certifications done to ship home on Friday ! Everything went well and they got a big thumbs up from the Vet to head home to the McCandless family ! Shelly has had her mini litter !! She has 4 khaki males- 3 Minis & 1 Nano!!
"Paisley" Sienna's Tricolor mini female with the flame on her forehead has been claimed by Kyle & Alissa! All of Sienna's litter has now been claimed!
the Lady who came out Wednesday to meet "Lancelot" fell in love and took him to surprise her hubby !
"He is already his little buddy. Following him all over the front yard."
what a pair, they match ! There currently are no lines for any of the remaining Available puppies, mention your favorite ones name in your subject line to get our attention ! thanks so much to the Brown family who have been soooo generous with us sending toys for the other puppies and dogs to enjoy, and just today another package arrived from them.. cant wait to look inside this one !...... ............................................................. We currently have Available puppies ready to go home to choose from with no Waiting line for this timeframe.. (these two would be good for children or a young couple just starting out with a first pet together.)
Brother and sister "Tango" and "Buttercup" are both available , they have already had all their shots done for you, and are sleeping in a crate ! Some of the currently Available Puppies we are looking for great matches for during this time frame... we do have lines for other times such as May and June homecoming dates... its a good idea to go ahead and get your home approved and a deposit to hold your spot in those lines if summer vacation time is your Preferred Time Frame to bring a new Beagle Puppy home to enjoy ! If you have a good home for a pup now : ask us to make a visit ,and meet them ! we are setting appts for saturday and would be happy to meet with you if your ready to take home a new best friend !! ....................... ( not many breeders have Beagle Puppies available this time of year due to the cold weather) in our area most are bred for Hunting enthusiasts and the majority of those are in outdoor cages which dont allow for the warmth that must be maintained to keep newborns alive, and thriving. Our home raised babies have heated pads under them and overhead heat lamps to keep a constant temp. so they can be raised. Often folks comment they have looked, and looked for pups, and we are amoung the only ones available in winter months. )
.....Sandy's "Pixi" khaki nano beagle girl has been claimed by Karen Richardson chairman of the Hi 5 Social and Gaming Network and her hubby Jon Rubenstein (daddy of the iPod & Palm CEO) !
Karen came out to our home Friday to meet with us again and fly home with her new lil baby girl ! Now they are getting their very own Palm-sized Pixi to join them in CA! .................................................................. Thurs.we took Pixi to get her Health Cert done to fly home on-board the plane to San Francisco Calif. her new mom Karen came back out to our home Friday to pick her up, and brought a gift card so Christi and Miss C. could go to Verizon and get one Pixie Palm, and get the 2nd for Free ! How fun we cant wait to trade in our Blackberries and have Multi tasking Abilities !! Awesome ! It snowed lightly here last week it was Not sticking to much but it looked pretty falling down.. We are keeping a Fire Going and staying warm inside our cozy home
Thanks so much to Lizzy's orange BERNIE male's new family who sent along his puppy care package now that he has been claimed by April and David from Durham NC!
they wanted us to keep some of their toys to share with other families when needed to send home a familiar item ... we loved that several folks lately have done this . ............................................
Will and Paisley also sent a box ahead with toys for the pups to enjoy and share !
we especially love to get these Iams puppy biscuits for the mom's and puppies !! thanks for the help making our pups soooo darn cute !
the Jones family Brought a box along with them to give to our doggies around here ! here they are meeting Miss C.'s sidekick "Grace".
One mom brought a birthday child as a surprise recently and they had no toys to give the little Silver puppy , luckily one of the sibblings in the litter had sent ahead toys to share and she was able to take a familiar scent of littermates along to her new home and family !
( off she goes to her new home with the toy she will remember from home )
What a great surprise Gift her daughter is soooo happy !! ................................. our thanks to Terry for all those fun toys he donated to us when he went crazy at the petstore he told us !! the begal's are his team so he gave our khaki boy a tiger to play with when he took his girl away from her brother !
what fun , he had had to give his beagle to an ex. wife and was anxious to spoil his new puppy to peices ! Domino's khaki boy who was still here when the sibblings had gone to their new homes was enjoying these fun goodies till his new family picked him !
Recently we are having trouble with Yahoo., somedays we write a letter and when we try to send it to someone it has error messages , and gives us trouble even saving the draft... several folks we thought we wrote have told us it didnt go thru... we are hoping this will be resolved soon.. please be patient with us ! Autumn's Litter a chocolate boy, a khaki boy , and a chocolate girl below.. ,
this family asked to come meet us and leave a deposit to join the waiting list for a puppy last weekend. they told us they wanted to see our Beagles because all the Beagles neighbors have had or they've seen that arent ours are just crazy they laughed..! They loved the idea of why we breed... for Family Companion Pets only.
