we received a new update from one of Lightning's boys who Miss Christina had planned to keep..so he wasn't on the website as available.. his personality was so so sweet and his size perfect .. markings great and he was going to add to our line someday as a stud. all the other pups were spoken for at Christmas time but we held onto him for ourselves. Son Cody took him to do Pet Therapy at a senior living center over the holidays and he was great with meeting the ladies and giving them lots of puppy love to cherish.
his mother Lightning is a lemon , the one color we rarely have .. so with that in his background he could not only make tri colored babies one day , he could have lemons for us .. his sisters were orange and white and silvers a tiny khaki girl & , he had a chocolate brother and a khaki one he would have the genetic background needed to make all the colors in our future litters in all sizes....
A family on the waiting list had joined after having been scamed on line by another breeder and found out about us from a family friend who had such a good experience with our beagles they referred them to sunshine acres beagle puppies so they too could have a good experience adopting a new family member. Miss C. felt so sorry for what they had experienced she decided to give up her favorite boy and let them raise him as a family pet.
now they stay In touch and send the cutest pictures it brings tears to her eyes to know how much he means to the family to have gotten him.
the picture below says it all ... isn't this what everyone hopes to find in a housepet beagle?
one so content to lay by the family fireplace relaxing ..
not outdoors running off to the woods to hunt ?
that's why we devote our lives to selectively breeding for just those qualities :)