As it happened they narrowed down their preferences to a chocolate mini girl with a Blaze on her face and we had a pup who just matched this ! Christi looked up the waiting lines for that and there wasnt anyone for this timeframe so they were able to claim their favorite chocolate mini from the available girls we showed them .
we are keeping her orange and white girlie under consideration for helping us breed mini orange pups something we dont have often...
We just love having all different types of Beagles ! Christi and Jake took Sandy's two Khaki mini sisters to the Charlotte Douglas International today to fly into to the Newark airport . Their new family has 6 kids and they are out of school for Break right now so it was perfect timing to claim these two cute babies to join their family ! Chyrise sent an update!!
I can't find any words to
describe these baby girls. The pictures don't do them any justice at
all they have an outstanding color. I didn't imagine they would be so
tiny. The wait was so worth it. I'm glad we were patient even though
it was a very hard thing to do. Thank you for giving us this
spectacular experience. All our appreciation for all you do --- the
brown family
Miss Christina and kids want to thank the Wallace family who have claimed Sienna's chocolate girlie with a blazed face-
for sending their Puppy /People Care package they sent this week !!
We just love the little beagle statue and
have it sitting on a shelf in the office now ! the family also sent us a Petsmart Gift online, we are excited to be going shopping for the doggies with some of our favorite things in mind... the little bone shaped flat chew rawhide flips , some choohoo hooves... what fun, the Wallace family knew we would enjoy this little spree ! We want to thank the Meo Family for bringing us dinner Saturday when they drove down from Rhode Island !
They walked in with a big pan of their
favorite meal..in fact its what they named their two sunshine
beagles.. "Sausage" and "Peppers" !! It was so good we all had seconds, how thoughtful , often we stay so busy around here caring for the doggies, and especially on Saturdays when there are 5 puppies in a litter heading to their new homes & a customer coming out to meet us and our pups & leave a deposit to join the waiting list for a Springtime puppy or so.. All we had to do was pop the pan in the oven , and
soon dinner was served, too cool. We had homemade cookies too..
the
Calise family had sent along with their
puppies toys and things ahead of time... for us they sent some coffee flavoring syrup, knowing how we stay up into the night watching over the little darlins, and updating the website..
and a mason jar, with a cookie
recipe on it ,and the mixture all made up - just add the liquids for
the best chocolate chip and pecan cookies um boy they were good, we had made those up already, and had some for desert !
All went well
Saturday
Ironically the families from Rhode Island who found out they live 20 miles apart up there , arrived 20 minutes apart even though they left home at different times .The families got to compare similarities like both being Italian, big time Red Socks fans, daughters having similar names, and one Dad works selling cars, the others father , and relatives do too in that area, and at one dealership there in common. They exchanged e-mail addy's and decided to stay in touch , and possibly do get togethers at a nearby Dog Park where Donna's friends all take their doggies off-leash to romp and play together. (we told ya these wild coincidents happen here all the time !!!) we love it when they do !! Sat. we have clear
roads and folks are making it out here just fine now, thank goodness
since two families are coming down from
2 of Darla's orange boys went home today.
Its snowing here tonight !!
the Smith's had a 4 wheel drive truck to drive out here with after work Friday night to get their new son ! tommorow we hope the roads will be clear and most of the other littermates can too ! ................................ Mrs. Johnson plans to fly in to pick up the one remaining orange girlie next Saturday . ( her new family has sent her lots of toys to play with while she waits to be picked up and taken to her new home in Breezy Point Minnesota .)

Christi and Jake took off to go to a Bond Fire at his uncles in Monroe this eve while Miss C, and Cody tend to the puppies and momies here.
Happy Super bowl Sunday everyone !!

The kids got so excited to see they had gotten
Ipod
Shuffles of their own to enjoy!
The puppies got
biscuits, and toys, and a really nice big bed. And Miss C. loved the big "Snoopy" toy , Karen sent to join our "Snoopy Collection", it was soooo cute !! Feb 06 2010 Peppy
of Electra's litter got adopted by the Meyer
family. Also Joey of Brandys litter was adopted by the Stones . One by one each of our currently available puppies are finding a wonderful home with folks who appreciate them . Adopting an older pup has a real plus side with the vet work done they save considerable time and money on those trips ! ......................................................................................................... His new family sent a super surprise to us after they adopted him they had a petsmart giftcard mailed to us to thank us for him ! the message said we just wanted to send a small thank you for our little guy. He is adorable. this is just a small token of our appreciation ! how very generous and sweet of them , we meet the best people in the world in our work, and find ourselves lucky beyond words ! thanks to the Meyers we cant tell you how this helps us !!!!! We decided to play it safe and not meet with anyone who would need to drive out here with the roads icy .. There was Snow falling in Downtown Monroe Jake said when he and Christi got home with our supplies that night ... Miss C. stayed here to help deliver the newborns ! 3 girls , and 3 boys !
a Tri girl with a spot on her big blaze like our "Angel " the first dog in our bloodline had . and a "Bernie the Beanie baby" female. LIke the Ty beanie they named Bernie . Very Wide blaze and open river markings running down her back . another Tri colored little darlin this one has a medium blaze and jet black solid back. & a bernie boy with lots of open markings and a super wide blaze. and 2 more smaller tri boys, a nice group of pups ! We are busy getting ready for some Possible Bad Weather ... Everyone is chipping in to get things ready for Slushy /Icey conditions Jake is seeing to it our Fireplace is clean and set up with wood ready to be lit if our power goes out .. Thanks to Domino's daughter :"Pepper" a tri colored mini girlie for sending her mom a Petsmart Gift Card to use for her new little brothers and sisters ! She was one of Domino's last litter born a year ago who stays in touch and sends us pictures and updates and posts video's on U-Tube often from her homes. Her family sent us a cute Birthday card with her picture on it in honor of her 1st B-day !!
We have a retiring adult female we hope to place in a loving and great new home where she can stay close to home and not need a fenced yard. She never roams or leaves our home . see her on retire/rescue page ahead. We have recently sucessfully bred for May litters to arrive around here for Spring Time Beagle Puppies !! if that is your time frame we invite your emails regarding our waiting list approval process. put springtime pup in your subject line please ! Sienna had her 7 Little Angels All Girls ! 1 Solid head Chocolate girl 1 blazed Chocolate Female 1 Nano Tri Girlie ! 4 Tri mini Girls Monday night she delivered with with no trouble she has lots of good rich milk and is doing a wonderful job ! Thanks to The Fords for Bringing home souveniers from their Snow Sking Trip to Massanutten ! We can sure use the Coffee Cup alot right now with all the stayin up we do around here ! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We had a great time with their pup by Brandy " chocolate" Chip" He still has 2 brothers( Kona and Joey) here awaiting the perfect home for each , so he had fun staying with us . Folks like that since our customers keep up on their pups shots and vet work they are able to come visit us while their humans travel... kennels dont accept boarding of such young animals , so their owners cant leave them till they are old enough to have had their series of 4 shots done and gotten a Rablies shot at 4months old before they can be boarded .
"Chip" has one of the Best Least Shedding Coats we have seen in a long time, and just beautiful eyes, he is such a specimen !
Drinking Canadian coffee brought back by the Erhart family who boarded Mocha while traveling to Canada, with Autocrat coffee syrup courtesy of the Calise family from RI who had sent along a care package, and then recently claimed their 2 babies Barnum & Bailey by Darla, in our Koke Pelli coffee mug that the Ford family brought from their Ski trip to Massanutten when the came back to pick up their Chip by Brandy! Thanks so much guys, we are thinking of you all as we start our day!
Velvetine's Litter arrived by Emergency C-Section at Faulkner Animal Hospital late at night.
We really appreciate his dedication leaving his own family, and new baby to preform a C-section so all Velvetine's babies were safely born. Jake looked around at one point and said thats a Tornado alert for us on the Radio in the Vet's office! Dr. Glenn just kept working to bring each new baby beagle into the world .
It was a loud rainey night outside but we were busy and all was going well as each took its first breath of Life! Khaki cuties 4 boys, and 1 chocolate girl all made it , and are fine ! _________________________ "Miss C, Wow, what a story...I cried while reading the story of Velvetine and Dr. Glenn and all of you. Congrats on all of the new babies:)! Sheila and family " Electra's adult daughter ":Ruth" is here for a visit to be bred so we can have a gorgeous super less shedding fur litter of pups by her in MId May. we made a deal when she was adopted to have her come home on her second heat to be bred to produce a litter to continue our exclusive wonderful line of beagles with less shed tri coats !
BIG THANKS TO HER MOM AND DAD FOR SENDING THE HOMEGROWN ORGANIC GREENS, AND BOX OF ORANGES FROM THEIR PRODUCE STAND. SHE ALSO BROUGHT GOODIES FOR THE DOGS TO ENJOY TOO !
the kids have really been enjoying eating all the fresh tangerines and oranges , and we've cooked up the greens in many dishes thus far and really appreciate that thoughtfulness Vernon shared his talents growing them with us !
We think it wont be long now till we have some new faces here everyting is set up for the new litters to arrive !! Valentines Day Puppies !
We have added new pictures of Sandy's and Domino's litter to the site! both litters have had their dew claws removed last week, and are doing good getting fat and happy !
MIss C. wants to extend a huge thanks to "Mocha's" Waxhaw family . Over the holidays they went home to Canada and brought frequent visitor/boarder chocolate Mocha to stay with us .. the girls walked in with arms full of goodies to share with the puppies and moms around here for Christmas ! Treats of all kinds !! and when they came back from Canada they did the same with a bag of yummy stuff for the kids and I to enjoy for taking care of him while they traveled.... Smoked Almonds, Canadian Coffee, organic maple syrup ,& chocolates !
um boy !! you guys are the best !! we appreciate all the goodies and have fun when mocha comes to hang out with the gang here....our customers tell us its so nice to know their dog will actually have fun in its first home and they can relax knowing its safe and well cared for just as they would do !
(Darla's litter of orange and tri pups ) Both Sunny's Girls got to go home Wed. we got things set up and were able to ship her runt sized tri girl to her new family in San Antonio Texas also, so the sisters got to ride to the airport together !! Tues Jake and Christi headed to the Vet's office to get the Health Cert done for Sunny's Tri colored standard girlie to go home to her new owners in CT. on Wednesday ! Domino's litter arrived Saturday morning, she had a colorful bunch of cuties... we are working round the clock caring for the newbies and their momies. Thanks so much to the families who have written to say congrats, and mentioned they are willing to display their patience by understanding how our commitment to the little ones comes before emails and such ... we will get around to everyone soon! thanks so much for understanding ! Sandy delivered her litter of khaki cuties !!! she had a khaki girl with a blaze and one with a solid head , then a Nano khaki girlie with a solid head... they are doing good ! We are expecting some snow tonight so Jake and Christi headed out to get some firewood and bottled water just in case we need um !!
This will definitely help us continue to feed all of our babies the
best! Here she was as a pup here before she flew home with her new mom on a plane ... we found this shot and thought theyd enjoy seeing it ... you can see how beautiful her coloring got as she grew up above. ( the black drops out of the coat coloring as they age) we headed to the vet's office first thing monday morning to get health certifications on electra's two boys going to South Dakota, and Carla's khaki boy going to New York ! then going to the Charlotte airport to send them home . when Electra's adult pup from a previous litter's family vacationed over the holidays they went to Gatlinburg Tenn. and brought us back t-shirts, a little bucket of candy for the boys and for daughter Christi a nightlite and guitar shirt she loves !! thanks so much for the thoughtful gift/souveniers , we enjoyed boarding Callie while you were away !
Darla had her litter of 8 cuties, tri colored, and orange puppies !
Thanks so much to Karen Jordan ( new mom to Sunny's chocolate boy) who sent along a big box of Iams puppy biscuits for the pups and moms to enjoy, as well as a cute beaver toy, rope bone and bed so he can have his littermates scent on his things to take home for the first few nights away from everything familiar to help comfort him in his new home. our neighbor told us yesterday he was looking at pups online and had a hard time finding any beagles available .. the one he did find he said was ugly as mud quote un quote LOL ... and for a standard size it was $1097, couldnt find any others anywhere... wow. we knew puppies are hard to find right now with the colder weather ... Miss C. sends her thanks to Santa's helper's the Comley family who's two boys got a big surprise xmas morning with their new puppy ! Camie brought us candied Pecans to enjoy for the holidays yum! the puppies and momies want to thank Daniel Dubin Manion ( writer for People Magizeen) soooo much for the Iams puppy food 40 lb bag and Eukanuba small breed puppy 20lb bag she so generously donated to their upbringing here via her awesome $100. petsmart Gift card ! Christi and Jake are busy taking pictures this eve. of her pup, and littermates with the toys she sent along too ! we hope everyone had a Merry Christmas !
we are proud to say Santa sent us a special thankyou for helping him fill each and every request we approved for a home this Christmas with just what they wished for... !!
they sent along their collected Iams puppy food UPC symbols we ask folks to save for us ! As breeders we get to trade them in for coupons to help us feed everyone around Sunshine Acres !! thanks so much to all who sent us theirs with their cards we love you guys for helping to support our work raising the baby beagles you love to look at online !!
Electra's runt girl is home in VA!! She was a Christmas surprise for mom! They braved 25 inches of snow to come down and pick her up in time for Christmas ! Thanks so much Lynsley and orange sunshine beagle
Lucy for thinking of our family and our sweet little
Grace with the Graceland magnet!
Thanks Eileen, girls Sydney & Cate, and sunshine beags Raven and Gold!!
Happy Holidays Emily!!We love hearing from the folks on our waiting list that they are eagerly watching and planning for a sunshine beagle when their timeframe works out!
"Hey
Christina and Kids! Friday we met with Dave Case who had flown in again at the Charlotte Airport ,this time so he could take a chocolate boy" Bosco", home as a gift. Irenes dad had fallen for their khaki mini boy "Justin Case",and they surprised him by claiming a tiny little guy to be his new Pal. Many thanks to the Wallace family for the Yummy tin full of Salted mixed nuts and chocolate turtles and heath bar chunks.... my jeans dont fit this morning it was all so good guys !!! the Meo family sent us much needed old sheets and towels for the moms birthing room, and a stack of paper, rawhide chewsticks and just in time a box of Iams biscuits for the moms to eat .. this is possibly our favorite thing to recieve since it helps us to have right there at each moms area to toss them a few between meals since they are feeding puppies nonstop they need to eat more than a normal dog would to keep up the production of good healthy milk for the puppies to grow on !! thanks ever so much ! Finley snuggled up in his new home!!
The Poole children get to enjoy their new little puppy by Brandy before all the Holiday Rush is here... we still have several unclaimed littermates ask for info to bring one home now ! Its the MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEARRRRR !! Availabilities this Weekend! Things are moving quickly around here, and we we are getting a lot of inquries as Christmas is approaching! Folks are snatching up the pups we have right and left as early xmas gifts! It looks as though all of our active waiting list families for the Christmas / Newyears will be getting their dream puppies- its like a big puzzle but its all fitting into place wonderfully and we thank everyone for their patience with the process as we wait to hear back from each famly when its their turn to choose ! we do still have a few currently ready puppies for those who can take their baby home immediatey, before the Christmas rush is upon us. Merry Christmas from Ace!!
we love hearing from our Happy Families who keep us updated and send photos for us to see how their Sunshine Acres Beagle is doing! 12/06/09 Electra's standard tricolor boys have been claimed!! Nala, Chip, and Finley went home today! 12/05/09 New Pictures have been added! Athena's Orange Boy went home to
the Bones, and her Lemon Boy went home to the Farris Family!
They happened to come to pick their brothers up at the same time from
Jacksonville NC. and while here found out they live about 15 minutes
apart there ! Again , like so often happens here... we promiss
we didnt plan it ..
Quite often around here it seems like fate steps in and makes homecoming day with a new Sunshine Beagle a really fun experience we think !! They exchanged numbers and said it would be neat to have puppy playdates at the Park since they are so near one another !!
While Stationed in Japan the Bones family had gotten in the line for their own sunshine puppy... at first thinking they wanted a tri colored boy... while they wrote back and forth and we all got to know one another they asked if there were any souveniers we would like them to bring us from their trip oversee's .. Christi , boyfriend Jake and Miss C. and son Cody all love going to eat Sushi rolls at a local Japanese place here in Monroe.. we are regulars and they really have wonderful food there so we have really gotten interested in Japanese culture and decorations etc. ( All the neato things they brought back for us are soon to be added to their section on Athena's area !! ) eventually as they watched our little ones be born and growing up on the site they fell head over heals for Athena's narrow blazed orange cutie pie and wrote to ask if they could claim their favorite when their timeframe and turn was here.. Of course we were so happy to make that match knowing what a super sweetheart his momie was and how well one of her little fellas would grow up to be a big brother / first puppy child for them. The couple is 'expecting' a baby boy , and getting their baby beagle now we told them would be great so they could spend time training him while they wait on their own son to arrive !
Lots of young couples report it helped them learn to be responsible for caring for another... and give them a small taste of how it is going to be when they have a real baby to take care of someday ! Many thanks to the "Case family ", for their generosity , they sent an unbelievable box chocked full of goodies ... we will anxiously put to good use around here ... they even really touched my heart with unique gifts for daughter Christi to thank her for her many , MANY, devoted hours working around here to help mom out with taking photos and updating Pictures of the puppies and the information offered on our homemade website ! Son Cody often gets " Chocolate " motivation to keep him helping with the outdoor duties like feeding the dogs, and helping mom whenever she needs him ! Since Christi eats only Natural food... & watches what she eats very carefully she leaves the sweets to her brother and sometimes Jake and Miss C. to enjoy.... so everything they sent especially the Khols gift card and Journal which she will love to do her poems, and short stories etc in.... will be much appreciated and help her to see how our wonderful adoptive families appreciate the loving care she gives their babies and the Site everyday ! They are giving Tootsies tiny Chocolate male to their Grand dad.. who absolutely was smitten with him after getting to know their pup : ( " Justin" Case ).... LOL.. a khaki mini boy by Shelly adopted a while back . Thanks so very much ! When our mommies are going into Labor soon, we set her up a nice whelping area full of sheets and a heating pad the newborns can lay on when they arrive.. someone ask us recently what we
needed around here most right now.... More sheets would be great... torn ones or old fashioned patterns are fine since quite often the mother to bee.. shreds the sheets, and makes a nest to have the new puppies on . Please excuse us... someone recently brought us some biscuits to give the moms and pups that wasnt our Iams , or Eukanuba brand and we have to appologize ... some of us had ... uh gassssss we are sorry for that and wont be using other brands for everyone, any more... the rescued dogs can have the off brands.. they will appreciate it, and we wont be upseting our tummies causing those outbursts again ...!!! thanks so much to those who have sent sheets and towels we so appreciate all we can get ! since new moms shred their sheets we go thru them when we are about to have puppies !!! we also need good ones to take pics on at times so if you have changed sizes of beds etc we are happy to take the ones that no longer fit but are still nice ! thanksgiving day.. Oh Sooooo Much to be Thankful for, what a beautiful day to appreciate all the wonders around us all !! give thanks ! 11/24/09 Miss C & Christi went to the Charlotte Douglas Airport Tuesday with Sugar's two Chocolate brothers going to Leslie in Moreno Valley CA, Tracy's Tricolor boy Bowie going to the Hanlons in Santa Monica CA, and Kiki's khaki mini female Roxy going to New Canaan CT( thanks to her new family there bunches for the Petsmart $40. giftcard) ! After a long day at the Airport we decided to run over to the Southpark Mall area, and rather than cook dinner, we treated our selves to a delicious & nutritious natural meal at Earth Fare and picked up some healthy snacks to enjoy thanks to Bowie's owner Edmund's generous addition of a $50 tip for us to get some things we might need for the sunshine beagles and yummy stuff to treat ourselves for all our hard work raising his new little guy! Thanks soo much ! 11/23/09 Monday we went to the Vet's office to get the Health Certs done to ship several puppies to Calif. and CT. on Tuesday !
Jake & Christi went to the Charlotte Douglas International Airport to ship Cara's tri girlie to New York and then she joins a family member of her her owner in the Dominican Republic to fly onboard the plane there with him for the Thanksgiving Holidays!
Shelly's Khaki boy flew home to Texas and his new daddy a Fireman and 5 other Firefighters are picking him up at the airport to take to his new family the Rainey's in Victoria TX. Electra's litter of Tri colors has arrived! 2 standard girls, 2 standard boys , and 2 runtsized boys ready for x-mastime ! its an exciting time as we prepare for a wonderful Holiday Season ... this year we are working with Continental Airlines since they have special shiping available even in winter weather ! In years past we werent able to fly puppies to the Northern states due to temp. restrictions other airlines have.. Since Continental has a much more rapid handling and heated Pet Friendly Vans to transport them to the heated compartments in their Airplanes vs open baggage carts we are pleased to be able to offer shipping this winter !
Humm ,lets see what gift will last the longest for everyone in the Families years of enjoyment..?? can you find it?
we expect to have a Wonderful
Wed. we took Cara's tri girl , and shellys khaki boy to vet for their Health Certifications to fly home. He is going to Texas, and she is going to the Dominican Republic ! both fly home friday. Jake and Christi went to Charlotte Douglas International Airport Friday am. with Kiki's chocolate mini male "Riley" he is now pictured on our chocolate section on the first page... (as a great example of our long sleve of chocolates who shed the least...) to fly home to his new family in Washington State, where we started our line of companion beagles we brought to the South to be housepet Puppies due to their lack of interest in hunting abilities vs being companions!! a big thank-you to them for sending a Petsmart gift card , and treats for their puppies mom and littermates !!
Baby Girl's puppy left for her new home... Her mom Baby Girl was retired after this litter.. see more available adults from time to time on our Retire and Rescue page ahead on the site..Her new family was coming to visit family in the area from Myrtle Beach, so they were able to pick her up on their way home! We have gotten wonderful reports of how happy she is in her new home now, and even how she and their cats are getting along beautifully! Her new dad says she is a perfect beagle, and the couple lavishes her with love and gifts.. they even let her and the kitties sleep in the bed with them !! thanks to those who asked about her... we have other moms who are retiring on the retire/rescue page! one wonderful gal is available now to someone with lots of love to give her back.
Eve had her litter of 3 tri colored runt sized girlies they look just like their mom, with the color down the legs to a cute white paw . Again we send a special THANKYOU !!! To the Kelgren family for their generosity , this week they donated more rawhide chew sticks to share with each customer as they take home their new puppy, wee wee pads to use here housetraining, and give those who may be traveling by car, and need um in case! and a big box with 5 bags of Eukanuba small breed puppy food !!!! OMG we couldnt believe our eyes... she said happy birthday to the newest sunshine babies and sent along all this to help the kids and I in our mission to raise up the best possible Beagle Puppies ! we love you for all YOU do too !
( here are her girls dressed in their Beagle costumes with "Raven", and recently adopted "Gold" being held ) Eileen's beagle Pack was out hunting that night .. For Candy !! sometimes folks wonder what we could use most here... to send with their care package... ( the toys, and bed or blanket, families send ahead so their puppy has familiar items in its new home) Iams puppy Biscuits for the puppies and moms is our favorite of all ... petsmart gift cards can of course be used as needed around here for newborns , and or pregnant moms... and that helps us sooo much.. other than that we love getting the little rawhides cut in the shape of a bone--- the flat ones are easy to chew for pups and we love to have those on hand to give folks leaving out for the road home... knowing their puppy will enjoy it and the greenies or other treats we send along on the long ride home .. keeping them happy and content with their new people...or things their family sent ahead to share with their sibblings and mom before leaving for their new forever homelife with the new adoptive family !!!

interrupt our work here to much for us to trully devote ourselves to
our beagles. When time is available, we can choose to sit down and
review potential families details together, discussing possibilites,
and replying when time allows- if something comes up we can easily get
up and take care of whatever is needed here, and return to writing
back when time is appropriate. Being in the middle of a phone call
would hinder our awareness & ability to respond to what is going on
around Sunshine Acres, so as a family we have chosen not to provide
our phone number to the public so as to not only have a private family
life, but to be able to devote ourselves to the care of the newborns
and other responsibilities that we have here at home. We put the care of our babies first and foremost, meanwhile offering the joy we have found in our unique companion pets to sincere, patient, and understanding families across America who trully appreciate our values and where we are coming from as a family- those who would want us to devote our time & attentionto our babies first, are the families we would want to adopt our babies to responsibly raise and enjoy for the years to come, sending updates and pictures as they become a part of our Happy Sunshine Acres Family! |

and an idea of who is expecting in the near
future. We continually update with new litters' arrivals and new expectant mommies as time goes on. Ask about being pre-approved by our family for a puppy and join our waiting list to hold your spot in the process for when everything works out perfectly! Its works out beautifully when folks are able to plan ahead and seek our pre-approval to adopt one of our babies. When the time is right we then begin offering their preferred matches as it becomes their turn for different preference lines. By joining ahead of time, they held their spot in line ahead of time and are ahead of others in the claiming process. Sometimes people pass due to timeframes or specific desires, so the line is open to change at any time, making it possible for folks to join and be offered a chance to claim right away, or pass and continue waiting for a future turn to claim their very own matching Sunshine Acres Babies! It's perfectly fine to hold your spot in line for the future! They can then wait as long as desired, and may look forward to current or younger babies, expected litters, &/ Or future puppies. They can choose to claim a puppy at their turn(s) if everything works out, or pass & continue waiting for any reason. Tell us a about your preferred timeframe and more about yourself & one of our babies' potential home life there in your household, so that we can consider you as a good puppy home, and begin an adoptive relationship, working with you to successfully find and add the right match for your approved companion pet home!

Your New Puppy
is Ready-to-Learn-YOU ! (See our FULL ADVICE on our GUIDANCE pages- ask for the link!) |
|
All puppies go through learning
stages as they develop. Your new sunshine acres beagle
puppy will be joining your home attentive to you, his or her human
caregiver, and will be ready to begin
learning the best way to fit in with your pack for the most
fulfilling future. Take advantage of this special adapting time by
helping them understand what habits & behaviors within this pack
will be most beneficial so that everyone can be happy.
As a pack animal, puppies are
seeking out that crucial pack order and strong pack leaders to
follow, which will keep them safe throughout whatever comes in the
future. Dogs thrive within a pack when the proper protocol is
established upfront, by confident, calm and assertive leaders to
follow for the years to come. Demonstrate your leadership skills to
your new baby Beagle by establishing the ground rules from day
one, and being consistent so that he can fully learn from each
experience and move forward.
That assertive communication will bond you and your new k9 addition
closer together as they will develop a deep respect for you.
Communicate to your new puppy what behaviors are good and
beneficial, and what behaviors are bad and will not be acceptable as a lifelong
habit.
By understanding the pack boundaries, they can more easily begin
adapting to your household in order live the most harmonious & happy
life to their wonderful full potential as your own perfect companion
pet for the many years to enjoy together !
After the ground rules are
established, your beagle will have the pridlege of enjoying fewer
restrictions in the future and be given the opportunity to live an
ultimately much happier life in harmony with your pack.

Beagle Puppy Care Sometimes we get frantic calls from customers who fed more than we reccommended, saying "my puppy's tummy looks bloated" We say "cut back on the amount of food you feed tomorrow in order to feed appropriately to your little baby's size". Remember the food also expands when the puppy drinks water, so don't be surprised if their tummy looks large. A stretched tummy simply means their body was not meant to require that amount of food, and you simply need to cut back next time until their tummy is back to an appropriate size. Usually 1/4 a cup twice a day is the right amount for a new puppy, sometimes less for the smaller sized babies which again, you can always cut back its you see that it was too much. Its been shown that overfeeding a smaller size dog can lead to a larger one , just feed twice daily and carefully to keep a mini mini !!
Beagle Puppy Training
The first step to housetraining,
is setting up your bathtub for the new puppy to stay in when you aren't
able to take him outside. Puppies can sleep in your bath tub at night
, with paper on one end and a doggie bed, and toys, on the other so they can use
the paper when you are busy and aren't right with them in their new house, or
cant take them outside.
Crate training can come later at around 14 -15 weeks old, and you
can follow our advice on doing this easily from our tips page!
By starting them from the time they can walk our puppies are way ahead of
the game on housetraining and using paper !
Beagle Puppy Training
Avoiding accidents that first week learning about the new home can be a
major advantage in housetraining. You can begin taking your puppy outside to a
preferred spot in the yard starting their first day home. You can take
them out as often as possible, and begin developing a routine recording how
many times they went, and around what time. Keep in mind that they will need
to "HurryUp" as we call it everytime they eat, drink, wake up from a nap, or
play. In order to help avoid accidents, only have your puppy out on the floor
when supervised, and if he or she seems to start losing interest in you and
begin searching, they are probably looking for a spot to go, usually by
finding the scent of a spot that has already been marked as a hurry up spot
(which is why avoiding accidents in the first place is good!) When you arent
able to supervise your puppy, put them back in their contained area so that
they will be able to confidently choose paper of bed if they need to go, until
further training has been established, and house privleges have been gained. |
New Puppy Training Tip:
No Biting allowed.
Our Number One Rule in training, Is NEVER ALLOW YOUR NEW PUPPY TO NIBBLE OR
BITE ANY FLESH, even what appears to be innocent teething on your finger!
When new families come to meet our pups,
We ask that No one scrath or tickle the puppies since boundaries are still
being established and Do not allow the puppies they hold to nibble or bite
their fingers and hands.
Roughousing at a young age encourages biting as an automatic response to
the roughhands, and that type of energy can cause the wrong state of mind to
develop during such a crucial learning & bonding time. Once your puppy is an
established, responsible member of the pack, playing is fine because he
already knows the boundaries- its simply important to first guide your young
one through puppyhood maintaing a calm state of mind so that they can feel
comfortable in being calm whenever appropriate in the future, and you will
have a much easier time training, and developing obediance & trust, before the
time comes to begin exploring life's adventures with your very own sidekick!
Establishing Respect from day one is important while the new
addition is observing
the pack order, figuring out the boundaries and how to begin
adapting to the new household pack. Help your puppy understand and
learn the rules, so that they can move forward in the right
direction towards a healthy relationship with your pack and bonding
with lifelong masters, so that down
the road your canine addition will be a responsible member of the
family. By
allowing a puppy to teeth on you and bite your fingers- that acceptance of his
potential dominance will result in a loss of respect for you by the new k-9
addition to your home. Respecting you as the top dog in the family pack is
important, so that they will
be more confident in your ability to be a stonger leader for the
good of the pack and they can trust your wise discernment therefore minding whatever you
-their
calm Assertive leader- has to say !

Be the Pack Leader As puppies develop, they seek strong masters who are responsible and will show them the best way to live a long healthy & happy lifestyle within the pack. They follow those masters who make the best decisions for the pack as a whole, by being upfront, firm, and consistent on establishing the boundaries and ground rule that will make for a stronger pack down the road. From their first day home they will begin learning what behaviors seem the most beneficial to their future with your pack, and can adapt to any lifestyle that they begin learning from. This is the time to guide their adaptation so that they can learn the best way to begin fitting in with your unique pack; Be a responsible master for your learning and growing puppy by being in tune with your puppy's state of mind, understanding each situation, responding correctly so that your puppy understands the pack lesson, and can move forward in the right state of mind. update from the Morris family on Lady's Ruby!
